The resort was great, staff great we unfortunately couldn't get parking which was the only downside. Great for kids

Great holiday destination for kids. Lifeguards should be provided in pools area as it is so busy that parents cannot necessarily watch their child continuously.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with the stay at Paradise Resort. We spent 7 days/6 nights. At reception we were not notified of the Waterpark closure due to “emergency works”, personally I felt this was deceptive in nature, this was to extend the entire duration of our stay. The waterpark closure lasted the entirety of our stay. Also, the main pool closed on the second day, which also remained closed for the duration of our stay. At the midpoint of our stay, we tried to book another resort but were unable to secure another facility in this time frame. It was a long way to travel, specifically to a children’s themed resort, to not be able to utilise the activities. Parking was initially compensated at the early pool/waterpark closure dates, further compensation was declined and has been required to be escalated through the booking provider.

Child drowned in pool but was luckily resuscitated by guest. No lifeguard, pool packed like sardines hard to supervise. Run down in Astro quarters view outside like 3rd world country. Couldn’t book skating as they double dip and let public book it.

Check in was great, I arrived at 10.00am and was able to check in straight away and get the excited kids to the pool. Food was OK, it was standard hotel food. Breakfast was continental with paid for hot extras, everything was served to you on tiny side plates which is quite annoying when you're with small children and you need to visit the counter multiple times. I suppose this was to keep waste to a minimum. Lunch and dinner was the same menu, you could eat at the pool or in the restaurant. The restaurant closed at 8.00pm which is very early for myself. There's no adult lounge or area to enjoy night drinks, a snack and a bit of music. By 9.00pm everything is more or less quiet and bedtime for most. Lots of activities for the kids to do during the day but most are paid extras. The walls are pretty thin in the rooms, you can hear next doors TV and almost everything from the hallway. But with that being said it's a family hotel and everything is quiet from 9pm onwards.

Unsure whether it was hotels.com fault or paradise resort but the water park and slides weren't open even though on hotels.com website it stated it was only the pool that was closed. The slides and pools are the main reason you would stay here. We were not informed of the closure of the waterpark until after we booked and paid for the room. Would not have spent nearly $500 for a night if we knew the waterpark would of been closed. The hotel did offer as a refund, but would take upto 10days to clear into bank. The hotel also offered some vouchers for the restaurant and free kids club but really was inadequate expecially when the main attraction is closed and we paid full price for the room.

Great waterpark facilities and outside activities for the kids but otherwise that’s where it stops. Our room was not serviced in 3 days, food was excessively expensive. paying $3 for sauce in a 20ml fold in half squeeze pack is unconscionable. Dinner times is utter chaos and app to order crashes at peak times making it impossible to order food. Probably is tired and very unkept/dirty. Ice skating roof covered in black mould. Ice skates old, worn, rusted and unsafe.

Great activities for the kids Breakfast buffet was nice Kids loved the water park Spa was nice Halloween train was unreal. Very kid friendly.... very noisy as full of kids, so if you have kids they will love it. Probably not a resort for kidless people as you may get annoyed, but awesome for families.

Rooms and all around are really run down, you pay for parking but then can’t get a park ?

My daughter had a good time in there. There are loads of entertainment for kids, 2 water parks, spa and swimming pool included in the price. Ice skating is paid. The issue we had since day 1 was cockroaches in the suite. We stayed in Cleo’s room area which had very old suites that needs renovation. After 2 complaints they move us to Dusty’s area room which it was a renovated area in the complex and then we were roaches free. Unfortunately this happened only in the last night.

Able to accommodate request for extra towels and car parking. However, would have gotten more stars if room cleaning service was better. Cups not entirely cleaned and floor not vacuumed.

The range of experiences for the children (waterparks, playground, daily activities etc.) was fantastic. The change rooms and bathrooms downstairs (LG level) were quite old but also not very clean. At one point every toilet in the women's bathroom was blocked/soiled so we chose not to use them and went upstairs. This was the only downside to our stay.

We found the staff to be amazing and helpful, the rooms appeared to be clean however, the first day the entrance to our room flooded from a leak in the bathroom so we had to pack up and move next door. The next mornimg our daughter had been savaged by bed mites so we had to vacate the room while it was stripped, hopefully fumigated and all bedding changed. We would return again but definately not stay in those particular rooms. Pink themed ones, i feel they arenin severe need of upgrading !!!

Clean room every day. Beautiful Pool area great for kids

Room was filthy and had no been cleaned. We were moved to another room which was worse than the first. Hotel smelt, old and outdated. Would not swim in the pool or use the facilities. Kids refused to stay there. Checked out after 1 night and was not refunded as they said we stayed 2 nights when we 100% did not. Hotel should be reported to the Health and Safety Department as it surely violates health and safety requirements. Very disappointed as it looks amazing online, not so much in real life.

This ‘resort’ is so run down it’s actually misleading calling it a resort. I don’t even know where to start. The rooms and hallways are in desperate need of a renovation. They stink of cigarette smoke and are just really musty like the carpet and curtains have never been replaced. Our room was located right at the front on the Gold Coast Highway, so was extremely noisy all night. We were booked to stay for 3 nights but checked out after 1. The pool area is tired, the water in the pool was milky. The short version: this place is revolting, don’t book here. We checked out 1 day into a 4 day stay.

Horrible. Steer away from this hotel if you love cleanliness. Corridors smell like wet month old socks. No concierge services. Room amenities are at least 30 year old simply refurbished. Plumbing issues. Soap comes out of gutters while taking shower. No exhaust in bathroom. Carpet with terrible stains. Worst resort I have seen ever.

The staff was friendly and welcoming however kids were runing up and down the corridor late at night, tv was blasting from our neighbours room till after 11pm, and the pool was definitely not clean. The cleaners who made our room did a sloppy job.

Better if self contained

The kids loved this place. It was very clean, staff were super helpful, and had amenities that made it easier for parents such as a sink in the kitchenette and a decent sized bar fridge with a proper freezer. The only downside was the walls were really thin and we could hear everything next door.

Rooms were extremely noisy. The “shared door” between the rooms is not insulated well enough. We had screaming babies and drunk people next door most nights and had terrible nights sleep. The hotel is dated and feels a bit dirty. The carpets etc down the halls need some love. Someone had dropped hot chips down the passage and I notice they were there for 2 days. Also should consider heating the larger pool for the winter months

Overall the resort was quite nice. Was easy to access all areas and was clean and tidy. Shower in our room was horrible had no pressure and the taps were loud when running in shower and sinks.

Great family holiday location with plenty of activities for the kids. Comfortable rooms but would have preferred a separate bedroom.

The room was brand new and clean and excellent. Except we didn’t come to stay in our room but to enjoy the resort. It was way too overcrowded and half the area including the hotel was a construction zone.

As a family of 6 (two under 5 and two pre teens) this place was great. Unfortunately we were put in the Astro building which i believe was the only one that hasnt been refubished yet so our room was quite run down. The fact there was only air conditioning in the bedroom was frustrating as it was very hot in the other room with one fan beside rhe TV - maybe a celing fan would work better. The kitchenette was poorly set out with the only plug above the sink so was quite dangerous trying to use toaster and jug while having them balance on the side of the sink. There was no chopping board, dish cloth/scrubber and the bowls were very small. I wasn't aware you had to take your own pool towels but we managed to make do as the room was serviced daily with fresh towels which was nice. The staff were very friendly and super helpful.

Was not informed we would be in the “old” wing. Room had no air conditioning in the main room and the plumbing pipes kept us up at night.

Had one of the newer rooms which was nice and always beautifully clean. All the staff were friendly. Kids enjoyed the pool and slides. Couple of additions would have been great - particularly proper block out curtains. The sunrise coming in at 4:45am with small children was a bit tough and food delivery to the room as a solo parent would have been really helpful too.

Rooms extremely outdated, and in dire need of renovating. Our bathroom taps were broken and the toilet cistern was constantly running. There’s no aircon in the hallways and the kids bedroom had no aircon either. The food is really expensive and low quality. The train wasn’t running and the experience just wasn’t what was advertised. Our son loved the pool areas and the playground but not worth paying so much to play and swim when we could do that elsewhere. Glad we’ve done it, but wouldn’t return.

Staff were so helpful and friendly.

From check in to check out, everything was perfect. The friendliest most helpful staff you could ever find in Australia. They all clearly love their jobs and want to be there. My sister and I stayed with my 4 year old niece. We have had the most wonderful 3 days. We will be back

All staff were amazing besides a bad experience in the kid’s hair salon which put a dampener on the end of our stay. Would be great if this kid’s resort also had a pool dress code as many women’s bathing suits extremely inappropriate to wear around children. Facilities great, room tidy and besides the bad experience all staff were so welcoming and accomodating. The entertainment team did a great job of making sure you were having fun with lots of activities for kids and adults alike. Would recommend this resort to others.

Booked two rooms for one night at $200 US dollars for each room. When we got there the staff put our group in two rooms that were worse than $50 motel rooms. After I complained to the Staff at the counter this si bit we were expecting and requested they need to give us decent rooms. The staff was arrogant and not helpful. Told us to contact Expedia since we booked thru them. Long story short the Manager unwillingly gave us the correct rooms that we had paid for. Overall, very disappointed with the quality of the staff members and customer service. Will never stay there again. Check out is so early at 10am, so basically you pay tons for f money to sleep for a few hours.

So incredibly happy with our recent stay — we had the best week! It’s the perfect place for kids, with great restaurants and the loveliest, most attentive staff. We’ll definitely be going back!

Staff at reception couldn’t find my booking initially. They couldn’t offer complimentary late check out but happy to offer shower room next to pool for us to use after our GC marathon. Very convenient to travel by light-rail to marathon starting area.

The front desk staff are hit and miss some are so friendly and helpful some not so much! Website says on thing I.e go book into things at front desk you go there and they send you to an iPad. Our room - main bed had no bedside table on one side. Second bedroom the cupboard doesn’t even open. Bathroom is so old and the taps have water scale built up the vanity has chunks missing and been knocked out, the shower is a shower and bath and just old and again not cleaned that great. Kids beds don’t get made they put a bottom sheet on and a folded blanket and a folded top sheet for you to do it yourself, I thought that was super strange. Buffet breakfast is abit silly we enquired before we even got there about paying for it but we wouldn’t be able to attend on a day (2 days before we left) they said they can cancel our check out day buffet booking and we’re not flexible AT ALL! In the end it worked out better for $10 extra we went to mantra for a hot buffet instead. Over all there has to be stricter rules regarding the inside kids play area, 10-12 year olds running up and down pushing younger kids while the parents just sat drinking in penguins restaurant not giving a care in the world. The vending machine prices were next level $4 for a can of Sunkist is outrageous. The food is pretty average for how much you are paying for it. The biggest peeve is the surcharges when you have no other way to pay ONLY card but get whacked every single time with a surcharge!

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just perfect for families and kids. It’s a one stop shop with constant entertainment.

A bit noisey in the morning if your room is close to entrance from delivery trucks. But we managed well. Overall the place is fantastic and if we ever in gold coast we will stay there again.

The resort is best for families. The water park is the star facility. My family enjoys the water park very much. There are other kids facilities which makes the resort to be the best for kids resort, according to my kids comments. On the other hands, it is close to Gold Coast Light Rail, which makes it very accessible to other GC locations. There is a bus stop just out side the main entrance for Sea World. If you do not drive and take public transport, it is very accessible.

Excellent place to stay! This is our second time staying at Paradise Resort and we will continue to stay with them every time we go back to the Gold Coast! Super convenient location, close to the beach, shopping and restaurants BUT you won’t need to leave the resort at all if you don’t want to, as they have everything you need in there! All day activities for the kids, restaurants, convenience store etc We can not fault it at all! Super recommended

We had a great time at paradise resort. Extremely child friendly, my children didn’t want to leave and loved the water slides. Food options available are great, loved Debs pizza. Breakfast was ok, no hot food, toast and cereals, pastries yoghurt etc however there is a menu available for ordering. Beds were comfortable. Only complaint is the lack of ventilation in the bathrooms, our fan didn’t work and they weren’t able to fix it. The rooms probably need a general update. Would stay again!

No need to even leave the resort . There is so much for the kids to do and more. We stayed in Dusty’s Deluxe Bunkhouse. It was newly renovated, clean and so spacious. Nice central location. It was VERY busy but that’s what you get in school holidays and it gave the place an awesome atmosphere. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Everything was good with the property. Good location and close to beach, tram, eateries etc. No issues.

The resort has lot for family to do and waking distance from surfers. Great spot

Great spot for kids under 12. The facilities are great for kids and there are activities that continually run during the holidays. There is no real swimming pool for adults, only 1 very small lagoon pool. The resort is cashless and requires you to use eftpos or credit card for every purchase but you will be charged a surcharge every time. Overall we had a great time, I wouldn’t call it a relaxing holiday for adults, but I would call it paradise for kids.

You can catch the bus outside the hotel straight to sea world and to surfers paradise shops. Walking distance to tram and surfers paradise shops

Great for younger kids and great location

There is hardly any parking, so you have to park on the street. It takes forever to find a park and apparently on the weekday you have to move your car every 3 hours. The food is overpriced and the breakfast isn’t a normal price for a breakfast- you have to pay for each item.

The entertainment for the children was exceptional. My youngest daughter has ADHD and she was involved in every single activity there was to do. As soon as she heard the mic she was out of that pool so fast waiting for the next game to start. Your staff are amazing. The pools and waterparks were so well managed to ensure safety. The cafe and drink service was amazing. Food amazing. Room amazing. We came here for cheer comps and only had my 2 daughters with me. We will be back with all the family next time.

Cleaners did an awesome job! Loved having the beds made every day. Staff very kind, helpful and considerate. Food prices extremely high and food quality was very sub-standard. One of the staff at Penguins restaurant got annoyed with us for ordering milkshakes twice. When i pulled him up on it he apologised. Overall a great stay and kids loved it.

Nice resort for kids, they will love it there however for adults that want to slow down and have a relaxing time, very limited options and food is way overpriced

The waterpark was great and the recently renovated room nice.That's about where it stops. Everything was so far overpriced it was ridiculous. We've stayed at the Hilton with cheaper (and higher quality f&b) prices. No room charge allowed for anything, which is super frustrating that they don't tell you this on check in. Not too many different dining options. We paid extra for breakfast buffet that should not be called a buffet! You can't even serve yourself like a regular buffet. Very limited options, but many many extras if you're willing to pay exorbitant prices.

The convenient store was very expensive and the buffet breakfast doesn't have alot of options overall good for the kids they love the kids club and the pool. The rooms could use a microwave
