Excellent stay , lovely walks close by & also close for boat to Miyajima , rooms could do with refurbish but beautiful overall hotel , loved the location

We stayed here as we wanted to visit Miyajima island for a day trip. That worked really well and it was a good place to stay in Hiroshima and match with the island day trip. If you were not doing this, I do not know why you would stay here though. Room price was OK, but was very small, beds were hard and pillows uncomfortable. Breakfast was very expensive and so were all dining options except for the onsite okonomyaki (which was great). We had the top floor buffet the other night, which was OK, but the okonomyaki was probably actually better and 1/4 the price. Other reason we staid here was the pictures of the indoor pool, but this is actually a spa and is a paid extra per person. Checked later and saw that the description doesn't say indoor pool - so that was on us I guess...

The hotel is beautiful, and the room was very comfortable. I would probably stay here again. The hotel is the last/first stop on one of the bus lines, which made it convenient for sightseeing. The bus is only every 30-40 minutes though, so you have to time things out or wait for the next bus. The island has a nice walking path around it, which was a fun addition to staying at this hotel! We had two issues with staying at this hotel. The public baths cost 2000 yen per person, and are very strict about no tattoos. We were not able to use this amenity even with tattoo covers, unfortunately. The hotel has a laundry service but does NOT have on-site laundry machines to do your own laundry. We were able to take the bus/walk to a nearby laundromat, because the laundry service was pretty expensive.

Beautiful ocean view from our 18th floor room! Excellent service and delicious food! Free lounge snacks and alcohol too. Will return again, well worth it!
