Staffing a big issue, had to wait a while to check in. Long wait to order food and drink. Bar snacks overcooked. No draught bitter available. Dusty room and marked furniture. Loft door hanging down. Side lamp in bedroom flickered intermittenly. Ran the bath and couldn't turn hot tap off. Got my husband to come and turn off but even he struggled. By the time he turned it off water was full in the bath so had to wait for it to cool to let some water out. Spacious car park however littered with rubbish. Also random cars driving in at night for a few minutes then driving off.

Stayed here mainly for one night business trips probably totalling 30 nights now and staff are always friendly.. Mainly Excellent. Some rooms probably need a fresh paint but if you're not too bothered about this then time here is excellent. Parking is plentiful and the views are incredible. The food has always been excellent and the portions are huge.

Views from the car park / helipad / restaurant are amazing. The hotel decor is a little dated, but the rooms are clean and comfortable and the price was very good. Breakfast was also great. We have family nearby and will definitely stay here again.

We used to love this hotel buts its really in need of a refurbushment rooms very tatty especially around the sink and baths. It used to be a little gem of an hotel . Food is still really nice

Great people, really friendly and accommodating. Bedroom was a little jaded but clean and tidy. Internet was very inconsistent in the bedroom though. In other parts the reception was more stable. 1st rate food in the bar and for breakfast. Very quiet with great views over the hills. In general, just what was needed apart from Wi-Fi reception in the room

Friendly and helpful staff. A beautiful location, especially on a bright winter morning. The hotel is undergoing improvements. The areas they have done are excellent. The bedrooms were a bit tired, but they are being done in February, so they should be as good as the rest. Highly recommended, especially for the price.

The hotel room was rather shabby and the bathroom heater was boiling and couldn’t be adjusted, making the rest of the room very hot. The young male receptionist/duty manager was fabulous and brought in a fan to cool things down. He made our experience much better than it could have been. Nothing was too much trouble for him; he was helpful and interested and he went the extra mile. Bar has a leaking roof and car park partly filled with building rubble. One of the weekend female breakfast staff who served us (long greasy dark hair- not tied back and no uniform ) should be trained further on how to deal with customers. The breakfast on Sunday morning was limited and some of the food was burnt, which we reported. Overall, the hotel provided what we needed but sorry we won’t be staying there again.

Great night sleep but we woke up to heavy snow so we couldn’t get out of the car park but the staff were very helpful and after awhile we managed to get out and get home safely.

Had a good stay. Polite helpful staff but none were around for checking in. Great room let down by long list of minor faults the worst being non locking bathroom window and non working lights. Bed was comfortable and a great picture of a Hare above it. Pleased to see a bath as well as a shower. Fantastic views from all round. Lots of scaffolding around as roof being replaced, so it was noisy for people on top floor.

Have stayed here before, hotel has become rundown. Room was ok, bit dusty in areas. One bed was right up to radiator, therefore the long curtains couldnt be drawn unless tucked them up into windowsill. Beds were clean and comfy. Bathroom was clean, window in there very draughty. Lady on reception was lovely, very helpful. Ok for price paid (£56).

The room had stained carpet and a lingering smell of urine...you can guess what the stains were. The wallpaper was flaking off and the whole room was past it's best before date. The service however was good. The receptionists were very friendly. And the bed was clean and comfortable. Also the bathroom was clean with clean towels.

Booked 3 rooms in total for a 2 night stay. One room smelt of urine! The reception tried to clean the bathroom and put air freshener in but even they said they could still smell it and apologised. 2nd room had a chinese takeaway left in the room under the dressing table. The room had not been cleaned and so moved us into a different room which now was a twin bed as could not offer a double room as only the bottom floor of the hotel was open due to a new roof being fitted. Scaffolding all around the hotel. No one phoned me to inform me that the hotel was having repairs done to the roof and were we still happy to go?

Basic and overall view of the Hotel was very poor. Booked a deluxe room and have stayed in standard rooms which were far superior to this Hotel. Cleanliness of room and communal areas(hallway carpets stained and dirty and decor damaged.) Needed to go to reception to fresh towels as used ones not replaced during room replenish. Sad to say the hotel needs attention and their standards addressing! Will be contacting Hotel owners direct.

We have stayed at the hotel numerous times in the last decade, when in the UK. Always cozy, comfortable and clean. Great views! Josh, the General Manager, displays excellent customer service skills. He was very helpful and understanding of a request beyond our control; and always seemed upbeat. Night staff were also very friendly and kind. Cheers! Jonathan

The hotel is in a great part of the country with amazing views and near to the Motorway for easy travel. It is remote on the moors but in esay reach of major towns abd cities. Staff are friendly and very helpful and the breakfasts reallt top notch. The only draw back is the accommodation itself. We had a superior room but although comfortable and clean needed a thorough upgrade. Furniture is mismatched and quite old giving the room in needs of some tlc. Apart from that a really enjoyable stay.

Ive stayed here a number of times and have always been satisfied with the hotel. However this time i was disappointed. The hotel is on the moors so it can be windy. I accept that. But the windows in the bedroom and the bathroom dont fit properly allowing what was a cold wind in. The radiator didnt work and the room was very cold. The staff were polite and friendly. However, the room information said the restaurant closed at 7pm on Sunday but when i turned up at 6.35 i was told it had closed at 6.30, meaning, after a very long arduous day, i had to go out again to try to find a meal. This was the last thing i needed. A quite disappointing stay overall.

Good hotel in a good location, my only real gripe was that it was exceptionally noisy with people slamming doors and shouting outside our room until 3am. Also the TV could do with replacing and the bedside light does work in my room 22.All in all we'll more than likely stay again.

Room is tired but adequate. Waited 10 minutes for someone to come to reception to check us in. Food was appalling. Steak was tough, overcooked and tasteless. Onion rings were swimming in grease and the “grilled mushroom” was probably deep fried. Grilled tomato was mush.

A pleasant hotel on the top of the hills. The service was very good. One morning my breakfast was delayed due to a conference and I was given that on the house. The room looked a bit worn but pleasant and comfortable enough. My only criticism was the £100 damages deposit that they ask for upfront. I have never been to a hotel that asks for that.

Very friendly and helpful staff on arrival, beautiful sceneries all around the property and food in the bar of an evening was good and nice a quiet, peacful! Service at breakfast was a little slow but only one waitress but was still briefly and polite and again the food was good

We have stayed at the hotel numerous times in the last decade, when in the UK. Always cozy, comfortable and clean. Great views! Josh, the General Manager, displays excellent customer service skills. He was very helpful and understanding of a request beyond our control; and always seemed upbeat. Night staff were also very friendly and kind. Cheers! Jonathan

Ive stayed here a number of times and have always been satisfied with the hotel. However this time i was disappointed. The hotel is on the moors so it can be windy. I accept that. But the windows in the bedroom and the bathroom dont fit properly allowing what was a cold wind in. The radiator didnt work and the room was very cold. The staff were polite and friendly. However, the room information said the restaurant closed at 7pm on Sunday but when i turned up at 6.35 i was told it had closed at 6.30, meaning, after a very long arduous day, i had to go out again to try to find a meal. This was the last thing i needed. A quite disappointing stay overall.

When I arrived just after 11pm I was greeted with 2 unhappy guests that had luggage stolen from reception. The guy that was working was far from supportive which added further upset. This of course led to Police arriving. The room smelt damp and was extremely tired and worn. The bed was terrible with springs jabbing you in the back. The young male receptionist/duty manager was fabulous and brought in a fan to cool things down. He made our experience much better than it could have been. Nothing was too much trouble for him; he was helpful and interested and he went the extra mile. Bar has a leaking roof and car park partly filled with building rubble. One of the weekend female breakfast staff who served us (long greasy dark hair- not tied back and no uniform ) should be trained further on how to deal with customers. The breakfast on Sunday morning was limited and some of the food was burnt, which we reported. Overall, the hotel provided what we needed but sorry we won’t be staying there again.

Great night sleep but we woke up to heavy snow so we couldn’t get out of the car park but the staff were very helpful and after awhile we managed to get out and get home safely.

Stayed here mainly for one night business trips probably totalling 30 nights now and staff are always friendly.. Mainly Excellent. Some rooms probably need a fresh paint but if you're not too bothered about this then time here is excellent. Parking is plentiful and the views are incredible. The food has always been excellent and the portions are huge.

The hotel is in a great part of the country with amazing views and near to the Motorway for easy travel. It is remote on the moors but in esay reach of major towns abd cities. Staff are friendly and very helpful and the breakfasts reallt top notch. The only draw back is the accommodation itself. We had a superior room but although comfortable and clean needed a thorough upgrade. Furniture is mismatched and quite old giving the room in needs of some tlc. Apart from that a really enjoyable stay.

Views from the car park / helipad / restaurant are amazing. The hotel decor is a little dated, but the rooms are clean and comfortable and the price was very good. Breakfast was also great. We have family nearby and will definitely stay here again.

What a setting, on top of the pennines, views are amazing. The staff were great. I had the best hotel breakfast I've had this year, cooked to order promptly. Evening meal was a bit average and the menu somewhat unimaginative. Parts of the building are a bit tatty and could do with a facelift.

Our second time staying at the Pennine Manor Hotel and it always feels welcoming and friendly. The staff are polite, accommodating and attentive and the light bites on the food menu were lovely and filling. We were there for another presentation weekend which made the 5 hour drive worth it! Beautiful 360 views outside.

A comfortable and reasonably priced nights stay. It was clean and service was friendly. Parts felt quite dated such as the bar and the room... could do with a revamp. Nothing negative to say other than the mattress was lumpy and needs renewing. The food was really good in the bar!
