restaurant is a little average and the menu needs an overhaul, property and room getting a little worn and dated Parking is a joke, they rent out the parking space to the general public so good luck getting a spot even after you have paid for one. I will not return

Average hotel, quite dated. Bathroom was serviceable at best, but well worn. Shower had no water pressure - badly needs an upgrade. Room was a good size, bed comfy, overall it was just ok compared to other places with a similar price point. Beware of the car parking, it’s subject to availability… which I learned the hard way. It was not disclosed at checkin… figured they would only sell what they had… I was wrong, they sell them to anyone and if you miss out bad luck… had to argue for a refund of the parking fee which was ridiculous. I then had to find a park somewhere else which wasn’t easy in the CBD…

Great hotel in a great location given the price. It’s an older property that has been renovated. But given the price and location, it’s hard to beat. Comfy beds with a good selection of pillows. Only issue was the EV charger spots are regularly taken by non-EV cars, including cars belonging to staff. Having said that, we didn’t urgently need it.

The bathroom was not clean .. there was hair in the shower and also on the floor Seemed to have black mould in shower Thick dust on skirting boards Supplies were minimal .. had to ask for sugar and was only given 4 packets each time .. was given extra when mentioning that there were 2 of us in the room and that4 packets were not enough for evening as well as morning (always had to collect from reception)

It was ok in general but it was not that very clean. We had to slightly move the bed and it was very dirty. I wish they could do deep cleaning once in a while. Plus different staff at reception give different information, bit confusing.

The property is convenient to the centre of Launceston. However my room and my sister's room had issues. The bathroowm had mould on tiles and green mould on most of the shower head as well as pink tinged mould on shower curtain. My sister had no hot water in the basin, she was told by maintenance to turn on bath tap before turning on her basin-rather antiquated fix.

The hotel has a great location—close to everything, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the room was very dusty and had the musty feel and smell of an old building. My partner and I were sneezing constantly during our stay. We didn’t report it since we were out all day sightseeing and only came back to sleep, usually too tired to deal with the issue. We stayed for two nights, but based on the room condition, I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

Great place to stay, good location, great staff. The staff asked for my preference for housekeeping when I checked in and it was supposed to be every second day but that didn't happen at all. Also slow internet didnt allow casting etc on TV. Overall great, but not excellent.

The noise at night until 2.30 am each night was horrific. The local rev heads use the main street as a drag strip. The theatre next door had the roadies moving equipment until 4 am, and then the truck reversed back down the entrance road.

Reliable and you know what you’ll get. Unfortunately the walls do not insulate noise so you get a bit of noise from outside rooms. The rooms on one side also face a loud Theatre, so if you have an early start make sure you request the other side. Theatre always done by 11pm though.

To be honest ....... The rooms took me back to the 80's The rooms are very old . Furniture worn out , tiling in the bathroom is from the 60's . I would say brick walls between rooms and you can hear everything said next door and bathroom noises.

Checked in with a very unhelpful staff member. Called tor the minibar - took 3 attempts to get through, once did was asked to collect drinks from reception. Drinks collected and asked if the caps was screw top, told yes. It wasn’t called for a bottle opener and advised that it was in my room - it wasn’t 15 mins later unhappy staff member brought one to us. No face cloth in dated bathroom. Breakfast had to ask for additional sausages/bacon/beans and hash browns, cook very nice. Not a great experience and won’t staff again.

In general the accommodation is more or less good in terms of location, room space and cleanliness. However I did have a not so nice experience during checkin. I have got an email from the hotel offering me an upgrade to level 5 or 6 before my stay, which I have confirmed the acceptance via email. But when checked in the hotel on 27-09-2025, I was told by the reception that the offer and confirmation did not appear in their system and the upgrade was not validated. This has caused some chaos then. I have to stay in a room on level 3 to the end of my trip.

After staying at this hotel I won’t be returning the customer service was not what you’d expect from Best Western I think when ordering room service I was told that it was closed on a Sunday. This hotel needs to lift there game if they want to keep charging premium prices

We stay at the Best Western, Launceston when we are going to a show at the Princess Theatre next door. The bathroom is rather dated, but the shower is good. You need to specify a room with just a shower. They are on the top floor, level 6. Best thing is tge great breakfast! Everything available in a buffet, especially the pastries.

I found the room very clean. It is much harder to maintain cleanliness in older rooms than modern rooms. I would make sure I had a walk-in shower next time. The restaurant food was not great but all staff lovely.
