The hotel has a super nice view, the breakfast is good but the room we stayed in ( 9th floor) was really old and the facilities like chairs and tables in the restaurant were old and used too. They charge you extra for the onsen and the pool (2000/3000 yen) and the pool is not open any more at the beginning of September.

The hotel was in a great location for visiting Miyajima. The buffet breakfast was nice and had a lot of variety. Having to pay extra to use the pool and gym was unfortunate. This is not common in other countries with similar hotels.

Hotel is superbe regarding the incredible views 360 degrees into the bay!! Amazing!!! The pool though is ridiculous.. 20 dollars a day for a tiny pool for kids .. no real swimming is possible ! That's ridiculous.. the room is lovely with a gorgeous view . Charging for the gym again very weird. The restaurant on the top floor. 23rd floor has a great buffet ... lovely food but every day the same and that's a little bit strange ...but I would definitely come back !!

Absolutely beautiful waterfront property. The ferry to Miyajima picks you from the back of the hotel. Unfortunately, the pool was closed during the month of June, which was regrettable as the weather was quite hot. The onsen is beautiful. The gym is clean and spacious with a sample of equipment . The breakfast buffet provided a large assortement of options. We opted for an upgrade to the executive level which offered us access to a lovely lounge with water front views available throughout different periods of the day. Service was lovely.

Exceptional hotel and staff. The hotel was chosen to host a G7 Summit in 2023 and I get why now. Very classy feeling here which is such a pleasure after a long day of exploring. Good gym with new equipment here but just know there is a charge for it, about $14 USD at time of writing. The free shuttle between Hiroshima Station was helpful. And getting into town to visit museums and downtown is a breeze since the hotel is the last stop of a common bus line in Hiroshima. Also, at one point I had lost my headphones case on a bus ride, and an amazing staff member called the bus drivers until one of them eventually found my case and next thing I knew it was back in my possession. I hope to stay here again one day.

We were slightly apprehensive of the distance of the hotel from the station and city centre however, we were so pleased to have booked this hotel. This hotel is at a beautiful location with wonderful seaside walks nearby. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite room which gave us ample space, a bath with a view and a beautiful room. The onsen was clean and well organised. The breakfast buffet provided multiple options of western and Japanese food. The staff were friendly and courteous. The boat to miyajima was extremely convenient as well as the bus from and to the station. This stay was by far one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

8/14-15で一泊しました。スタンダードツインルームで、海側の部屋確約(1人1,100円追加)で利用した感想です。利便性は…宇品港へは、広島バスがホテル前から出てるので、10分で広島港に行くことができ便利。広島駅にはホテルから無料シャトルバスが出ていました。ホテル周りには何もないけれど、時間に余裕ある旅行なら良いかなと思います。部屋は…古いホテルだから仕方ないとは思いますが、部屋は狭め、壁紙のしみが汚すぎでした。バスルームのタイルは古めかしく、バスタブの排水のところのサビ、排水が悪すぎるのはとても不愉快でした。ベッドは他の方も口コミされてましたが、マットがヘタっており、真ん中が凹んでいました。唯一、お部屋で良かったのは、窓が広くきれいに磨かれていたことです。施設には不満なことが多かったですが、スタッフの方たちの対応は良かったです。朝食は23階のパノラマビューのレストランで、景色を楽しみながら美味しくいただきました。また泊まりたいかと問われるとNOかな、ロビーは広くきれいで、レストランも素晴らしいので、お部屋との差が大きくて…。ランクを上げたお部屋ならまた印象が違ったのかとも思いました。

海沿いの静かな場所にあるホテルです。ロビーはとても広く開放感があり、イルミネーションがとても綺麗です。チェックインは、数名の方が並んでいた為時間がかかりましたご、対応はとても良かったです。朝が早い事を告げると、エクスプレスチェックアウトの説明をしてくれました。客室ですが、広さや設備自体は問題なく、窓からの眺めも海側の客室だった為とても良かったです。しかし１点気になったのは、カーペットのシミです。この点は、滞在していて非常に気になりました。安いビジネスホテルならまだしも、1泊それなりの価格のするホテルなのでシミ抜きはするべきだと思いました。シミ以外では満足度が高い分、シミはとても残念でした。瀬戸内の静かな海を眺めながら、静かなひと時を過ごすには良い場所だと思います。

Es kommt extrem darauf an, welches Zimmer man bekommt. Wir hatten am Anfang ein so schlechtes Zimmer, das es kaum zu glauben war. Die Wände nur weiß, aber abgenutzt von Kofferspuren etc. Der Fernseher war sehr klein. Die Betten bretthart. Ich hatte noch nie so schmerzen beim liegen. Die vorhänge lichtdurchlässig. Ab 6:30 Uhr war es tag hell im Zimmer. Dazu dauerhafter Lärm. Wir waren im 4. Stock und im 3. Stock sind einige Services, vermutlich laufen dort Maschinen, die dröhnen die ganzen Nacht. Nach zwei Nächten und mehreren Nachfragen haben wir dann ein anderes Zimmer bekommen. Angeblich genau die gleichen Betten. Es war aber alles viel besser: Die Wände hatten Tapeten und teilweise Holzverkleidung. Ein großer TV und endlich Ruhe. Die Betten sahen gleich aus, waren aber weicher. Ich hatte keine schmerzen mehr und die Vorhänge haben dann Licht abgehalten. Dies war im 12. Stock. Das Frühstück ist für westliche Bedürfnisse schlecht. Der Kaffee der schlechteste, den ich in Japan getrunken habe. Es gibt 2 Frühstücksrestaurants. Das eine bietet westliche Speisen, aber in Wirklichkeit ist 70% asiatisch. Trotzdem gibt es nicht einmal Sojamilch. Es ist schwer etwas zu normales zu finden, das schmeckt. Das Gym kostet extra. 2100 Yen also ca. 13 EUR. Es sieht neu aus, aber ist klein und der Preis dafür viel zu hoch. Es gibt einen gratis Shuttlebus zu Hiroshima Station das ist gut. Es gibt einen Fähranleger nach Miyajima. Tickets sind teuer, trotzdem ist es absolut zu empfehlen.

The property itself is nice, beautiful lobby, but the room was very dated and in desperate need of a facelift. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable that I opted to sleep on the couch instead. They may have other, nicer, renovated rooms that better match the lobby, I’m not sure.

The hotel itself is superb , well situated and has all the perks you would expect from a hotel in this category. The view from the rooms and restaurants is breathtaking… The big problem is the rooms. While they are quite comfy , the bathroom is very small and unpractical. Much worse and my main concern with this hotel is the nonexistent soundproofing. You will hear every word of every conversations you room neighbors are having , and so will they in reverse… This alone tarnishes the experience , especially if you plan on staying a few nights there…

Very nice hotel, slightly far away from the city Center, but with a beautiful quiet location and amazing vistas especially at sunset. It’s rather pricey and dinning nearby is limited to hotel restaurants only, which were quite expensive. Nevertheless, we had a great 2-nights stay, in a spacious family room with great sea view, large bathroom with bathtub looking at the bay, very clean, comfortable beds, the room furniture was a little outdated. The hotel has direct boats to Miyajima which was very convenient for our planned 1-day trip to the island.

From check in to check out the staff was pleasant, welcoming, and hospitable. Our room was super spacious with lots of room to move around in addition to a large shower, separate tub, with an additional area with sink mirror and stool. Beds were comfortable, however, my twin bed was softer and lower in the middle resulting in me always ending up in the middle. Top floors have restaurants with excellent views and slightly inflated prices for drinks. There is a sea wall surrounding most of the property that allows for a safe and tranquil stroll along the bay. The free shuttle to and from Hiroshima Station is beneficial and convenient as the hotel is located at the end of a small peninsula which means you need to walk at least 20 mins to get to the edge if the city, main streets, or trains. We really enjoyed our two night stay with the room size being the biggest plus right along with the staff and their welcoming, helpful pleasant presence.

My husband booked our first night here directly through their website and got the Setouchi package - the room was VERY nice and updated. We then left for one night to stay on a nearby island and then came back for 2 more nights, where I booked a standard 3 bed room on Expedia. The standard room compared to the Setouchi was very MEH. It was NOT updated and had a stale cigarette smell. There looked to be mold on the bathroom ceiling, some carpet was coming up and the beds were like sleeping on boards, my back was so sore the next two mornings whereas the Setouchi room had a comfortable King bed. The property is beautiful, there is an oceanfront paved path from the hotel that goes along the coast, this was a beautiful walk at sunset. The pier on the property was very convenient for catching the boat to Miyajima Island. We ate at the Okonomiyaki restaurant which was very good and had drinks at the Sky Lounge where the drinks were weak and not filled up like we're used to. The staff were friendly, and they let us keep the majority of our luggage overnight while we did the one-night island trip.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima. The shuttle to and from the train station to the hotel was so convenient. The hotel is in a wonderful location and we got to appreciate the beauty of the area and the islands. Service was top notch and the food and beverages were just as good. We enjoyed the breakfast and what a variety! We even utilized the luggage service to forward our luggages to our next destination. Thank you for making our Hiroshima stay a very pleasant one.

Fantastic hotel and service. You will immediately feel the warmth of this place the moment you first step onto the property and greeted by the front concierge woman. The women that checked us in was absolutely perfect for this position. She was caring, spoke very good english, and even upgraded our room to a world class ocean view room. This was an amazing hotel with stunning views and staff that went above and beyond to help us. The free bus to Hiroshima station was very helpful and the jetty for the ferry to Miyajima Island were very convenient. Breakfast at the top of the hotel was fantastic. Dinner options are a little limited if you are wanting something light or not too expensive.

The Grand Prince Hotel is a beautiful property. The staff went above and beyond to assist us. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a lovely onsen and pool. The hotel is outside of Hiroshima downtown, about a 20 minute bus ride. The bus stop is right at the hotel front door. They offer a free shuttle service to and from the train station (needs to be booked in advance for arrival). They also have their own ferry which will take you to Miyajima Island, for a fee. I would highly recommend this property.

This hotel is 30 minutes away from the Hiroshima Memorial and the train station, the hotel provide free transportation from hotel to train station starting at 9:10 am. City buses are available too at a cost and not that frequent. If you take the street cart, there is a 1km walk to the property. If you are an early raiser this hotel is not for you due to the fact of the location. This hotel is located in an area with no other restaurants or shops; food prices are on the high side.

Absolutely superb hotel to stay in! Free shuttle from the train station and ferry to Miyajima straight outside the hotel. Spacious room, so comfortable. Best breakfast ever! G7 Summit had been held here in 2023. The price was brilliant...we had paid similar the past week in Japan for far less standards.

The Grand Prince is a gem! What luxury at affordable prices! My only complaint is about the hotel shuttle to and from the train station. The times are not convenient for travelers arriving in the early afternoon (1 pm) or leaving in the early morning (7 am). The shuttle bus doesn't start it's schedule until 9:30 am or so and then stops before starting again in the evening. The hotel is so far out and there's no convenience store around for quick breakfasts or late dinners. The restaurant/bakery onsite also has hours not helpful for early or late arrivals/departures.

We chose this hotel for what appeared to be good value for money with nice views out over the sea and the convenient port for going straight to Miyajima. We would NOT recommend it though. Although convenient for the port, the hotel is a long bus ride from the city centre (with no options to return in the evening after 9pm) and there are really no other restaurants in the close vicinity hence the hotel can charge high prices for its own restaurants. We did make use of the fast boat to Miyajima but note that the one-way trip is 2300 yen - worth it for a nice, scenic boat ride but if you take the train from Hiroshima to Miyjimaguchi and then the short ferry across from there, it is substantially cheaper (though a longer journey). Most disappointing was our room - tiny for three people with hardly room to move, nevermind store 3 cases, and with a serious need for renovation. The bathroom smelled really badly and was a simple bathtub with shower behind a nylon shower curtain. Not 4 star hotel quality. The water didn’t drain properly either. On the positive side, the views out over the water are fantastic. Breakfast options were limited for non-Japanese food and it was rather busy on both mornings we were there. We would recommend staying in the city centre.

The hotel was great! I paid for an upgrade for the Executive Lounge and that was the least to be desired. As an avid traveler the hotels offers a poor presentation of the Executive Lounge compared to other hotels in Asia. Staff in the lounge were adequate and was not as friendly. They were more attentive to work on the computer than they were to ensure that food was replenished and also to engage with guests, thanking them for their stay, etc. I arrived at 730pm to the lounge as I know they closed at 9pm. After a long day of touring I wanted to enjoy some snacks in the lounge. This did not happen! It took another 30 minutes before it was repleniished and not completely. Very poor for an $85 a night upgrade. If you ever go there do not do the upgrade....NOT WORTH IT!

The hotel offers a fantastic view on the bay. There are 3 restaurants, but none of them were appealing to us. There was nothing at walking distance. The breakfast was good, but we couldn't find good coffee. We were pleased with the staff, but many of them seem to be very stressed, and under a lot of pressure. I witnessed staff being reprimanded twice. The staff all spoke good English, and the hotel was clean, but it could use a bit of a refresh.

The Grand Prince Hiroshima is perfect if you want to visit both Hiroshima and Miyajama Island, as the ferry service departs from the hotel. It offers four restaurants with stunning views of the city and the staff are amazing! Highly recommend if you plan on visiting and want to feel a little removed from the main city, as it is nestled into Ujina Park which makes it feel like a resort.

The view in the room is excellent. Hotel size is huge but not cozy. The breakfast and buffet dinner were very disappointed. The food was not much to choose and the taste was average. There is walking distance restaurant nearby, the only choice of eating is hotel’s restaurant.

Fancy looking hotel and good value, but the onsite dining is very expensive. Breakfast is good if you include in room rate. Best to eat in town and then get bus to hotel. City bus is every 20-30 mins to hotel (21-2 line) which is easy for station , shops etc. last one is about 2030 so take care of that. Beach and seaside looks good but very polluted with polystyrene from fishing floats so not nice for swimming.

This was an amazing hotel with stunning views and staff that went above and beyond to help us. The free bus to Hiroshima station was very helpful and the jetty for the ferry to Miyajima Island were very convenient. Breakfast at the top of the hotel was fantastic. Dinner options are a little limited if you are wanting something light or not too expensive.

夕食は、ビュッフェでした。連泊したので、個別の一品を用意して頂きましたが、シェフのおすすめ料理も含めて、その他の料理は、ほぼ同じでした。連泊客がいることも考えて、せめてシェフのおすすめは、変化が欲しい。朝食は、ビュッフェと和食を選べ、それぞれいただきました。朝食ビュッフェは、楽しめましたが、和食は、提供が遅く、広いフロアに見合った人員配置をしていないため、提供が遅くなっているところに気付くのが、遅れて、より遅い提供となったと思われる。サービスのあり方を考え直した方がいいと感じた。
