The staff at the front desk was supper helpful getting additional towels. Not sure why a booking for a family of 4 would only have 2 towels ? The TV looked new but was so blurry we couldn't watch for long. The bathroom had hair from previous guests along the tub and floor. There was also a hairclip on the floor by the bed. Housekeeping could use a refresher training. Ice machine in the hallway was out of order.

Our A/C was a little loud but did keep the room VERY cold. The pool was filled in, which was a bummer. Cute place, though, and staff were very friendly and kind.

Pros: Room was clean. Decorations were cute (retro). Bed was very comfortable. Quiet room - even though right off main drag. Cons: Grab & Go breakfast not appealing (didn't use). Ice machine close to room broken - had to get from office. WiFi was weak - but adequate. We'd stay here again!

This hotel is in a convenient location on the east side of Silver City. In the 1960s, this would have been an excellent hotel. Now, it is a slightly updated version of a hotel from the 1960s, showing many signs of wear that the owners have tried to cover. The toilets are small, low, and rocking with a glued together handle. The bathroom had a nice, new tub and shower, but stains on the walls around the new tub are disturbing. Trash nor any room service was provided the three nights we stayed there. Trash was also not removed daily from the outside cans. The $150 hold on the room that still hasn't been released is ridiculous for a hotel of this caliber. (We checked out yesterday, the whole room was charged the first night in addition to the $150.) I appreciated the fresh coffee in the lobby and the kindness of the staff. I also appreciated the price. The outdoor seating and the ice machine were nice. The AC was loud and rattling, but the filters were fairly clean and the temperatures were good.

Comfortable bed. Clean room. Super cute. Bathroom fixtures older but clean. Room well-appointed. Front desk person very kind to offer to switch us to a lower floor room so we could park outside the door. Thank you! Breakfast cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, bread. Overall, a fantastic value and excellent night’s sleep.

The LuLu was perfect for our 1 night stay. Check in was easy. Parking right in front of the room, the room was small but very clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well.

I would not recommend staying at the LuLu Hotel in Silver City. During my stay, I discovered bed bugs in the room. I reported the issue to the front desk but the lady was unapologetic and dissmisive given how serious the problem is. I did talk to the manager, who was out of town and he said that they will resolve the issue I have photos documenting the infestation, and I am in contact with corporate to request a full refund. Now I have to take extra precautions to make sure the bugs didn’t come home with me. The property needs to address pest control and cleanliness immediately before accepting more guests. Until that happens, I strongly advise others to stay elsewhere

I have stayed at Lulu in the past, and had a great experience, which is why I booked again. We arrived past midnight, so our keys were left in a lock box. When entering the room, it was obvious that the floors were absolutely filthy. Since no one was in the lobby, I brought this to their attention in the morning. I sound with the manager of housekeeping, who inspected the room and apologized for the dirty floors. When entering, he noticed a dirty handprint on the wall. When returning to the room later that night, the handprint was cleaned off of the wall, but it was obvious that the floors were not mopped because they were still filthy. The bathroom had a spot on the ceiling from a leak, and it looked like it had black mold. I let management know, and they apologized.

The room has a huge spot of black mold growing in the bathroom. The room smelt of cigarettes, the TV was inoperable. Upon checking in, I was first given a room that was already being used. Luckily I heard people inside the room before using the key card as I was about too. Not safe. Upon getting a new room, I discovered black mold growing in the bathroom. Unacceptable. The entire room smelt of cigarettes and there were burn marks present in the room. Upon messaging staff, I was only told they’d inform management and maintenance. UNACCEPTABLE. There is a legal obligation to provide a safe, clean, and habitable environment as a hotel, it seems all 3 boxes were not checked.

We always stay at the Lulu when we are in Silver City. It’s inexpensive and a convenient place to stay. That said, this time around our room was a bit dirty. The floors were covered in grime and left the bottoms of our feet super dirty. The comforter was pretty stained as well. All in all still worth the price compared to other options in town.

The room was not cleaned. We had a late check in. When walked in room looked decent beds were made. After settling in and going to shower, toilet had not been cleaned, human feces around the toilet bowl, shower had not been cleaned, then we notice the fitted sheet had dirt.. informed the front desk person but it was like oh who cares Ill informed the staff.

Dead cockroaches-everywhere! The clerk refused to give us a key because it even though it was after 2pm check in was @3pm. Less than an hour. We didn’t want to be in the room just needed a key because we had an event lasting until after midnight…. Oh until we paid an extra 20.00. Cold, rude, unfriendly. Would absolutely NOT recommend. AVOID at all costs. Terrible.

We were fooled by the reviews. This place is extremely dirty with restrooms falling apart with a moldy and stinky shower curtain. This is not a place for families since it's filled by workers that are on contract nearby. They sit outside the rooms to socialize, drink beer, and smoke pot.

This hotel has a little charm, and is a decent value, however I don't understand the higher ratings. It could use an update and is shabby and a little worn. The wifi was terrible, constantly going out, and apparently the management just doesn't want to spend the money to fix it since it is an ongoing problem. And the breakfast is grim - no protein, other than milk, not even hard boiled eggs.

This is not necessarily a bad review but it didn’t live up to the 8.6 review that made me decide to book this motel. Cleanliness was OK. The carpet was stained in front of the bed, there were several patch jobs on the walls and bathroom door that they just slopped some paint on that didn’t match. Seriously outdated but the price was right for its condition. Beds were comfortable.

WIFI is very weak. If you are lucky to be close to a wifi hotspot, it is fine. But most rooms have very weak signal. They need to improve this. Otherwise, the rooms are clean and staff very friendly.

Nicely decorated - we had a great baby blue mini-fridge and microwave. Waffles available at continental breakfast but nothing else hot (except toast/bagel). Only major negative was that despite their advertising claiming "strong WiFi throughout the property," we never got it to work in the room. Poor signal on all SSIDs and no Internet.

This is a budget hotel with good beds, Ok room and bath, but the internet is essentially non-functional. It goes in and out and the staff person said that is normal. They need to upgrade their routers to a modern version that has a mesh network instead of multiple repeaters as they seem to have now -- not expensive or technically challenging to do. The breakfast has apples, oranges, waffles you can make, juices, milk, raisin bran, fruit loops, quaker oatmeal and bread/bagels.

This was a family trip with a baby, we stay two nights. The hotel has been remodeled into a simple yet beautiful retro style! Very comfortable beds with clean spotless linens, very clean bathroom and towels. Very clean, smelling fresh room. Very affordable price. The breakfast composed of making your own waffles, toast, bagels, fresh fruit, instant oatmeal, and hot coffee, its a great start to your day! The staff is polite, professional, attentive, and in a vey good disposition to provide anything missing in the room. Thank you, Lulu's staff!!

The room was clean. I happened to have a room next to the stairs, so the outside was well lit, which I understand, but the curtains in the room didn't help much in blocking the light so it was fairly light inside the room (at night).

It met my basic requirements of safety for me and my vehicle, quietness during day and night, and working basic amenities such as shower, air conditioner and TV. And when I showed up after hours at 11pm to check in, I saw a number to call where the staff told me the code to my lock box that was next to the front door to get my room key, which I've never seen before and was very convenient so I could get into my room without delay. I would definitely stay there again!

LuLu is definitely unique! We love the design and the decor is fun! It is easily accessible ands located in the perfect spot. The staff is super friendly and accommodating! We always enjoy staying at LuLu! Our room was great, however it did look like maybe cleaning forgot to vacuum. And the remote for the TV did not work. Other than that everything was great and we will definitely be back!

Everyone that ran the desk was extremely helpful, I had two handicap people with me and forgot to ask for a ground floor and they did everything they could to accommodate me. They were fabulous even came from the office to help me get people out of the car to my room.

Cute old hotel updated MCM. Not many sit down restaurants in the immediate area. Corners of bathroom not clean and paint is peeling of walls. Smells of chemicals or mold in bathroom. Not within walking distance of historic downtown like I thought.

This hotel has a little charm, and is a decent value, however I don't understand the higher ratings. It could use an update and is shabby and a little worn. The wifi was terrible, constantly going out, and apparently the management just doesn't want to spend the money to fix it since it is an ongoing problem. And the breakfast is grim - no protein, other than milk, not even hard boiled eggs.

Motel is quite lovely! I l love retro decor microwave and refrigerator! Very clean! The front desk ladies were very helpful in the confusion of my reservation! What breakfast was okay wish they had some boiled eggs! But other than that everything was great and I would recommend this place anyone traveling through Silver City! Good job Lulu's!!

Great staff and management. Super comfortable bed. Pet friendly. Nice breakfast. Only hot item is the waffles. Everything else was very fresh (juice, muffins, coffee and milk for cereal). Only con is the wifi. If wifi is essential during your trip, this is not the hotel for you. The wifi was spotty at best. It went up and down like a yoyo. Overall, nice clean hotel.

I arrived at 11 pm and the front desk closed at 10 pm. There was a sign in the door that said to text this number and you will get instructions on how to open the lock box with your key in it. I texted multiple times but never did not receive a response. Then another sign on the door saying if it is after hours call this number and they will be able to assist you. I called multiple times and no one ever answered. Therefore, I was stuck driving around Silver City at midnight looking for a hotel room in a city which I had never visited before. It was an absolute terrible experience.
