NH Collection Brussels Grand Sablon

Expected a four star hotel and this was more like a 2.5. The rooms were old and dated and you could see the wear and tear in them. Then while we were there 1) the parking garage was closed despite internet saying it was open (it was closed week before) 2) electrical issues and there were no lifts 3) no hot water due to the electrical issues. These were addressed that day but still left a very stale taste in the mount, particularly for the dated state of the rooms. Then be ware, common areas in the hotel are lacking as well and the bar is only open as tied to attached restaurant so if you are looking for a drink you may be out of luck.

Good variety of hot and cold breakfast choices that catered for carnivores to vegans and gluten free. Also had cakes and waffle maker. You were invited to ask if you couldn’t see what you wanted. Friendly, helpful staff. Gym was small but had weights, a running and cycling machine. Towels, water and fresh fruit was on offer here. It was mainly empty. Internet access was very good. Beds & pillows comfy. Decent power rain & hand shower over bath. Bathrobe and slippers included. Air conditioning was so quiet I had to double check it was working. Good sound proofing between rooms. Close to good dining options. 10 min comfortable walk downhill to central station or uphill metro/trams.

Hotel is well located and staff is friendly. It is not a five star hotel. Rooms are decent size. No insulation and a very thin door with light coming in from the gap (floor) in the door. The floor is fake wood in plastic!! The shower was partly broken. The tower rack heating did not work. Gym is tiny. Polyester pillows and duvets...super hot and unpleasant. No place to change after checkout except for the semi-public toilwt in lobby. Breakfast is very expensive at close to EUR 30 per person. You cannot get an espresso or a beer in the Lobby, which is poorly lit and boring!

I chose this hotel specifically because they advertised that they had valet and a private parking lot. I was alone and did not want to deal with finding parking or walking to a structure far away. When I arrived I was told their parking structure is under maintenance and they directed me to a parking structure that was an 11 minute walk away (they said 3 but that is not true at all). I commented to them that I chose their hotel specifically due to their advertisement of a private lot and they said “we do have a private lot, but it’s just under maintenance”. I noted that the message they sent to me from Expedia in prep for my check-in still advertised that they had a private lot. They should be honest in their offerings. This caused me stress that I did not want to deal with for my short stay.

Although car parking is listed as available, they did not have space for my estate

Parking rather difficult due to maintenance work and a very busy Saturday afternoon car parks full, hotel staff managed very well in helping to park

The location was perfect. We were driving and we needed a spot close to the city center that also had a parking garage. The valet parking was awesome and the staff at the NH was wonderful.

The service was averaged, the parking charge was simply outrageous $36.00 to park and not be able to easily access the car was not ok.

it is well located close to almost everything you need to see in Brussels. It is also close to major shopping area. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Few minutes walk to the nearest Metro Station. The Property is clean but not as excellent as other NH Collection we were before in other countries/cities. Our room is very quiet. Staff are very attentive and friendly. We highly recommend this property when you want to visit Brussels.

A great two night stay at this property. The staff were very friendly and professional and the rooms were quite spacious compared to other places I stayed at during my trip around Europe. The hotel is also well located (less than 10 mins taxi ride from Bruxelles Midi station and easily walkable to areas of interest like Grand Place) and in a safe neighbourhood. My only constructive feedback would be around the cleanliness of the room - for example, there was very obvious dark mould on the ceiling of the bathroom, but everything else was clean and well presented. Would stay here again if I were to revisit Brussels!

L'hôtel entier était impeccable. La chambre était très propre et d'un grand confort. Tous les lieux sont aérés, pensés pour le bien-être et le repos. Le personnel est très attentionné.

Great hotel although looks a bit tired. Cleaning service can be improved. One day the cleaner did not pass at all and the next day the room was cleaned late in the afternoon. Breakfast area lacks character - we did not opt for breakfast as so many options in the area.

Beautiful grounds, lobby and room. Our room faced a restaurant and street view so not mucg to see but the window was deep(like a 3 foot ledge) so I sat inside it and read my book. That was a nice feature. Beds were clean and comfy, the king was huge. Bathroom was nice to have shower and tub seperate.

Nice hotel in a good location. 10min walk from grand place , train station 8min walk away . Plenty of restaurant’s & bars nearby. As for the hotel the room was ok a little dated . It was a hot weekend and the aircon was very weak even set on minimum in the room, we did complain about but nothing got done. The bathroom was nice , main shower flow a bit on the weak side . Apart from that the service was friendly and good

If booking a suite know that they are in the front of the hotel and you hear street noise throughout the night. Rooms were great just the noise of the street was a bit loud

Hotel is fine, but overpriced. For example Breakfast is 27 EUR and the bacon was uncooked. The room was fairly small and with no view and I tiny tiny window at 300+ EUR.

Conveniently located, walking distance to everything in the center. Rooms were modern and clean, but it is very easy to hear other guests. We woke up at 2:30am from a loud stomping noise from upstairs room, which kept us awake until people in that room went to sleep.

Terribly small rooms, needs better planning. I had to keep curtains closed to avoid other guests looking into my room

Good location, walking distance to all the main areas, but still in a quiet area. Good service, and the breakfast had a nice selection. Only downside is that it is very noisy from the hallway and between the rooms. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Breakfast was fantastic and a great way to start the day. Every single staff member from the door man, to check in staff, to breakfast servers, to the housekeeping staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming and took care of you. If I’m back in Brussels I’ll be staying here.

Great service provided by Stefane in the front desk! Well located, 10-minute walk from Brussel Central Train Station. Nice neighbourhood close to restaurants and to the touristic area in the city centre. Great breakfast with a good variety of products. Comfy bed.

Location is good, surrounded by lots of cafes, yet quiet and not crowded. The room is spacious - including the bathroom, which has everything we need PLUS a very comfortable bed. Special mention on the staff - Charlie, who checked us in and out, super helpful. Kader - the concierge who helped us with our bag storage was also humorous and friendly. Highly recommended!

I had a really nice experience at this hotel, check in, check out, breakfast was staff was phenomenal. Front desk staff was also phenomenal. Unfortunately, my low service staff comes from an experience that I had with the restaurant concierge. He was an extremely rude man. I had came downstairs to get inquire about ice. And I decided to wait in the line for the front desk. But when he “concierge” walked past me. I said excuse me do you know where I redeem this mini bar coupon for a free drink. Since it states on there to come downstairs todo so. He rudely answered and said to ask the front desk. When I got to the front all my questions were answered but they said for ice please go to the restaurant and they will give it to you no problem. Well, it was a huge problem. I got lectured by the concierge about how is he suppose to give me ice without a cup or bucket. I just felt so unwelcome. Went back to the front desk and they went and got the ice for me. That experience overshadowed the good times for me.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the NH Collection Brussels Grand Sablon, and unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this hotel fell far short of our expectations. Check-in was TRASH! Staff was impersonal and unattentive. They seemed disinterested, providing minimal information and displaying a distinct lack of warmth. We had booked a junior suite, anticipating a pleasant view, but were instead assigned a room on the first floor that looked directly out onto the flagpoles. To say it was a "view" is an extreme overstatement; it was utterly dismal, especially for a two-night stay. Also the room needed maintenance! The staff's general demeanor was consistently off-putting throughout our stay. Instead of offering a welcoming greeting, they often simply stared, creating an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. This lack of basic courtesy was unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. Furthermore, our experience at the bar was equally disappointing. We ordered drinks, and not once were we offered water. And the drinks were bad. The bartenders did not engage with us, making us feel completely ignored. We chose not to order a second round due to the complete lack of interaction and hospitality. In summary, could've been better. Won't be back.

Checking in was a complete nightmare. The staff in the evening were definitely more helpful and knew what they were doing. The bellman during the day was honestly the best out of them all!!

Great location! 10-15 minute walk to center of town. Not super close to all the touristy areas and tourist traps, which I really enjoyed. It was quiet. Hotel was beautiful, clean. Breakfast is 27 euros, did not try it. But plenty of places to grab a bite near by. Would recommend

The location couldn’t be better

This hotel is in a very refined cultural area called the Sablon. It is on a hillside overlooking the city center. The royal palace is a short walk. The major art museums of Brussels are around the corner. All the streets and charming alleys , including the one visible from the hotel breakfast room, are lined with art galleries . They are many very good restaurants on these same streets, including Lola, just across from the hotel, and le 3ieme Acte (wonderful mussels and frites). Bozar, the major contemporary performing arts centre is nearby. The hotel breakfast buffet was excellent and copious. The room was large, bright and comfortable. The full bath was quite large. The desk staff was always helpful and very polite. Cristina and Nicola as well as the men at reception were outstanding. Transportation by trams was convenient for getting to some other areas. However, the long walk downhill to the center, Grand Place, was a bit tiring. The large crowds of tourists there were even more tiring. Our only experience with getting a was taxi was poorly handled by the doorman. The view of the lovely church of Notre Dame du Sablon from our room was a delight to wake up to.

Good hotel, located in quiet Sablon area, close to museums, antique shops and restaurants. 10 minute walk to Central station, 15 mins to Grand Place
