Room was clean but very old decor. Access was a bit difficult, however I think it’s a good location in relation to the CBD.

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The room had a strong, unpleasant smell. There is a connecting door to the next room, and I could hear everything being said, which made it feel very intrusive. It also felt as though there are permanent tenants on-site, and cooking smells from neighbouring rooms were coming into mine and making the odour worse. The bathroom was not clean. There was mould on the mirror, and the exhaust fan cover looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, despite being easy to remove. The towels were brown rather than white, which is not something I would expect from a motel. Both the air-conditioning remote and TV remote were sticky and dirty and clearly had not been cleaned. The TV was also extremely limited, with no Channel 7, 9 or 10 available — only ABC and SBS. The dishes were dirty, the curtain was broken, the room is very dated, and the bed was uncomfortable. I was also concerned about safety. The emergency evacuation plan lists a fire meeting point directly next to gas bottles, which seems completely inappropriate and unsafe. The off-street car park is narrow and difficult to manoeuvre in. Parking was made more frustrating by visitors to what appear to be permanent tenants taking up the already limited spaces. Overall, I struggled to find any positives. The property feels tired, poorly maintained, and in need of significant renovation. For the price, there are far better accommodation options available in Launceston. This stay left a ve
