Interessantes Hotel mit gutem Standard. Die Zimmer sind jedoch etwas klein für die Preiskategorie, die Fenstermechanik ist seltsam, aber die Rooftopbar, wie auch der Spabereich ist ein ganz grosses Plus.

Not a comfortable place. 11 floors 2 tiny lifts one out of order the whole time. No restaurant despite saying so on website. The bar has no comfortable seating nothing to lean on. The view is not amazing either. We had to have some bar food as we couldn’t get out to the town due to a minor injury so could not get a meal at all that night. when we arrived at 10 pm we had to walk quite a distance to McDonald’s to get something! Horrendous place.

Loved the hotel, relatively easy parking for Cologne. Walking distance to everything downtown. Free GOOD Coffee 24/7, which is basically the most important need I have. If there’s one thing, the elevators are a little suspect😅. But that’s probably due to retrofitting them into an antique building. I will be staying there again next year when I come back.

Tout était parfait sauf les ascenseurs. À cause du bar qui semble être très populaire en ville, il y avait beaucoup de monde qui voyageait et c’était loin d’être efficace. Un ascenseur dédié au bar devrait être installé et un autre juste pour les clients de l’hôtel. Sinon, tout le reste était parfait.

A beautiful building directly opposite an aqua park and a short 10 minute walk to Neuplatz. The area immediately outside was quiet. Nice spacious room (king junior suite on 3rd floor) with a comfy bed and a view of the aqua park. The lighting level of the room was a little low for my preference, even with all lights and lamps switched on. The bed was comfy but I did later notice that the quilt had a stain on it. One day, I was only left 1 bath towel. I could not get the phone in my room to work. The breakfast was very disappointing. I went once at 09:30 and the buffet items had all but been taken so had to wait for replenishments. I opted for a more expensive hot breakfast (31 euros) but nobody came to take my order. The room service menu was disappointing, especially given that the only other dining option was bar snacks in the rooftop bar. I did eat there one evening and found that the service was good, and whilst a restricted menu, the food was hot and delicious, and I enjoyed a cocktail. There was often only one receptionist at the desk so you tended to have to wait to ask a simple question. They were professional and helpful though. The lobby was compact but visually impressive. The spa (5th floor) was disappointing in that there were no staff, no lockers or changing rooms. There was a nice relaxation area with loungers and a nice, clean, spacious sauna. There was no steam room. Cologne is a beautiful, friendly city.

I booked a three-night business stay at the Wasserturm Hotel Cologne, Curio Collection by Hilton, through Expedia and paid in full. I was drawn to the hotel's unique design but unfortunately checked out early on the second day. Here are the pros and cons of my experience: Pros: - Very Impressive design of the building - Friendly staff at breakfast - Beautiful Nice open-air garden area Cons: 1. Upon arrival at 10:00 pm after a long day, the receptionist checked us in hastily without providing information about amenities like the free mini-bar or open-air garden. 2. The room lacked business amenities such as shoe polish, toothpaste, and shaving cream. 3. The bed mattresses were worn out and should be replaced, although the pillows were comfortable. 4. The air conditioning did not work effectively. 5. Lack of ventilation in the room led to a musty smell. 6. The bed sheets were soiled and stained. 7- lights in the room are very dim particularly at night. In conclusion, as a business traveler, I do not recommend this hotel. Despite the positive aspects, the overall experience was disappointing, and I chose to leave prematurely. Unfortunately, I was charged for the full three-night stay as I had already paid upfront.

Immer wenn wir in Köln sind, versuchen wir im Wasserturm zu übernachten. Wir fühlen uns sehr wohl, das Hotel ist sehr schön gestaltet, sauber und der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Lediglich die telefonische Anfrage im Vorfeld war unterirdisch. Wir hatten lediglich angefragt, ob ein früherer Check-In möglich ist und wurden recht unfreundlich abgespeist, ohne dass der Mitarbeiter sich die Mühe machte, eine entsprechende Notiz zu hinterlegen. Aber das ist auch wirklich der einzige Einschränkungspunkt.

Leider war unser Zimmer/Bad sehr klein, abgewohnt, mit Bohrlöcher und Flecken an der Wand. Da wir spät angereist sind und nur für 1 Nacht gebucht hatten, haben wir das hingenommen. Der Rest vom Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und der Service ist top.
Leider war unser Zimmer/Bad sehr klein, abgewohnt, mit Bohrlöcher und Flecken an der Wand. Da wir spät angereist sind und nur für 1 Nacht gebucht hatten, haben wir das hingenommen. Der Rest vom Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und der Service ist top.

Great hotel but for one significant issue. There is a very unpleasant and lingering smell of sewage in the hotel entrance from their car park which continues in the bathroom of our room on the 11th floor. Such a shame and hopefully just a temporary issue. Apart from that we would recommend it for its design, comfort, service, roof top bar, car park and location

Wir haben ein verlängertes Wochenende mit 3 Nächten dort verbracht. Dafür dass es erst vor kurzem neu saniert aufgemacht hat, hatte es hier und da schon paar Macken. Die hätte man doch leicht beheben können, wenn man aufmerksam durchs Hotel bzw. durch die Zimmer läuft. Die Türgriffe am Bad waren lose, eine Lampe ging nicht, am Bett waren die Nischen zum Dinge abstellen total dreckig. Im Flur flackerte eine Lampe und die Fahrstühle brauchten ewig, um in den 10. Stock zu fahren bzw. anzukommen. Wir sind 2x vom 10. Stock runter gelaufen, weil kein Fahrstuhl kam. Wir waren vor 5 Jahren bereits einmal dort und wollten nun unser 5jähriges feiern. Wir waren doch diesmal enttäuscht. So wie früher war es für uns nicht mehr. Nur weil der Name Hilton drauf steht, ist noch lange kein Hilton drin. Schade. Trotzdem haben wir die Stadt Köln mit ihrem vorweihnachtlichen Flair sehr genossen. Immer wieder eine Reise wert.

Ein tolles Hotel, verkehrsgünstig gelegen. U Bahn "Poststraße" mit 4 Linien in 3 Gehminuten zu erreichen. Da Ambiente ist super, die Zimmer sind ordentlich. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Bad und Dusche sehr modern und sauber. Nachteile: Der Lärmpegel von draußen (bei gekipptem Fenster) ist, besonders Nachts, sehr hoch. Die nahegelegene Rettungswagen-Station macht es nicht besser. Aber: Fenster zu - dann ist Ruhe (Klimaanlage vorhanden). Ja, das Frühstück... Sehr lecker und reichlich, aber, wie so oft, leider total überteuert. Fazit trotzdem: Super Hotel - klare Empfehlung.

Interessantes Hotel mit gutem Standard. Die Zimmer sind jedoch etwas klein für die Preiskategorie, die Fenstermechanik ist seltsam, aber die Rooftopbar, wie auch der Spabereich ist ein ganz grosses Plus.

The hotel building is beautiful and makes use of an old water tower. The rooms were very spacious and luxurious, and the beds were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Karim who helped us check in and gave us information and recommendations. 10/10

Weekend stay with my mum & daughter, the suite was really massive & clean. I couldn’t have asked for more in a hotel room, when it came to space. I’d defo return back to this hotel in the future

A beautiful building directly opposite an aqua park and a short 10 minute walk to Neuplatz. The area immediately outside was quiet. Nice spacious room (king junior suite on 3rd floor) with a comfy bed and a view of the aqua park. The lighting level of the room was a little low for my preference, even with all lights and lamps switched on. The bed was comfy but I did later notice that the quilt had a stain on it. One day, I was only left 1 bath towel. I could not get the phone in my room to work. The breakfast was very disappointing. I went once at 09:30 and the buffet items had all but been taken so had to wait for replenishments. I opted for a more expensive hot breakfast (31 euros) but nobody came to take my order. The room service menu was disappointing, especially given that the only other dining option was bar snacks in the rooftop bar. I did eat there one evening and found that the service was good, and whilst a restricted menu, the food was hot and delicious, and I enjoyed a cocktail. There was often only one receptionist at the desk so you tended to have to wait to ask a simple question. They were professional and helpful though. The lobby was compact but visually impressive. The spa (5th floor) was disappointing in that there were no staff, no lockers or changing rooms. There was a nice relaxation area with loungers and a nice, clean, spacious sauna. There was no steam room. Cologne is a beautiful, friendly city.

Air conditioning was broken in first room (not cooling below 24.3C) and if you opened the door all rooms in that floor could access your room because there are no divisions in the balconies. The fridge did not work either, the solution was to take it out of the furniture and put it in the middle of an already small room. Did get moved on the third day to a similar room with working ac for one night, the second night it did not cool below 22 C. While in the city not much attractive in close vecinity. Bar upstairs was nice on the other hand.

I stayed at 8th floor and during checkin my key card didnt work and had to go reception twice. During breakfast , the lady couldnt find my name and had to wait long. But it was top of the list. There was no amenities in the room accept towels. Looks like the room was not ready. Overall my experience was poor

The building itself and the interior are beautiful, and the concept is really cool. But the service is severely lacking. - Upon getting to my room, I was hoping to be able to make a coffee. The room comes with Nespresso pods... but no Nespresso machine. I had to get that from room service. - On Sunday night after returning from dinner, I asked the front desk what time the hotel bar closes. He said it was closed then, but it would be open every other night during my stay. Monday night I go to head up to the bar, and the elevator button doesn\'t work. Turns out the bar is actually closed for renovations... too bad, it looks great in the pictures. - On Monday, I left the "please clean room" sign on the door from 8:30am, and it was still there at 4:30pm when I returned to the room. No one cleaned, and we had to ask them to clean while we were away at dinner. - On Tuesday, we didn\'t leave the sign up, but they still didn\'t clean the room. Oddly... they had come in the room while we were away, and they left the key card, but they didn\'t actually clean. - Also on Tuesday, after having been at the hotel for 48 hours, they locked me out of my room. After going to the front desk, they said that I had only paid for two nights. I proved otherwise, and they said that someone had actually forgotten to check me in, and that it registered me as a no-show. How is that even possible?

Overall Wasserturn is an impressive building and the rooms are modern and clean. However our bathroom had a plumbing issue and despite repeated requests it wasn’t fixed during our stay, nor was an alternative option offered. Considering the prices are in the region luxury I would’ve expected a lot more. Also service in the Botanix bar was really poor, which was really disappointing given that this was a special birthday we were celebrating.

It was a clean, nicely kept hotel. The rooftop bar was good to head to in the evening. Facilities in surrounding area are limited and quite a walk to the key tourist places. Asking questions of the hotel staff was not great at all. Limited answers despite trying to gain an insight into specific places.

The hotel was fabulous and the staff so attentive. They realized it was my birthday from my passport and brought me cookies and a card and offered us free breakfast. I would absolutely stay there again.

Vi havde et fint ophold på et hotel med en praktisk og central beliggenhed. Værelset var pænt indrettet, og sengene var meget komfortable, hvilket gav os en god nattesøvn. Morgenmaden kunne dog have været bedre – udvalget var en smule sparsomt og ikke særligt inspirerende. Det trak lidt ned, men alt i alt levede hotellet op til vores forventninger. Et særligt højdepunkt var baren på toppen, som absolut er et besøg værd – fantastisk udsigt og god stemning.
Vi havde et fint ophold på et hotel med en praktisk og central beliggenhed. Værelset var pænt indrettet, og sengene var meget komfortable, hvilket gav os en god nattesøvn. Morgenmaden kunne dog have været bedre – udvalget var en smule sparsomt og ikke særligt inspirerende. Det trak lidt ned, men alt i alt levede hotellet op til vores forventninger. Et særligt højdepunkt var baren på toppen, som absolut er et besøg værd – fantastisk udsigt og god stemning.

Lovely repurposed old water tower, and our room on the 9th floor had a great view up to the cathedral. The hotel isn’t in that great an area, but you can get into town on the metro stop (Post Strasse) almost next door. The interior of the building is interesting and you can get free tea/coffee/bottled water in the comfortable lounges downstairs. There is a bar on the top floor, but it was quite noisy, so not a peaceful place to enjoy the view!

The hotel isn’t in that great an area, but you can get into town on the metro stop (Post Strasse) almost next door. There is a bar on the top floor, but it was quite noisy, so not a peaceful place to enjoy the view!

We stayed here for business trip.(4-stops away from Köln Messe, very convenient.) Breakfast was great. Very unique building, staffs were all helpful, quiet neighborhood. Only tricky thing was that we had a few stairs just before the room and it was dark.(after lift) Overall satisfying stay

Hotel is amazing with relaxing atmosphere. Room was wonderful and peaceful to sleep. I loved the breakfast and that sedative atmosphere in breakfast room. You could here birds singing and start your day with healthy and wide selection. I highly recommend this hotel.

Vi havde et fint ophold på et hotel med en praktisk og central beliggenhed. Værelset var pænt indrettet, og sengene var meget komfortable, hvilket gav os en god nattesøvn. Morgenmaden kunne dog have været bedre – udvalget var en smule sparsomt og ikke særligt inspirerende. Det trak lidt ned, men alt i alt levede hotellet op til vores forventninger. Et særligt højdepunkt var baren på toppen, som absolut er et besøg værd – fantastisk udsigt og god stemning.

Very nice hotel. We loved it and miss now that we are in another hotel with a much lower standard and much higher costs! The breakfast restaurant is heavenly!

Not a comfortable place. 11 floors 2 tiny lifts one out of order the whole time. No restaurant despite saying so on website. The bar has no comfortable seating nothing to lean on. The view is not amazing either. We had to have some bar food as we couldn’t get out to the town due to a minor injury so could not get a meal at all that night. when we arrived at 10 pm we had to walk quite a distance to McDonald’s to get something! Horrendous place.

Es war einfach eine super Übernachtung in diesem Hotel! Ich übernachte häufig in Hotels, auch in gehobener Klasse. Aber so ein gigantisch gutes Frühstück hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr!! Aber auch der Rest war Top!!! Vielen Dank!!

Wirklich ein tolles und außergewöhnliches Hotel, mit einer besonderen Architektur. Besonders zu erwähnen ist das Frühstück, hier gibt es sowohl ein großartiges buffet als auch a-la-carte Gerichte. Es hat wirklich super geschmeckt!

A beautiful building directly opposite an aqua park and a short 10 minute walk to Neuplatz. The area immediately outside was quiet. Nice spacious room (king junior suite on 3rd floor) with a comfy bed and a view of the aqua park. The lighting level of the room was a little low for my preference, even with all lights and lamps switched on. The bed was comfy but I did later notice that the quilt had a stain on it. One day, I was only left 1 bath towel. I could not get the phone in my room to work. The breakfast was very disappointing. I went once at 09:30 and the buffet items had all but been taken so had to wait for replenishments. I opted for a more expensive hot breakfast (31 euros) but nobody came to take my order. The room service menu was disappointing, especially given that the only other dining option was bar snacks in the rooftop bar. I did eat there one evening and found that the service was good, and whilst a restricted menu, the food was hot and delicious, and I enjoyed a cocktail. There was often only one receptionist at the desk so you tended to have to wait to ask a simple question. They were professional and helpful though. The lobby was compact but visually impressive. The spa (5th floor) was disappointing in that there were no staff, no lockers or changing rooms. There was a nice relaxation area with loungers and a nice, clean, spacious sauna. There was no steam room. Cologne is a beautiful, friendly city.

A nice and clean property. Breakfast was great. Disappointing was that there was no proper Conceirge service, staff was pleasant but were unaware of their surroundings and cologne area as such. air conditioning did not work and temperatures were always set at 25 degrees despite making 3 complaints on each days.

Excellent gym with 4+ machines (bicycles, ellipticals), dumbbells up to 20kg, a cable machine, and an assisted power rack. I stayed in a room with a loft / spiral stair case. Lots of space, but slightly inconvenient as bed is upstairs and bathroom / wardrobe is downstairs. The room was very dark with a single window due to building design, so could use more lighting in the living room like a floor lamp(s). Rooftop bar is a nice addition with amazing views. Definitely mention you are a hotel guest as they were at capacity and limiting access. Overall would stay again at this hotel as the building is so unique and very close to a metro station (one block away).
