The stay was below the standard for the price. The card entry system failed and we couldn’t enter any rooms and go to sleep. The hotel was in disarray already but this failure to deliver the most basic service covered by the payment - access to a room for sleep - requires a compensation payment which Im asking for. The lone staff member didn’t appear to have a master key. The office phone rang incessantly with complaints from other guests. Other guests were left stranded with myself and my friend waiting for a resolution. We stood in the lobby (no chairs) from 1am to 2am. It took an hour to get a room. Then I could not leave it because the door would lock me out and no one could open it again, so it became a comfortable prison. Everything worked in the room until 2.40am when the lights fused and I had no lights for the remainder of my stay. Then became one of those people ringing downstairs and no one answering. Appalling.
