Walking distance to town. Pool is small & partially covered. Rooms are clean. Has safe & refrigerator. Breakfast included & is a small buffet where they serve you. You have to wait for someone to get the food for you which got old. 2 people are needed to serve the food & usually they had 1 person. Beach towels available & Free Pass for San Francisco Beach-see front desk. 7-11 store under hotel which comes in handy. Overall a clean & safe place to stay.

I liked that the room had a fridge that I discovered on my own. I liked that the room has a safe, even if it did not work. I did not like that the hotel did not have a parking lot. I had to play Russian roulette in an attempt to find nearby street parking. The escalators going down never worked. The bathroom ceiling had black mold and was leaking water near the light fixtures. The night prior to my check out the room started to stink like mildew. The bed was not real comfortable. Constantly being harassed by people on the street trying get a buck became a bit irritating.

Very clean hotel with very nice room. I had an ocean view on the 5th floor. Breakfasts were great and the staff was super helpful. Absolutely recommend.

First the good. Clean, nice rooms. Great Breakfast buffet. Awesome location. Now, the not-so-good. The wifi was so weak as to be useless. The view that I had was of a parking garage and the patios of businesses. Finally, there are no fans in the room to dry scuba gear. I asked for one, but was told "I'll see if one is available." Apparently, there wasn't one available because I never received one.

We had a great stay at Casa Mexicana Cozumel and were especially impressed with the staff and service—everyone was friendly, helpful, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations with a wide assortment of choices, including several healthy options. The hotel’s common areas were definitely a highlight—the lobby, pool, and bar all offered comfortable spaces to relax and unwind. We also loved the location, which was super convenient for exploring the local scene. There were plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. While our hotel room was a a bit dated and tended to feel humid, we didn’t spend much time there, so it wasn’t a major issue for us. Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives, and we’d absolutely consider staying here again.

Great central location. An easy walk to almost everything. Large modern rooms with a great view Oceanside, worth the extra cost. Great breakfast buffet with eggs any way you want it and fresh fruit. Only negative was very poor wifi in the rooms and on the balcony. Extremely frustrating, otherwise a great place.

Breakfast, which was included was just ok, at best. If your room balcony bordered the center dining area on the second floor, sleeping in was only possible if you had earplugs. Barking dogs in the building as well as screaming children just reverberated throughout the center of the building. If peace and quiet is what you are looking for at this hotel, I’d look at the rooms with the ending numbers of -09 through -20. Also be ready for banging and drilling from some sort of renovation work being done in this hotel after 8 am each week day.

Convenient to walk from ferry. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room spacious and clean. Bed very comfortable, air conditioning good. Shower pressure good and shower was hot. Quite noisey at times - other residents able to be heard running and yelling in hallways from my room. Loud construction noise for at least an hour one morning. Pool area lovely with nice vista. Breakfast OK, not many options for vegan but for a lot for everyone else. A long way from any good beaches or snorkelling. Close to plenty of delicious restaurants, atms, groceries if needed. Fridge in room is useful

Feels like home away from home. Always friendly, helpful staff especially Monica who went out of her way to help me with WiFi signal problem. House keeping does an amazing job. The breakfast buffet is very good with Elizabeth and Claudia doing a super job. Cynthia and Vicente keep the coffee flowing and later the margaritas at the bar. The location is close to just about everything and perfect for us.

Convenient central city location, easy walk to many restaurants, ferries, and shopping. The rate for this property was affordable and we used the savings for restaurants, snorkeling excursions, around the island, axe throwing lessons;-), and a day trip to Chichen Itza... The pool is small, warm, clean, and shaded. The breakfast and staff made us feel at home. Bravo.

From the moment we checked in, the staff was warm and inviting. Provided us with some delicious fresh drinks and cooling mint towels. The rooms were beautiful and everything was clean. The view was incredible, the location was ideal and close to all the shops and restaurants. The breakfast set up had many options and was always delicious. We did not get a chance to enjoy the pool but the set up was great. Above everything else, we were there as a remembrance to our father and it was around Dia de los muertos. The hotel had set up an ofrenda. They allowed us to place a photo of our dad on their ofrenda so that we may celebrate his life. I will absolutely be coming back and recommending this hotel to anyone visiting.

WARNING The cleaning staff are very dishonest and will steal whatever they can! We had asked for a late checkout and had a Do Not Disturb sign on our door as we decided to take part of our luggage to our next hotel!! When we returned back to the room the cleaning staff went through bags that we had left, and helped themselves!! When we returned we confronted the staff and found our property on the cleaning cart!! Management was unhelpful, and offered zero help!!! Warning do not stay at this hotel!!!!

Perfect location. It is about a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal so you don't need a cab. Staff are wonderful. Will stay here every time we return to Cozumel, which will be often. Really loved the small soaking pool overlooking the ocean. And the breakfast was excellent.

Casa Mexicana has been my go-to place to stay for the past 6 years. Located right downtown, it's very convenient and there are a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby. There are always Taxis waiting just in front which makes it easy to go anywhere on the island. The staff at Casa Mexicana are all very friendly and do everything they can to make my stay comfortable. Rooms are very clean and the air conditioning is excellent in the rooms. I highly recommend Casa Mexicana to anyone wanting a clean, cool, convenient place to stay while on Coumel.

Conveniently located a few blocks from the town square and ferry port. The pool area overlooking the sea is a relaxing place to cool off. Very clean rooms and public areas, good breakfast, and helpful staff. It’s handy to have a 7-11 downstairs.
