Great hotel - good family room at a great price. It's a huge hotel - a long walk between room ane elevator, make sure you don't forget anything on your way out ha ha! We'd like to go back when the restaurant is open - that would have made it even better. The car park is soooo confusing with so many different lifts, but you will eventually get the hang of it. Easy walk to Belconnen mall and easy walk to the beautiful lake Ginninderra walking path.

Not great views, however the hotel was amazing for our overnight stay. Really wanted to stay another night just for the 24 hour gym and 5th storey spa, pool and sauna. Spa, pool and sauna all close at 10pm and reopen at 6am. Our room was beautiful and beds were comfortable but the lounge was extremely hard and not good to relax after all day walking around. Please note Woolworths out the front of the hotel closes early and restaurants and clubs surrounding all close by 8-9pm.

The place itself is nice; the staff were good and polite. I just felt my request for an early check-in was answered by a generic, robotic response and never followed up, and my request for a late check-out was ignored entirely. It made me scramble to change my plans, and my friend ended up staying elsewhere because they were extremely tired and needed rest. Anyway, the place was clean, and the decor is nice. The outdoor spa and sauna are shared with residents of the surrounding towers, which is not advertised and meant I ended up not using them at all in the evening because there were too many people. Early in the afternoon, I used them quickly, but at night the sauna and spa were always full, so I gave up. Oh, and there were many dogs on my floor. The Q&A here says they are restricted to level 6 or something; well, I was on level 4 and saw more than three different dogs with people on my floor and heard them barking early in the morning, so that's not true either. I love dogs, but not in my hotel room. However, the room didn't smell like animals and was very clean. I would stay again, just FYI, but not if animals are on the same floor as me. I would have given 5 stars had I felt more looked after regarding the early check-in and late check-out, which I mentioned I would have paid extra for. I had to leave at 6:30 a.m. instead because my requests weren't fulfilled or were ignored. Thanks.

The hotel was good overall but the loung was filthy which made us concerned aboit the carpet which was dark brown. Some things were stsrting yo look worn. The elevator was very slow.

Room was nice, modern, in room amenities stylish. Bathroom bit impractical with shower wetting everywhere. Hung towels up to save w as yet, but they were changed anyway. Milk not replenished, only give two sachet of coffee, easy to get more, but shouldn’t have too Hallway carpets very stained and outdated Staff nice and helpful

Room was clean & comfortable. Disappointed that no one told me we would not have our rooms made up or clean towels, after 3rd night I asked for clean towels, bathroom had no windows to help dry them, we stayed 4 nights, rubbish had not been taken & after 4 days it builds up. When you pay good money for a break away you would expect a few luxuries.

The drain the shower is inadequate as the water ends up flowing into the rest if the bathroom making it dangerous to walk on the tiles. The toilet seat was left up making me wonder if it had been clean. There was an access card left on the light fixture. Again making me assume the room had not been cleaned properly

Our stay was extremely comfortable, however, the first time we requested room cleaning, it was not received. Though it might have been because of the fact that we did not hang the sign on the door, I felt that it was worth mentioning. Otherwise, the room was very clean and enjoyable.

As a whole the room was run of the mill abode which was good. The hallways of the floor has rubbish bags sitting outside room (assuming long term stays?) that seemed to be there for over a day. The Air conditioning in the room was not useable as it smelt as if something had died in it. The actual room was tidy, bed was comfortable, all was provided.

8min drive to Insitute of Sport. Carpark is confusing to get the correct lift to apartment but once you know it gets easier. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room only had single chairs, perhaps a couch would be a better option

The hotel was great - the room not so in terms of location to an underground car park and entry to the area. All night all you could hear was the tyres of cars going over speed bumps. Worst night sleep I’ve had. Don’t get a room towards the entrance of Grazier avenue.

Fabulous apartment hotel in a beautiful location a short walk from the lake in Belconnen. The kitchenette and washer-dryer in the room were great for a full week work trip. The bed was super comfy.

As always, The Abode Belconnen delivers value for money with a “no fuss” attitude, you get great value for money, and a high standard of service and reliable, well presented accommodation. No surprises, just like the others abode hotels I have stayed at. Oh yes !! Except for the cleaning staff here this morning and Twice at Woden ( last year) who have walked in with no knock , no tentative hello , and 3 times have found me looking like a startled animal in car headlights.. all 3 times naked .. maybe I am a species that is not marked off in their “must spot list “ or management could drum home the point that they are to be quite sure that they are not intruding on a late middle aged male guest who could squeal, have a heart attack or defend himself from the threat of being seen squealing, heart attacking or generally looking like nude startled fauna!!

Our stay was very brief but the room was exceptionally clean and had a very pleasant fragrance. It was a very cute compact apartment and well thought out. The bed and pillow were so comfortable. The staff on check in were very friendly and helpful and gave clear directions about parking. The location seemed great although we didn’t get a chance to explore. I’d definitely stay there again.

Victoria on reception is very nice. I had a little incident where a neighbouring guest had bought a dog that was very distressed alone in the apartment. Despite her trying to contact the owner and them stating they were going to be home soon, they were not and the noise went on. Victoria was very accommodating with moving me. The second room was of the same standard as the first showing the upkeep on these apartments is very good. The area is a little strange - but Canberra is as a whole to me. The Woolworths Metro across the road is very convenient, and the Beef Cheeks at No10 Restaurant were amazing. I travel for work regularly and will be back.

Great stay in Belconnen! The room was comfortable and super clean with a helpful kitchenette. The restaurant downstairs in the hotel was fabulous! I would very gladly eat there again. Staff in both the hotel and restaurant were delightful and helpful.

The reservation team were messy. They called me 4 times. I extended my stay two days in advance payed everything but they kept hounding me because they hadn’t updated the system. The cleaning team kocked on my door twice it was just disruptive. When i let it go. I found out they called my friends that i had booked with to report that i hadn’t left the room. For someone who had paid and organised everything it was a disgrace to be treated like a thief for that reason i don’t recommend . It was a bad experience

Parking is a nightmare, perhaps some painted color lines would be helpful. Reception were not at all helpful and gave us no instructions as to the lift access. Thanks to some other guests who were very helpful in guiding us to hotel entry and were just as confused as we were.

Good spot in Belconnen, Woolworths Metro right outside the door. Good parking. Nice and reasonably affordable restaurant menu. Out of the centre of Canberra in Belconnen but we knew that and everywhere is less than 20 minutes by car anyway.

Location was handy to Canberra road network, close to Lake and walking tracks and Westfield. Good options for dining nearby and in house restaurant was good. Parking is extra per night @15.00. Staff pleasant approach. Not much greenery at the site more concrete paths and roadways other than natural verges.

I liked that the hotel was clean and modern, in close proximity to a Woolies metro, and has a relaxing, quiet atmosphere about it. Also, there is a cute cafe close by called Society Coffee. Although this hotel is not directly in the CBD it is only a 12ish minute drive, so is perfectly fine for those with a car. Overall we had a very pleasant stay!

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the Brekky rolls and coffee in the adjoining cafe/bar. Also good dining options are nearby. Very handy to supermarket as well.

Liked the property as with all Abode properties. A little disappointed that the room service at the Belconnen property finished at 8:30pm when listed as 9:00pm on the in room menu.

Apart from the quality establishment in excellent condition, it was the efficiency and friendliness of the staff that will bring us back to this place. [The on-site restaurant with deliciously cooked food cannot be ignored.]
