Parking is $30. Staff are very helpful. Amazing foyer. Yummy breakfast. Great last minute room deal. The room was very nice. It very hot outside and the air con was working overtime, and having trouble cooling the room so I am sure some guests would have found the room too warm. The shower had some mould in the tiles but otherwise was a great bathroom. Great location.

The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. My only small complaint was that the minibar wasn't restocked on Saturday. I'd taken a couple of drinks from the fridge and could really have done with replacements on Saturday night and Sunday morning! Otherwise, a very nice hotel, walkable to the National Museum and to the city, and the staff at reception were lovely.

QT is a revamped Rydges Eaglehawk. The rooms and modernised and comfortable although our bathroom was showing signs of mould in the shower (that really just needed to be cleaned properly), Dyson hairdryers in-room was a nice touch as hotel hair dryers are usually rubbish. We had a room right right next to the lifts which was VERY noisy - it sounded like the light rail was right outside the door. The underground carpark is super low (1.9~ metres absolutely maximum) and they don’t give you any notice of this upon check-in (nor is it well sign posted as you enter). The $35 per night charge is a bit rich for Canberra (Sydney pricing) but with the roadworks around the on street options were a bit limited close by. London Cct is chaos with all the infrastructure works to put in the light rail extension & this also affects pedestrian access. We were in town to go to the theatre and what should’ve taken 15min to walk was more like 25min. Would stay again at QT as the room rate was pretty good

Pros: The hotel was walking distance to the event we wanted to attend. The hotel was relatively close to the train station. Liked the 11/11 check in and checkout times. Cons: Hotel did not offer complimentary bottle water like other hotels we typically stay at. The room pay mini bar refrigerator did not work so I was not going to pay for warm beverages. The hotel during our 1 night stay was hosting a large event so all the hotel grill/bar/restaurant were closed to hotel guests. The bartender said there were no kitchens available for us. Also, we did not see any nearby restaurant. We needed a taxi or order a ride share to take is to a restaurant.

I stayed in the king room and informed staff that was with infant. Although the cot that provided was great, the rest of the room was not. while I understand hotels are not baby proofed, what I found in our room was shocking. A bag of malteasers had been split under the chair and on the balcony by previous guests and not cleaned up. I did not realize this until I noticed my baby choking on one. The second night I found 3 bottles of half emptied alcohol under the bed. also a risk

Common areas of the hotel are nice and clean but room definitely was not. There was mould on the walls and roof of the bathroom (makes sense since there was no fan) and bedding had stains. Very expensive for the level of quality, should have stayed at a dodgy motel for the same level of cleanliness and saved my $$$

Room 601 for memory. Pubic hairs left on shower floor. Bug bodies smashed on ceiling above bed. Curtains crushed. Food splattered across tv monitor from previous guest. Simply felt like the room hadn’t been cleaned properly before entry. Three dummy PowerPoints were really inconvenient too. Eager to check-out and move on.

Food service was too long and our food was nearly taken by someone else as there is no system in place to get to the right person. And found it appalling that I had to pay for parking after paying 800.00 for a 3 night stay, I would not stay there again and would not recommend to friends or family your service desk staff are obviously in the wrong jobs as no smile or greeting on arrival or departure. The showers are full of mould needs to be cleaned properly by cleaner.

We had a great staycation at QT CBR. The stand out for us was the hotel food both at the restaurant and room service. Fantastic and reasonable priced for both Canberra and a hotel. The crepes and curd was the highlight for breakfast! Bed was very comfortable. Rooms were good and it was great being able to have fresh air by opening the balcony door or window. Air conditioning was great. Staff were faultless, the best customer service and restaurant attendants we’ve experienced in hotels in Canberra. The only negative is the water pressure in the shower, it’s awful. Fix this and this is an amazing hotel ALL round but showering was tedious.

Great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Room and view perfect. Unfortunately we were put next to the lift and the noise it made going up and down all evening and then again at around 4am was not great. We were also put in a room with adjoining door ( thin as, no sound barrier) and could hear everything that the person next door was saying and doing. Not much rest was had. If you were after a peaceful relaxing stay it’s def not the place. If you can put up with a bit of noise then may be place for you.

after I booked the room online, I rang to see if I could get a room as high as I could. I was informed that I could get a room on the 8th floor. This was 2 weeks prior to check-in. when I arrived I was informed that my room was not available.... The room we had was dated. There was no proper ventilation in the bathroom and there was mold on the walls. the entrance to the bathroom had a slight rise which could catch out the unknowing elderly.

Was let down by QT Canberra. The room itself was mediocre. Bathroom was tiny and there was NO water pressure. I wasn’t able to wash my hair it was that bad! Sheets were dirty and had holes, the fitted sheet was also a flat sheet they laid across the mattress. Wifi was too slow to stream, so had to use phone data. Parking is $30 per day which is well overpriced for the area. Parking across the road (300m walk) is only $14 per day. Location is great, quick 5min walk to the main street. Lots of construction around the area, but didn’t hear it. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Nicely appointed, particularly the lobby, restaurant and bar. Ask for a room away from the lifts which are quite noisy- you can hear them shuttling up and down the lift cavity. The lower floors do smell like they may have been smoking floors in a previous life before the renovation. I also found the shower water pressure and temperature underwhelming. I expected greater things having stayed in QT in Newcastle and Sydney. The hotel was quiet affordable but just be prepared your experience in Canberra may not match other experiences at QT hotels.

I was disappointed with the standard of this hotel. The public areas on the ground floor were contemporary and funky, but that’s where it stopped. The rooms are very tired and the air conditioning system is ancient. The hotel needs some major $$$ spent on it

Spent a number of days at QT Canberra and overall very happy with the stay. Lovely staff and very helpful and created a lovely vibe, only downside was one or two in the dinning area seemed a little disinterested. The area around the hotel is nice and quiet but close enough to everything you need in Canberra and easy access to main routes. The room was very nice and spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. Only thing was a ramp/step outside the bathroom is a bit of a safety hazard, and some areas of skirtings/plugs could do with a clean. Did have a noisy neighbour next to use for a few nights and they slammed the door a lot, so just a note. But overall a nice quiet stay and comfortable so would happily recommend a stay here.

I was quite shocked at how run-down QT is now. We had actually booked a newer hotel closer to the airport, but since QT is closer to the city and I’d had a good experience staying there in the past, we ended up booking with QT instead. Check-in was a bit of a hassle, with only two staff at the front desk and three groups ahead of me, so it took ages to check in. We had a terrible sleep the first night because the bed was extremely saggy and soft. We should have called to swap rooms, but since it was late, we decided to stick with it. I raised the concern with the front desk the next day, and they were very helpful and changed our room after an inspection. Also another annoying thing is that it’s heavily understaffed I think, we tried to call after hour like 9pm (being told 24/7 desk) it took ages for someone to pick up, we had to call multiple times. On the day we left Canberra, we tried to buy some pastries from the lobby since we were hungry, but when we went to the café, we were told they never have any pastries… odd. Also, note there’s a lot of construction going on around the area. Overall, while the staff was helpful I will not stay at QT again. It’s nowhere near being a 4 star hotel.

Called prior to request early check in although as accommodation was completely booked this was unavailable. Staff advised to call an hour prior to regular check in time to ask again. After contacting the second time we were advised check in was still unavailable although room would be ready at regular check in - 2pm. Upon arrival at 2pm we were advised room would be a further ten minutes and given one free drink voucher to share between the three people whom had booked and paid for accommodation. We proceeded to wait until 2:45pm for advice our room was ready.

Front desk staff were friendly, restaurant staff were polite but not warm or overly welcoming. The room was comfortable however the dooner cover kept seperating from the dooner, the bathroom exhaust fan didn't seem to cope with steam, the bathroom door did not close properly which meant my toddler could push open the door. Overall I would stay at QT Canberra again if there was a discount. The room was comfortable, and close to the city. The parking was expensive.

Checked into the QT Canberra for 4 days on a Monday. I will get the Pros out of the way first. The staff in the kitchen and dining room were excellent. Food was also excellent and the Eggs Benedict was probably the best I have ever had but sadly it went downhill from there. When we got out of the lift on our floor we saw that the floor was not vacuumed and was not vacuumed for the 4 days we were there. One morning we returned to your room and there was only two towels. We rang housekeeping, no answer, we rang Concierge, no answer, so we rang Reception , again no answer. I then went down to reception to complain but I had to wait in line as the 1 receptionist was busy. When he saw there was a lineup he went out the back to get another receptionist. A male came out and started doing his job. When I was eventually served I told him the problem especially about the phone calls, he advised that they were busy. I told him that the only person that was busy when I came down was the receptionist dealing with a guest. Not happy. Housekeeping eventually came to our room with sheets, not what we were after. We got the towels eventually. The next morning no hot water throughout the hotel, so a cold shower. No apology or explanation from the hotel. A terrible stay, won’t be back.

Great location, walking distance to Floriade, city dining precinct, and the National Museum of Australia. Room was spacious and well appointed. Beds were a bit too soft but comfortable. We like QT hotels & this one is convenient to ANU. Nice rooms. Clean. Helpful staff. But…. I’ve stayed there twice in the past year & both times the construction noise level is ridiculous —-right outside the window Mon-Sat. Nice bar but I really wish there was a quiet space you could byo wine & snacks & chat with other guests/friends staying the same nights (without the beef for perching on the end of their bed!). I did try the level 15 ‘lounge’ but was told very directly by a staff member that is not public access - functions only. I thought I was imagining it but confirmed it with others: there is quite a weird & unpleasant smell at the receotion counter at times.

Check-in was easy. Room was clean and tidy. Just average hotel room... a little disappointing as you'd expect a "boutique" style room. The shower was great and heating worked well in room. Breakfast was average. Meals took too long and coffee was nothing great for the price. I'd suggest more staff on in the restaurant when the hotel is busy perhaps? An hour wait is not a good look. Also, I had the option of buffet breakfast on booking for an extra fee, except the hotel has no breakfast buffet! Glad I did not choose the option! Lobby area on Saturday mid morning was still sticky and not attended too from the previous night. Did I enjoy my stay? No would I stay here again? Absolutely Not. I am hoping there are better options available next time.
