We ended up getting there after dark but the directions were spot on and found the cabin immediately. It was clean and smelled so fresh. Everything you need in the kitchen, we never had to eat out. Beautiful night skies. Hot tub was clean and warm. We got to pet the horses, so friendly. I miss it already, we can’t wait to visit again. Next time for longer!

Our family really enjoyed our stay and especially loved the hot tub, BBQ and fire pit. The laundry, dishwasher and free WiFi were bonuses, since quite a few other local listings don't include those amenities. The location was great and very close to the Luray Caverns and Zoo. Very happy with the host and the property!

This is a quiet, secluded spot that's great for a getaway to unwind. Great internet connection and actual, working satellite TV were pleasant additions. Jackie was very communicative and helpful.

The cabin was clean and beautiful in a secluded area of the valley. The cabin felt very private but wasn’t too far away from any stores or attractions. I would suggest writing down any info you need to get into the cabin rather than relying on your phone before arriving as there is no service until you get on the WiFi! We loved the fire pit and the hot tub was clean and fun to stargaze in. Great stay, will definitely be booking again in the future!

This was a beautifully decorated cozy cabin tucked into the woods. The hot tub on the back deck was just what we were looking for. In addition the firepit in the back yard was a great way to take in all the stars and constilations. Think we may have even had sights of the Milky Way. We heard a Bard Owl from the back yard. The location was very close to the downtown area and all the parks. A great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The sofas were AMAZING, So comfortable for snuggling up watching movies, and football.

In addition the firepit in the back yard was a great way to take in all the stars and constilations. Think we may have even had sights of the Milky Way. We heard a Bard Owl from the back yard. The location was very close to the downtown area and all the parks. A great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The sofas were AMAZING, So comfortable for snuggling up watching movies, and football.

Practically perfect. The accessibility was perfect. Possibly one of the best stocked kitchen for my chef husband. Location to Luray perfect. Porch & swing great. Communication from host instant. The corn hole perfect for kids. To make it 7 star, dark towels for hot tub, maybe some mini shower wash & shampoo bits, compared to the well stocked kitchen. Consider an electric roof cover for hot tub on those hotter days. But this did not distract from a great stay.

Turtle Rock Cabin provided the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend escape. The cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms were much appreciated, and the large windows offered an impressive view. The night sky was stunning, and we took great pleasure in roasting s'mores by the fire pit while admiring the stars. We will certainly return.

This is by far one of our favorite Vrbo homes so far. Very clean and cozy! The furniture is fantastic and the mattresses are firm and supportive. We had almost everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our Thanks meal and the knives were wonderfully sharp! FYI for future guests: The listing says heat is from the electric fireplace so we brought extra blankets thinking the bedrooms would be cold, but there is central heat and the fireplace is just decorative as far as we could tell. We definitely hope to stay here again soon!

We had a great family time at this beautiful cabin. Our children loved it. Jackie was very friendly and easy to reach out. Bit away from skyline drive but close to Shenandoah River State Park. Everything was within the drive of 15-30 mins. The check out policy had almost everything to clean so we did clean as per checklist though VRBO charged 100 as cleaning fee. Rest all was amazing .

Our group really enjoyed our peaceful stay at the Turtle Rock cabin! Very clean and well-appointed, and a great jumping-off point for visiting Luray, exploring the Skyline Drive, and boating on the river.

This is nice place, great for quiet get away. (Amazing for birders) My one issue which is that after booking you are informed that you have to pay extra for towels and bed linens. This in my mind is insane. This is part of actual cost of staying somewhere that you don't know until you book. I had no trust in the experience after that and assumed would be dinged for costs on other things. This made the experience worse. I would take off 1 or 2 stars just for that. So heads up when booking

We were scheduled for a three night stay at Turtle Rock Cabin, unfortunately a family emergency cut it short. We were still able to enjoy all the cabin had to offer. Great location 15 minutes from town. Cabin is in incredible shape, one of the best built rental properties we’ve stayed in. Very clean inside and out. When we informed the owners that we had to check out early, we did not ask the owners for any assistance at all as our early departure was our choice. With that said once the owner was aware of our issue, they offered to help us out on a future rental if we’d like to return. This is not just excellent customer service, this is a masterful example on how we humans should treat one another. Thank God they’re are still good people in this world.

This place exceeded our expectations by far. It was immaculate and well stocked. The gorgeous cabin and yard were perfect for our weekend getaway! We got to have a nice relaxing fire out back and also got to watch a storm from the front porch swing! We went to Luray Ceverns and also Skyline drive. Our weekend was absolutely perfect!

The cabin had 3 large bedrooms. 2 downstairs and one in the loft. It still felt very cozy. Large living room with large floor to ceiling windows, and open to the kitchen. Sat back in the woods so it was very private. Hot tub on the back deck was great! Very relaxing after long days of sightseeing,shopping. Can't wait to go back.

This place is amazing. The property gives you privacy and is absolutely beautiful. There’s a small nature trail behind the house that our kids loved exploring. There’s a local bunny that comes to eat grass and a couple horses next door. They’re all calm and sweet. The stars at night are amazing out back. The cabin is beautiful and spacious.

We loved our stay. The large windows allow for great bird-watching. Very comfortable accommodations. The house feels like it is in the middle of nowhere (which I love) even though it is actually pretty close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc...The area in general is beautiful. The only thing I did not like (which the owner would have little, if any, control over) was that the road the house is on has a lot of potholes. Make sure you take your time going down that road.

We spent that odd week between Christmas and New Years where you never know what day of the week it is at Turtle Rock Cabin. It was relaxing and exactly what was needed. We played games, relaxed in the hot tub, and visited local sights. Unfortunately the weather was too wet for a fire and too cloudy for star gazing. Seeing a deer family moat mornings and visiting the horses next door made up for the poor weather. We had an issue with the TV and the host quickly resolved it. Seeing a deer family moat mornings and visiting the horses next door made up for the poor weather. We had an issue with the TV and the host quickly resolved it. This cabin was so cute and cozy! Jackie was amazingly communicative. The area is just beautiful with nature and privacy. The property and cabin itself is very well taken care of. Would definitely recommend for a weekend away.

The cabin was clean and beautiful in a secluded area of the valley. The cabin felt very private but wasn’t too far away from any stores or attractions. I would suggest writing down any info you need to get into the cabin rather than relying on your phone before arriving as there is no service until you get on the WiFi! We loved the fire pit and the hot tub was clean and fun to stargaze in. Great stay, will definitely be booking again in the future!

This was a beautifully decorated cozy cabin tucked into the woods. The hot tub on the back deck was just what we were looking for. In addition the firepit in the back yard was a great way to take in all the stars and constilations. Think we may have even had sights of the Milky Way. We heard a Bard Owl from the back yard. The location was very close to the downtown area and all the parks. A great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The sofas were AMAZING, So comfortable for snuggling up watching movies, and football.

Turtle Rock Cabin is the perfect place to stay. We loved the welcoming and peaceful surroundings. Throughout the early mornings and evenings, we would see cute little bunnies grazing in the yard. We spent our evenings sitting on the porch watching a beautiful horse gracefully prancing around the fenced in area which sat adjacent to the cabin. As history buffs, we spent our days touring the nearby historical sights. This cabin was definitely on the top of our list for the perfect get-away. We hope to return soon.

We loved our stay. The large windows allow for great bird-watching. Very comfortable accommodations. The house feels like it is in the middle of nowhere (which I love) even though it is actually pretty close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc...The area in general is beautiful. The only thing I did not like (which the owner would have little, if any, control over) was that the road the house is on has a lot of potholes. Make sure you take your time going down that road.

This is by far one of our favorite Vrbo homes so far. Very clean and cozy! The furniture is fantastic and the mattresses are firm and supportive. We had almost everything we needed in the kitchen to cook our Thanks meal and the knives were wonderfully sharp! FYI for future guests: The listing says heat is from the electric fireplace so we brought extra blankets thinking the bedrooms would be cold, but there is central heat and the fireplace is just decorative as far as we could tell. We definitely hope to stay here again soon!

We ended up getting there after dark but the directions were spot on and found the cabin immediately. It was clean and smelled so fresh. Everything you need in the kitchen, we never had to eat out. Beautiful night skies. Hot tub was clean and warm. We got to pet the horses, so friendly. I miss it already, we can’t wait to visit again. Next time for longer!

Our family really enjoyed our stay and especially loved the hot tub, BBQ and fire pit. The laundry, dishwasher and free WiFi were bonuses, since quite a few other local listings don't include those amenities. The location was great and very close to the Luray Caverns and Zoo. Very happy with the host and the property!

We loved staying at Turtle Rock Cabin so much. The property manager was an excellent communicator and everything we could possibly need was at the cabin. It was clean, welcoming and just what our family needed after two days of intense hiking. We would love to return one day!

Practically perfect. The accessibility was perfect. Possibly one of the best stocked kitchen for my chef husband. Location to Luray perfect. Porch & swing great. Communication from host instant. The corn hole perfect for kids. To make it 7 star, dark towels for hot tub, maybe some mini shower wash & shampoo bits, compared to the well stocked kitchen. Consider an electric roof cover for hot tub on those hotter days. But this did not distract from a great stay.

This place exceeded our expectations by far. It was immaculate and well stocked. The gorgeous cabin and yard were perfect for our weekend getaway! We got to have a nice relaxing fire out back and also got to watch a storm from the front porch swing! We went to Luray Ceverns and also Skyline drive. Our weekend was absolutely perfect!

This is a great house to get away. My husband and I came to visit the Shenandoah National Park. Luray Caverns are a must. There are places to eat dinner in the area and the kitchen is equipped to cook. Hot tub was fabulous and because there isn’t a lot of light pollution, you can see the Milky Way!!

Turtle Rock Cabin provided the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend escape. The cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms were much appreciated, and the large windows offered an impressive view. We found the listing completely as advertised and just like the reviews said. The cabin was perfect for our short family getaway, with lots of space for our young kids to run around safely. Almost everything we could have wanted was available for is in the cabin and there were a lot of thoughtful, convenient touches. Absolutely would go back and stay again.
