Stanford Inn by the Sea was just what we needed for our little birthday getaway. We were warmly greeted by Alex, the amazing concierge, who was so patient, very helpful and professional. The restaurant serves excellent vegan dishes. We enjoyed every bite of their healthy and delicious meals. Everyone was amazing! We look forward to going back.

A incredible experience in this hotel. Everything Is set to take your physical health and spirit into the arms of mother Nature and the healing effects are remarkable. At breakfast time you are welcome by extremely gentle and caring personnel that set a mark in kindness suggesting the best for your health. You are great guys!!

Upon checking in, the new receptionist gave us keys that didn’t work. Nothing more irritating than having to go back and get keys fixed. Add to that our room door was stupidly placed near a step which caused me to trip and fall. This hotel doesn’t take ADA compliance seriously or they would have ramps that are not trip hazards. The food was healthy j suppose but I got heartily sick of vegan after 1 day. We went to happy hour and learned this hotel is so cheap they don’t even offer snacks with the happy hour cocktails we had to purchase. They later brought tortilla chips but that was after our drinks were almost over. How sad is it that a hotel that charges the prices this one does can’t even manage a quality happy hour. My overall feeling was this hotel is overpriced, unsafe and cheap from a service standpoint. If guests came to my house I would offer drinks and snacks. Would not stay here again.

Beautiful property. The staff were so friendly and absolutely amazing! They provided outstanding hospitality with a personal touch! My fiancé and I absolutely loved the amenities- our favorite thing might have been relaxing each night in front of the fireplace in our room after a soak in the hot tub. Also, the donkeys were very cute 😁

It is a beautiful place situated in the hills above Mendocino. The views are superb, and the rooms well appointed. However, the vegan restaurant was a huge disappointment. Vegan food can be delicious but this one certainly was not. In addition, the vibe of the place was a little too New Age-y for my taste.
