Amazing property . Right off the interstate and close to many dinning options . Quiet but convenient. Amazing staff . The rooms are modern, spacious and very clean . My family of 5 had plenty of room. The pool is wonderful and heated . Easy parking !

Noise from the freeway very loud. Swimming pool not working. Shower curtain very smelly so showering was an unpleasant experience. Pancake maker not working. Spoke to manager Stephanie at check out who promised a part refund, but did not get in touch.

Wonderful single night stay at this hotel, I was uncertain where to book when there is so much choice but would 100% stay here again. We had such a warm welcome from Zoe on reception who was helpful and patient with our questions. The room was perfect for us and our three children with plenty of space for bags (so much better than the Hyatt hotel we had stayed at in Washington the previous two nights at more than double the price). Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The pool was a good temperature and clean. All the staff we met were warm and helpful, thank you and I hope we can return someday.

There was trash on the window ledge, some type of crumbs on the carpet around the bed, hairs in the shower and my wife found a few smaller hairs in the bed on both pillows. The hotel is in a great location and it is fairly new and up to date but it just seemed like the housekeeping was below par since we have stayed here in the past. We still like staying here and will in the future if we are in the area

The site was pretty clean. Our room was pretty clean except our bathroom. You could tell housekeeping was cutting corners in the bathroom. Dirty hand prints in the shower. Floor around toilet dirty looking. Splatters on mirror. THE MATTRESS' WERE SO UNCOMFORTABLE. WE TRIED BOTH BEDS BUT COULDN'T GET COMFORTABLE AND BOTH OF US WOKE UP WITH SORE BACKS.

Within 5 minutes of entering our hotel room a bed bug was crawling on our bed. We gathered all our belongings and went to the front desk. Told them quietly what happened. The manager tried to tell us it was a stink bug. I said we did not feel comfortable staying after this and how do I get a refund? The manager said that the general manager had to issue the refund and she would be in tomorrow morning and call me. No call was received, so I left a message on her voicemail. Still no call back so I called the front desk. Still no help. Don’t stay at this hotel! Bed bugs and poor customer service!

Property was generally excellent. However, we stayed in a room where the previous guest (s) had pets in the room and room had a strong odor of dogs. As a pet owner, I would prefer that pets be confined to specific rooms or floors so that those without pets dont have the odor. The room appeared clean but the chair and carpet smelled the most.

The hotel is brand new and very clean. It took us close to 30 min to check in which after being on the road for 8 hours was disappointing. The room was clean and very comfortable. The two things that were very disheartening was the air conditioner never really shuts off it makes noise 24-7 so those with brain injuries beware. And they have a blinking light directly over the bed for a smoke detector or some other safety feature, very poor placement.

The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom and walk in shower were clean and large. The Keurig in the room was a nice touch. I liked that it was a nice walk around the hotel - like a small clean park. The breakfast food looked good but did not tast that great without the gravy but most of the people were eating lots of it. I only had a small portion.

Room is big and clean. Front desk lady was very nice, shared all details for breakfast and WiFi and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. The hotel is next to the highway so if your room is close to it, you can hear a bit of the road. It’s not very noisy but if you are sensitive to noise, it could be bothersome. Overall clean, welcoming, well located hotel.

The desk clerk was very hospitable. He was theonly one working when we arrived around 4 pm. He was helping multiple people at once and answeringnthe desk phone. He apologized multpile times and i told him not tonworry that i completly understood his situation. The room was clean and comfortable and had a larger television than most hotels with the ability to cast your phone to it. My only two complaints are that we were on the 4th floor and the room above us was holding a track meet between 9pm and 10pm ( or at least thats what it sounded like. I know thats not the hotels fault.) And the breakfast was very subpar. They ran out of multiple items within the first hour it was open and there where many other guests that were not happy. But, i still give it a 4-star due to the comfort of the room itself and the extordinary gentleman at the front desk.

Excellent hotel ! Two issues: bed is somewhat soft for our liking. As mentioned, we like the hotel. We usually do not have noise issues, but above our floor, a family w/kids ran around late at night for a couple of hours. Parents were just as heavy-footed. Remedy: will ask for a higher floor next time.

Overnight stay. Nice hotel. Proximity to the highway was good for driving but bad for sleeping. Rooms were clean. Bed was appropriately soft/hard for a good night sleep. Breakfast was OK. Value was OK. Recommended for a stay in this area.

Location is great, complimentary breakfast is really good and the heated pool is very nice. I can’t say enough good things about the facility itself, very nice. The only downside I can say is that the floors/ceiling are fairly “thin” and not noise proof. Between someone above us apparently running laps and them having a dog also it was not a peaceful stay at all. I did make the front desk person aware and they assured me they would address this with those above us. That worked for the majority of the day but then the “track meet” resumed just before bed. I would consider staying there again but only if I could be guaranteed a top floor room.

Staff members were repeatedly rude, and either uninformed, or under trained for their position. Made arrangements to check in early with the hotel 3 days prior to our arrival, everything was confirmed. Upon arrival “ we don’t have a room for you” after 40 minutes of searching they find my reservation, to then which I’m told I can’t check in for multiple hours longer. After some conversation we’re finally offered to check in IF we pay a $50 early check in fee. Asked to speak with a manager, none available or on duty (@ 10am on a Friday) At this point one of the cleaning staff came To the front desk and initiated a “training session” with the desk clerk, which resulted in another 15 minutes of delay. Finally after nearly an hour, the Holiday inn Corporate customer service number was able to get us checked into our room. The customer service staff made my family feel as if she was being rude to us and preventing us from gaining access to our room due to the color of our skin. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone, which is sad, because the hotel is newly constructed and has the potential to be a great convenient place to stay near Charlottesville.

My recent stay at the Holiday Inn was quite disappointing due to an issue with my room reservation. I had specifically booked and paid for a King Room with a Sofa Bed, as advertised on Hotels.com. However, upon check-in, I was given a standard King Room without a sofa bed. This significantly diminished the value of my booking and was not the accommodation I had paid for. The hotel staff did not offer a solution or compensation for this discrepancy. I was very dissatisfied with this experience. The hotel is next to the highway so if your room is close to it, you can hear a bit of the road. It’s not very noisy but if you are sensitive to noise, it could be bothersome. Overall clean, welcoming, well located hotel.

We stayed here on a 1 day skiing trip to Wintergreen. It is convenient to the highway and there are restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only issue is the water restriction on the shower was extreme: it meant spending more time and using just as much water while not really enjoying the 5 minute respite i usually take.

Overnight stay. Nice hotel. Proximity to the highway was good for driving but bad for sleeping. Rooms were clean. Bed was appropriately soft/hard for a good night sleep. Breakfast was OK. Value was OK. Recommended for a stay in this area.

Location is great, complimentary breakfast is really good and the heated pool is very nice. I can’t say enough good things about the facility itself, very nice. The only downside I can say is that the floors/ceiling are fairly “thin” and not noise proof. Between someone above us apparently running laps and them having a dog also it was not a peaceful stay at all. I did make the front desk person aware and they assured me they would address this with those above us. That worked for the majority of the day but then the “track meet” resumed just before bed. I would consider staying there again but only if I could be guaranteed a top floor room.

I gave 3 star’s because this is a new property and they just had quite a few bugs to work out. The hotel is very clean and new, the room spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was one of the reason for the three stars. They seemed to be out of everything. The first morning there was boiled eggs and potatoes with bread for toasting. We ended up going to Cracker Barrel. The second morning was some better, but things were not being replenished. The third morning I finally got to have some bacon with my eggs. There was yogurt and cinnamon rolls, but the orange juice was empty. The scanner on the tv did not work, so we couldn’t cast movies to the tv. Our keys had to be rescanned every day. I think once they work out the kinks, this will be a great place to stay. I will stay here again, hopefully when things are sorted out.

The front desk staff was very helpful when our first room smelled foul. They reassigned us to a new room of which was great. The breakfast was not the best. The pancake maker was broken and no cinnamon rolls were made. The oatmeal our first morning was watery and uncooked. There was no unflavored cream for the coffee so everyone had to use milk. The fruit was very poor quality and on our second morning they had scrambled eggs that had a green hue to them and had run out of hard boiled eggs. It was unfortunate as it is a new property.

Nice fresh, fun look to the decor; good toiletries installed in the bathrooms (rather than small toiletries), comfortable beds and pillows with cases embroidered “firm” or “soft”. The breakfast options were better than many hotels, so we appreciated that convenience before heading out early to get our hiker on the trail.

The only thing good about this place was the person behind the desk. They were polite and helpful when we checked in. The room was muggy and not clean feeling. The fridge didn’t work. Breakfast was the worst. They had no coffee creamer, the eggs were powder, everything else looked rough. The pool had a bunch of teenagers that wouldn’t allow anyone else in. Not a bad place to just stay if you have to, but don’t expect more than that.
