Luxor

There were no available table games the first 2 nights of our stay as the casino only had 1/2 open (they were full)….parking was a nightmare!! Had to park at Mandalay Bay 3 nights in a row and walk back to Luxor each time☹️ Room had no refrigeration but they will bring a lunchbox size cooler for your meds if you ask…No wonder these rooms were cheap…what’s worse if when you let the front desk know about these issues, they do nothing for you. They are certainly experts at knowing how to lose customers!! We won’t be back Luxor 👍

The elevator smelled of urine. There were puddles of urine on the way to self parking. You could not get anyone to assist you creating a key card for your room.

Pool closed to early.

We loved the unique design of the Luxor and the pool area was well laid out however after spending $350 to rent a cabana for our group of eight people we found out that we were unable to be able to carry on a conversation in that cabana beginning at noon when the DJ showed up and crank the music so loud that we couldn’t even think. I think it would be wise to instruct people when they are choosing a rental of that expense to let them know that the music will get considerably louder starting at the time the DJ arrives.The staff were very friendly and helpful. On the downside it was very disappointing that soaking the guests for cash seems to be the highest priority. I have been hearing for months now about how tourism to Las Vegas is way down and the common reason given as to why , is that tourists feel gouged at every turn . Resort fees are a prime example. Room rates are expensive enough without a resort fee. The Luxor has taken advantage of every opportunity to empty the pockets of the guests. Charging a rental fee to have a fridge in our room is pathetic! Charging $150 for two chairs with an umbrella is also a joke . We paid $15 for the exact same set up at the Rio hotel 5 days before our stay at the Luxor. It seems to me that the Luxor has some lessons to learn about attracting guests. Consider how potential customers reading this review will react to seeing the details of how you do business. I would look elsewhere!

All round good hotel, but no sun shades making it impossible to relax and enjoy the pool on a hot day.

Room was clean, beds were comfy, ysung the kiosk, check in was fast. I liked how you had to scan your keycard to access the floors on the elevators. Parking was $20 a night

The hotel is nice but the parking is a nightmare. If you come back to the hotel after 11pm you can forget finding a parking spot. They need to expand their parking structure. I had to park at Mandalay then walk back to the Luxor because we circled for hours looking for parking to no avail.

They didn’t spend a dime for maintenance in last century. Elevators are making so much noise and just dragging through the shafts. I remember how was back in the day smooth and clean but nowadays is just waiting for something bad to happen. It was a rainy day and leaks can be seen. The hotel should invest into new furniture and mattresses. Luxor will be on my avoid list from now on.

One of the main issues is they need to get that nasty dead rat smell out of all the elevators. Every time I was on one that was what everyone was saying. Not kool. Then the check in process needs to be updated. Then the estl morning check out process. Why do I need to go to the front desk if I already paid?

Clean older room. Pool was closed for season

Horrible experience we checked in the room was dirty. There was blood on the bathroom floor we called. We had to wait 40 minutes till someone got back to us. All they did was move us over didn’t take care of us after a horrible experience of checking in.

I had a stay well room that had mold in the ceiling air purifier was not working and all others too.

Could have been cleaner. It was hair on the bathroom floor and in shower soap holder. Room dusty.

Have room ready for occupancy. Staff at front desk were awesome. 1st room we went up to had drying fans going to remove moisture and humidity from room that may have been flooded or deep cleaned. At least 4 fans in room. Had a repugnant Oder. Had to wait to get new room way too long for the inconvenience. 2nd room was ok a little grungy felt a lil grimy stains on furniture that kind of grimy. More than likely won’t be going back to the Luxor

Room smells bad, and I wasn’t able to sleep, we can hear loud noise all the time.

The carpet had stains, the counters were cracked and it was patched over with some sort of glue liken substance. The ceiling was chipped of in the restroom . The room was kind of smelly.

Room was clean bathroom and a little mold in the corners

I was on the twentieth floor, in the room I stayed in the first night I found a bed bug. One on my shoe and the other close by the bed. When I brought the issue to the front desk they relocated me yet, they have still not compensated for it saying they had to run tests. I am very upset about this. I am now back home and have not been contacted further about the issue.

Room was spotless and easy access to casino floor

I ended upgrading our room which was good; however, the sheets were unclean as well as the shower. The sheets had a stain on them and the shower had hair that clearly did not belong to my bald headed husband nor mine as neither one of us had taken a shower just yet. No water in the room. No microwave. No refrigerator. Old TV that barely worked. I will definitely be staying off the strip next time in Vegas.

Check in was smooth and staff were nice. The room in the newer tower had no refrigerator and the tv was “initializing” the entire time I tried turning it on- so no working tv either.

The suites in the tower are the way to go at the Luxor!

Cool design, room need renovation

The beds and pillows were great and the room was spacious. Overall, the hotel is a bit run down and we could hear every word the people in the room next to us were saying and they were not talking loudly. Disappointed there wasn’t a mini fridge in the room- will definitely read the amenities list closer next time. Mobile check in was not working and check in took forever (nearly an hour in line at 11pm on a Wednesday). A good lower end hotel but next time I will spend a bit more to stay at a higher end hotel.

The room had seen better days and smelled like smoke. Very basic amenities - 25 bucks to add a minifridge. Mirror of wardrobe had disconcerting substance sprayed over the bottom half. Bed was comfortable.

I didn't like that there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room.

Room was wonderful, but the TV was very old and out dates chanels were ever blurry didn’t have great service.

Tower rooms are an excellent value

The bed was clean. The shower was clean, but the room looked very very dated. The furniture in the suite section the couches looks disgusting. The table tops all had glass covers because the furniture underneath was very chipped and worn. It was highly disappointing because I expected it to be a more comfortable experience. I have stayed in suites at the Luxor before just never in the pyramid always in the tower. If you do decide to get a sweet, do yourself a favor and book it in the tower. The pyramid side really needs some updating.

Room was in need of a refresh.

Check in was way too long, but that’s every resort in Vegas. The staff was very personable, friendly and efficient.

I’m still here at the Luxor Hotel. Great and kind check-in by front desk employee named April. She was so nice with a smile and professional. The room is very clean and so much space. It’s modern with a big screen tv. So nice. I’m completely HAPPY! It’s Thanksgiving Holiday and I’m grateful!

The room was very clean, the staff very nice and professional. The mobile check in through the app is genius. The check in was fast, efficient and user friendly. Will definitely come back and stay longer next time.

I was in Las Vegas briefly for a memorial service, and actually only in the hotel for 10 hours. I chose the hotel for proximity to the airport and the reasonable rate. I gave it 3 stars overall, but it was acceptable for the price. My experiences: -I needed to let the hotel know I would be arriving after midnight due to a late flight. I was on hold for 90 minutes before someone answered. -This was my first time staying in a casino hotel. I was bothered by the smoke in the casino which was the center of everything so it could not be avoided. Fortunately, my room was on the 11th floor where smoke was not noticeable. -The room was big and the bed comfortable, but the pillows were big and too hard to sleep on. It was 1 am and based on my difficulty even calling the hotel, I didn’t even try to get a different pillow. -The ice machine on the 11th floor was broken. -The white hand towels and washcloths were lightly stained. -The shower was nice, but the shampoo dispenser was empty. I most likely will not choose to stay in a casino hotel again even though I will have to pay more.

When we checked in to the first room it was dirty. The room had not been cleaned and ready for us to stay. We had to go back to the check in line & had to get another room. The second room was clean but we were bummed that there was no refrigerator or microwave. Also, when showering the ceiling started to drip water from the steam. I would have to give my stay a 6 out of 10 only because the clerk who issued our second room gave us $100 credit to eat & get a drink at the bar.

My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The first room I was given was dirty, with visible trash left from previous guests. When I went to the front desk to report it, the staff was dismissive, unhelpful, and acted as if I was bothering them. I was eventually moved to a cleaner room, but the attitude at the front desk remained consistently unpleasant throughout my stay. Calling from the room was no better—be prepared to wait around 30 minutes on the phone before anyone answers, if they even pick up at all. Food options in and around the hotel are very limited, mostly unhealthy, and shockingly overpriced. The general atmosphere of the property isn’t great either, as the crowd it attracts can be loud, chaotic, and inconsiderate, making it difficult to relax. Despite all this, I did encounter some genuinely kind staff members, especially among the cleaning team and at the bell desk. They were polite, hardworking, and clearly doing their best. Unfortunately, their efforts are overshadowed by extremely poor management. The manager is disengaged, arrogant, and indifferent to customer concerns, which explains why the service culture is so weak. Overall, the experience felt frustrating and far below what anyone should expect from a hotel. I cannot recommend staying here unless major changes are made.

Booking charged me the resort fee. Luxor charged me the resort fee again. I need to be reimbursed. The line for requesting the reimbursement was unfeasible in less than 1 hour wait. That’s disrespectful (even for who was checking in).

Check-in was a great experience-- we felt like we were valued customers and our requests were met with a really good attitude. The room was great-- clean, comfortable, and quite roomy. I would definitely stay there again.

The check in process was by far the worst. The line was incredibly long, and they tried to make it easier by offering mobile check in. But the process is complicated and they make you download an app to do it. The whole process probably took 25 minutes. The second thing I didn't love was that the front desk would never answer their phone. I probably called four times. No answer. Ever. At 11 in the morning. Not in the middle of the night. Those two things were enough to make me not want to stay at the Luxor again.

Loved the decor at the Luxor. Convenient to the Strip. Everyone was so friendly.

Second time staying at the Luxor. Location is close to events we go to. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food court and breakfast restaurant is great. They offer discounts and free parking for Veterans.

Decent room. Good bed and walk-in shower. Everything worked. Best attribute of the Luxor is that it is a short walk to the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Great location, will stay again!

Room was a little dated but that’s expected with the high volume of visitors. Pricing was great. Location was great. All around great visit and place to stay

Flew into Vegas for G Dragon concert at T Mobile Arena. Luxor Hotel was in walking distance to the arena. My room was clean and very quiet. There’s restaurants and Starbucks inside Luxor Hotel so you really don’t have to leave the Luxor grounds. The price was right and I definitely recommend staying at The Luxor.

Our room was very nice, quiet and clean. We were very happy with everything about the room. Check in was fairly easy and checkout was a breeze. Breakfast was very good and there was plenty of variety to choose from.

The hotel was nice, and the restaurants were good, but they need better food court options. Luckily, the connected hotels had some good choices, but check-in was terrible!

I stayed here in November last year as well as this past week in August. The location is good for what I'm looking for... it's easy to walk almost anywhere I wanted up to Belagio or the other closer Mandalay Bay. The eating options are good, the staff friendly. Two Starbucks on site ❤️ Will stay here again for sure.

For the price it wasn’t too bad, and it felt like our room was on the newer side. Inside shops were very meh, and so were the food options. The elevators were truly horrendous but you can get past it.

No pool. No breakfast. Coffee wasn't offered.

Didn’t eat breakfast, or dinner, only ate at the Food Court, which had little variety, and way overpriced.

Food was nice and fresh at pyramid Cafe service was great

Good check in, but long line. For the price the room should have been in better shape. Tile broken on exterior of shower and somebody else's hair in bathroom. Shower soap, hand soap, and shampoo seemed to be the same thing. Smelled like marijuana at times. Need refrigerator in rooms. I enjoyed my stay overall.

It was generally a good place to stay. I was there due to a flight cancellation so I didn’t explore much. The room was nice and clean. Restaurants were limited. Store was open late and the bar area had a small crowd. Staff was very friendly. It was odd to see laundry in the hall at 10:30 pm but maybe they were short staffed.

THE BAD: The hotel wasn't great but not terrible either. I know its Egyptian themed but it seemed tired and dated for 2025. The restaurant choices inside to hotel leaves much to be desired with their buffet permanently closed, four main restaurants, two of which are only open for dinner and only one open for breakfast. THE GOOD: The room although dated a bit was very clean and pretty nice for the price. There is a Starbucks, 24 hour deli, frozen yogurt stand and a food court with several different options. The staff was amazing Best of all was the pool. Although there are four pools only one was open during our time there but it was pretty big enough with all the guest using it. I highly recommend renting one of their daybeds with umbrellas
