It’s an economical hotel across the street from Kyoto Station so you have easy access to all the train lines. If you have breakfast included in your room rate, eat at the OMOFU roastery caffe in the basement instead of the buffet. Less choice but fresh made—the truffle scrambled eggs are terrific. The only complaint I have with the hotel-and this cost them a star-is the mattresses. They are more like futons with no springs or foam. My old bones couldn’t handle it and I barely slept. Considering that’s the whole reason for staying at a hotel, I should take more stars off, but if you like sleeping on a rock, you will be happy.

This place was great - amazing value. Great location, breakfast buffet, staff. One thing that would be VERY useful is if they provided a pillow-topper or something similar and left it in the closet to use. Japanese mattresses are HARD (a small step up from sleeping on the floor).

The location was great, right next to the station and there is a shopping mall next to it. However, the station is huge and most of main things are the other side, if easily takes 10 mins to walk to get to the other side. Hotel was clean, room was nice and spacious. Amenities were great. We enjoyed staying this hotel for 4 nights.
