My wife and I came with our 5 year old son for our 10 year wedding anniversary from Ontario to spend time in the Catskills. Streamside was perfect for us. Ian was super communicative with information of things to do and places to eat before we got there so we could plan. He checked in on us while we were there and made sure we were comfortable. The swimming hole and the river itself was stunning. Our kid had a blast playing in it. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend streamside for anyone looking to get away from it all. We’ll be back for sure.

The property setting was beautiful, with a nice sitting area at the Streamside. The inside was a nice mix of cabin and retro vibes. Ian was very helpful with lots of local recommendations and accommodated an early check in. Very clean and well stocked! Although we didn’t use it, there was a nice wood burning stove complete with instructions for use.

My sister-in-law and I decided to have a girls weekend and this was the perfect place. We both love nature so we wanted to get immersed in it as much as possible. Being streamside was amazing! As soon as I arrived, I sat out by the stream listening to nature and reading a book for quite a while. I totally wasn't expecting 2 sets of chairs and a fire pit out by the stream so that was an awesome surprise. Then we either did a nightly dip or a morning cold plunge in the stream. I honestly wish I could do that every day! The house was a great little place and had all the things we need. Bring your own water to drink though. There is a tap for drinking water, but it's very slow. We met Ian and Sylvia one night while we were out on a creek walk and they were lovely! I couldn't have asked for friendlier people to host us. And I was so thankful that Ian gave me his cell number for any questions. Without his help, one of our days would've been a little more chaotic than we would've liked. We'd definitely like to come back again in the future. It was perfect!

Had me at babbling brook, which you can hear at night through the bedroom window. Add a great kitchen, open airy layout, and lovely host. The fire pit overlooking the stream. We didn’t want to leave.

I'd like to say BIG thank you to Ian! He is very friendly and attentive host! It was very comfortable to communicate with him and solve any encountered problems. Our young ones enjoy very much the trail to the creek and good viewing point at the end of it. Oh, and hummingbird, which we could watch right from the window!

Beautiful, peaceful place to stay with its own swimming hole! We enjoyed the freestanding fireplace stove, gardens, and stream. The owner was very responsive to texts if we had any questions. The space was comfortable, clean and well equipped for cooking meals so we didn’t have to eat out much.

This was accommodation which was just as adventised: clean, well equipped kitchen and bathroom with comfortable beds. Glad that we chose this place. Near to a couple of towns and many hiking trails. Sumptuous to stay in October with the fall foilage!

I can’t say enough nice things about this property and its lovely host. The property was very private and natural, allowing us the solitude we were looking for. A quick walk brought us to a beautiful stream, opening up to an even more beautiful view. The place was well kept, clean, and stocked appropriately. Our host provided suggestions on local attractions and dining options – all of which were appreciated – there were too many good suggestions to do them all, but the ones we did partake in were good. The town and surrounding area were quiet, friendly, and provided unexpected beauty everywhere we went. The property provided a great weekend – one that we’ll remember for a long time!

My adult daughter and I stayed for 4 nights. Ian was very friendly and responsive. The place is very comfortable, cozy and well stocked. What really made it for us was the location, right by the Stony Creek where we enjoyed many peaceful hours. We will go back. I can recommend it without hesitation!

A long awaited vacation to the Catskills, specifically the Phoenicia area, turned out to be just as we hoped. The cottage suited us perfectly. The host was helpful and great to deal with. The location is very special with a beautiful stream for us to sit by and relax and we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds every day. The bed was so comfortable and loved the water pressure in the shower. We didn't want to leave.

The property is a little way from the town but has all you need to self cater. It was a comfortable place to stay with the bonus of a little spot on the river where you can soak! * there was no AC (which was listed in description) so it was a little hot, that was the only drawback.

We had a great time staying in the Vrbo - it’s a beautiful home and wasn’t too difficult to find. We were only there for a weekend but the house had everything we needed. Would certainly recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in the Hudson Valley area. Only criticism I have is that the bed was slightly too firm for my preference. Other than that an awesome time!

I wish I could give this property more than five stars. The sound of the nearby stream lulling us to sleep at night was a dream come true. Everything was perfect except for a bit of trouble we had with our car halfway through our stay, but the host, Ian, absolutely went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out with that. He is truly an amazing host! Thank you, Ian!

Overall, we had a very positive experience. The listing was accurate, we had a blast enjoying the stream & the hikes all over. We appreciated the privacy we had on the property, but we could hear someone watching TV below us at night. This was no problem since my partner & I listen to white-noise to sleep, but is perhaps worth noting. Lastly, we are very appreciative of Ian for being so accommodating and supportive of our requests. I suggest that anyone looking to stay here reach out with questions, as Ian is a host that seems willing to work with you to make the stay as pleasant as possible!

A long awaited vacation to the Catskills, specifically the Phoenicia area, turned out to be just as we hoped. The cottage suited us perfectly. The host was helpful and great to deal with. The location is very special with a beautiful stream for us to sit by and relax and we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds every day. The bed was so comfortable and loved the water pressure in the shower. We didn't want to leave.

Nice stay over Memorial Day weekend, the owner was attentive and had good communication. The stay was lovely and very near a beautiful stream. The location is great for all sorts of Catskill activities

This was accommodation which was just as adventised: clean, well equipped kitchen and bathroom with comfortable beds. Glad that we chose this place. Near to a couple of towns and many hiking trails. Sumptuous to stay in October with the fall foilage!

property is absolutely beautiful, located just a few minutes from town and having back yard access to a stream was everything we wanted. Host was wonderful and would certainly book again!

I can’t say enough nice things about this property and its lovely host. The property was very private and natural, allowing us the solitude we were looking for. A quick walk brought us to a beautiful stream, opening up to an even more beautiful view. The place was well kept, clean, and stocked appropriately. Our host provided suggestions on local attractions and dining options – all of which were appreciated – there were too many good suggestions to do them all, but the ones we did partake in were good. The town and surrounding area were quiet, friendly, and provided unexpected beauty everywhere we went. The property provided a great weekend – one that we’ll remember for a long time!

Gorgeous location, absolutely loved hanging out by the creek! Near so many great things, such as Phoenicia Diner and Kaaterskill Falls. Ian was an excellent host and the house was lovely!
