Very beautiful and truly an amazing location. Its basically a rather excellent room without much more (minimal amenities). Breakfast in the hotel is laughably expensive given what you get (infinitely better options all around so not a problem). Service is very nice and personal (not too many guests) but no one going out of their way to help or seriously attend to issues (such as our room not being made at 3 PM though we left the room already at 9 AM). Very expensive and ultimately underwhelming, but there are some clear strengths (design; room; location)

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed! The hotel is impeccably clean, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the breakfast in the beautiful restaurant and evening drinks in the bar. We do not have a bad thing to say about this hotel. Highly recommend for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

The 5-star treatment begins as soon as your booking is confirmed! The experience from beginning to end felt luxurious, and I can't wait to return! The cocktail bar and restaurant on site are exquisite and I'd recommend checking them out during a stay. Something I wish I had figured out (or even just asked about) sooner was using the Butler service line. The number I was provided seemed to be text-only, which is great for anyone who struggles with talking on the phone.

Unfortunately, first impressions weren’t great: there was no staff at the front door to even help open doors, let alone help with bags. There was no one at the check-in counter, but a bunch of people and bags crowding the front reception area. They were so slow to attend to people. Not at all a 5-star experience. Super irritating to spend nearly $2000/night for such poor service. The only reason a person pays that kind of money is because you can go anywhere for a room; you’re expecting the service to be over the top awesome. They also advertise services like offering spa services (facials mostly), and after I checked in and inquired about that because I saw it on their Amenities Offered sheet in the room, I got a call back from a rude employee telling me they don’t offer these services anymore (like it was my fault for even inquiring).

The rooms were beautiful and all aspects of the hotel and dining/ bar spaces were gorgeous and full of character. We enjoyed The Portrait Bar a couple of times and had such fun. We also had breakfast in the restaurant and a spectacular dinner at Cafe Carmellini. I wish I could remember our server’s name because she was top notch. I will go back to The Fifth Avenue Hotel. It was a wonderful experience.

5 star experience. Very clean hotel. Bed/ linens were comfortable and high end. Everything was controlled via iPad, super easy and efficient. Drinks/ snacks were free in the mini bar. Loved it here and had a great experience.

This is an astoundingly beautiful hotel. The decor and design is world class, and the staff only adds to the seamless experience. This is a solid 5 star stay in one of the most fun neighborhoods in NY, and it’s done with a lot of imagination and panache. Did I mention how comfortable the beds were?

This is how my new favorite hotel in NYC! What an incredible experience. The hotel is all about service, from check in to our Butler that attended to every detail. We were blown away by the elegant but comfortable interiors, gorgeous bathroom, and lovely spaces. But what really made the difference was the service. This hotel is 10/10 and should be the new go to for NYC stays!

It was terrible because on the day I was to check out. The backend staff charged my card almost $1000 as an incremental charge for "incidentals". That wasn't the end of it. I saw the charge and went to the front desk to ask what was up. The front desk staff said they had no idea what the charge was, the conclusion being it was a fraudulent charge. I called my card company reported the charge and canceled that card number. About 10 minutes later someone from the "backend" staff. Came out and told me it was a charge for incidentals that would be removed once I checked out, they put it on my card because "of how long my stay was". I was due to check out that morning... This was a major screw-up. I told the "back-end" guy I had already requested a new card because the front end staff had no idea about the charge. He said well can't you just call them back and tell them it was a mistake? Good grief!?! This very poorly trained staff!! Too bad the hotel itself is nice.

This is a world class hotel, and I mean that literally comparing it to the Rosewood in Hong Kong, Claridge’s in London, or Burgenstock in Lucerne. The staff feel like dear friends and every detail from the slippers to the welcome drinks are sensational. When you factor in the location, which allows you to move downtown or uptown with ease while surrounding you with entertainment and energy, this is very hard to beat.

I am frequent traveler to NYC and stayed in most of the top hotels in Manhattan. I can finally say that I discovered and found my favorite, most comfortable, beautiful, chic hotel - The Fifth Avenue Hotel. Can’t recommend enough, the whole experience was incredible. Amazing customer service, support, from every single person working in the hotel. Incredible food for breakfast, both the Portrait Bar and Cafe Carmellini are must go places. I truly can’t wait to go back. Thank you The Fifth Avenue hotel for being the star team and amazing discovery for all my upcoming trips.
