The idea of this hotel is fine, but there are just so many strange things you should know before staying here. The first is that reception is 200m down the street from the resort and where you will be staying. There is a small incline between the two. If you are staying in the tower, know that the steps are steep and narrow. Pack light. There isn't any assistance with getting you to the resort from reception. You either have to bring your own car or walk. Again, pack light. The room is really comfortable. There is a fridge, TV, couch, small table, and a comfortable bed. The wifi is present, but none of my devices could connect to it. There was a second option available and it was the same. The TV could connect to the internet on the first two days and nights, but not on the final night. Basically, make sure you have your hotspot available for your stay. The shower was warm enough and quite large. No bath, & low step into. The cold water handle fell off when I tried to use it. The shower pressure was fine until the end of the shower. Be prepared to take short showers. It was nice to stay within a few meters of all of the attractions, but they were only open during the day. It would have been nice to have them available for guests at night too. Brady's restaurant is not open on weekends. The other one is, but it is pricey. Be prepared and get your dinners in town. Not sure where to get breakfast there, since both restaurants are only open for lunch and dinner.

Such a great little place with great restaurant/pub close by. Laundry facilities were a lifesaver though you need coins. Great activities for the kids. We really wish we stayed here longer.

Good Location and definitely recommend it. A reception office near room 329 will be helpful. Otherwise, you may have to walk with your luggage about 100m or more after collecting your room key which feels a bit awkward.

I was told many good reviews on this establishment. Was really looking forward to a relaxing stay. Before I even arrived I received two text message wanting to know my exact check in time. I had also phoned after the first text to clarify. Front desk knew nothing of the surrounding and attached pub or restaurants. Stating, that’s not part of us so I don’t know, when asked where I could get dinner. I arrived to a poo in the toilet and the smell had seeped throughout the room. Front desk were not overly concerned. Electric tools used early morning. Bathroom sink had no drain cover and that quality echoed throughout. Could not help the fire alarm and recycling truck disruption, but it was icing on an already hard to enjoy cake.

We booked two rooms, same price. One was upstair, view was allright and it was a good size room. The second was much smaller, just a small windows. The second had coacroaches and something (snail's?) that left slime tracks on the carpet. The better room had a toilet that didnt work. All in all, nice location and nice people - but the rooms need a cleanup.

Great location with very handy parking. Bathroom is tiny but room reasonably generous. Our stay was spoiled somewhat by there being no noise insulation between us and the room next door through the interconnecting door. We shared tv from 7 am and snoring at night.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, comfortable beds. To make one's stay more comfortable, it would be great to have some drawer/cupboard space to unpack clothes. There were only a few hangers but no shelves to unpack clothes for those longer stays.

The room and bed was really nice. Only criticism is the noise transfer from the above room into the lower room. We were in a bottom room and could hear the kids jumping around in the room above us. I’d recommend staying in an upper room which I’m sure would be lovely all round. Great location with Cataract Gorge walk within 5 minutes and city centre 10 minutes walk.

Our room was outside a compressor that ran all night, very noisy. The highway was outside the window and windows double glassed but could not be opened. The aircon was noisy and made banging noises all night so the room was very stuffy. Wifi didn’t work and pub below was noisy. Not value for money at $195 a night.

The staff were very helpful. We arrived late, our keys were easily accessible in a safe box, but the receptionist who was about to leave stayed to help us take our bags up to our room. We were also offered late checkout and help with storing our cases. Every staff member was equally friendly.

The room was clean and good for our purpose. However, when we arrived late, we had already arranged for a key to be left in the safe at reception. We were given the code to open the safe, however when we did open it our envelope with the key was not there. It was late, it was raining and we had to wait about 15 minutes till I think it was the Asst Manager came and opened up reception where our envelope could be seen on the bench. We had to pick up family at the airport at 10.30 and we were settling down to sleep. One of us went outside to have a smoke and when he came back the lock was stuck inside it and we all had a go and trying to get it up. In the end we stuck it on the chain and since the door wouldn't close properly we had to lean a chair against it so no one would see it open. I just want to say that the Asst or Manager was very nice and did all he could to help us. With the door we didn't complain as it was 2am and we just wanted to sleep.

We were arriving after hours, Leanne gave me clear and helpful instructions to retrieve key from safety deposit box , and have the taxi wait to drive us the further 200 metres to our room. Since it was dark and pouring with rain on arrival, we really appreciated this information and easily found our room which was warm, comfortable , clean and spacious

Nice spot very unique building and rooms. Found it unusual that the reception staff weren’t knowledgeable about things to do in Launceston. When we enquired were told there are pamphlets over there, no recommendations

10minute walk into CBD, 5 minutes to city park and 2 minutes to Cataract Gorge. Stillwater restaurant was almost direct across the road Tried Alida and the Kings Bridge for dinner and happily recommend both.

Have stayed here multiple times. Friendly helpful staff. Restaurants on both sites, or you can walk/drive/taxi a few blocks around Launceston for many more options. Easy walking distance to Woolworths if you need any regular grocery purchase. The place is a little old but it's clean and functional.
