I have stayed at this hotel many times as it has an excellent Spa/Pool facility and is one of the best hotels in the area. But hotel is looking very tired now. Rooms seem dated and dark, mattresses was gone, and general cleanliness around the hotel could do with improvement. The changing rooms and showers in spa area could do with a good regular clean and scrub during the days. I felt that the £25 per hour late check out was a bit extortionate especially as other lesser hotels can give you and an hour or two complimentary subject to availability.

Very tired rooms I’m need of a refurb. Overpriced food. Additional costs for the Spa not communicated to us upon arrival. Felt the hotel was trying to maximise our spend for very average food, facilities and service. They can’t charge a premium rate for such tired rooms so therefore try to make us spend a lot on overpriced food and hidden spa access costs. Many of the showers were also not working in the spa. We won’t be back

The room was spacious and comfortable with patio doors straight to gardens made it easier for our dog to go out. The facility in the hotel was excellent, foods in the restaurant was great except the breakfast, not so good..sorry 😞 Spa & steam room was good but soooo busy as open for public members too.

Amazing hotel and spa but disappointed on checking out when i was charged £20 for using the spa. Apparently 3rd party sites charge £20. So i spent £130 on the room, £200 in the spa, £20 for early check-in and then an extra £20 because Hotels.com aant their cut. Pretty poor really

Loved the pool and jacuzzi area. This was the main reason for staying. Also the area by the pol where you could buy food including breakfast. Coffee was delicious. Had a great room overlooking golf course

Nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast and food in the restaurant was good and the facilities are very nice. I don’t agree with the extra charge to use the swimming pool though and feel this should be included in the room rate.

A wonderful hotel with a superb spa and beauty salon . The bar and restaurant are are both very spacious and the food is good ! The breakfast is excellent !

Very warm welcome from reception, room spacious and clean. Restaurant really focused on delivering good service. Dont be shy to let more personality come through via chat and smiles while in the restaurant, food fab quality. Breakfast good, eggs cooked well and quickly. Will most definitely return as value for money is great.

The room was spacious, however dirty and upon entry I found it smelled really bad, I learned the reason for this when I went in the bathroom. Additionally after the wedding I was attending I couldn’t renter my room, at first the key was replace and after this happened twice, the receptionist told me she would see what the problem was and return. I waited in the bar area until she said it was the battery for the electronic lock. I waited until it was fixed which was roughly between 1-2am. She offered to give me a free drink at the bar, but I wanted to go to bed so declined. The breakfast wasn’t great but note I am vegetarian.

Dust all over towel rails. Poor toilet flush system. Dirty remote control. Dead insects on the floor. Poor cleaniless in general. Rest of property such as bar area, breakfast and spa were clean. Agreed to do the eco room cleaning however did not get extra toiletries or towels and did not get the free bottle of wine at the end either. Poor service.

We had high expectations and that's probably where we went wrong. The staff on reception who greeted us were very miserable even though we'd driven for miles to get there. The man who checked us out though was pleasant. On the plus side the bed was extremely comfortable and the main living area was clean. Downside: The bath had hairs stuck in the plug, and the toilet footstool really needed a scrub. We weren't able to watch TV as there was no signal. We also couldn't use the internet in the room as the connection was so bad. We had booked in for dinner at 6.15pm but when we arrived they had no booking for us. Luckily the lady who looked after us was just lovely and if it wasn't for her I would have cried. My chicken dinner was dry and the carrots looked like they were bulk purchased frozen. We then decided to retire to the bar for a cocktail. We were told that there were no cocktails that evening due to no "shaker"! We ordered regular drinks. Half an hour later we saw the bar making cocktails! I asked the bar person ..are you making cocktails now, he said not for you.. I said who are those cocktails for and he replied for our VIP guests! I said would you not agree that every guest is VIP he then got embarrassed but still never made us a cocktail! What an insult! Shall never go back.

The hotel was first opened in the early 1990s and it is now a bit tired. On this basis, we felt it was a bit over priced for what you get. Having said that it was clean and the onsite bar and restaurant was very convenient. Dinner was good, but the buffet breakfast was a disappointment.

Considering the price paid it really lacked on basics. Check in was good and staff friendly however that all fell down when I entered the room. The tv turned on however no picture just sound. The light switches did not work by the bed. The floor needed a bit more cleaning due to having yellow carpets clearly for a long time. The bathroom was big and clean however the shower over bath was hanging off. Towels were fluffy. Mattress quality super soft and not in a good way you just sunk into it and I’m not a heavy set person. I must say minus the room the food quality was exceptional. I went for the salmon and it was glorious. The wine choice again very good. I also could not fault the breakfast. Great quality. I would stay again hopefully in a better quality room with things that work. If that does not work then I will come back for the food.

Lovely location. Super lovely staff. Great buffet breakfast. Rooms are beige but nice. Bathrooms in good condition. Lots of space. Quiet AC. Lots of storage. Big downside was the bed. Lumpy and uncomfortable. A shame because everything else was more than adequate.

Needs a refurb on the rooms by updating No uk plug socket by bed (round pin)!! No usb ports for charging Need dredging and brightening up. Walk in shower preferred A/c did not work at all, pumped warm air out at the lowest 16 degrees obviously faulty. Bed too soft, take a leaf out of premier inn beds by far more superior

We had a suite and the size was excellent but the windows in both rooms were too small to let enough natural light in. Reception were great, the spa was excellent with plenty of beds round the pool. Breakfast was good apart from the fruit.

The hotel is very attractive and in a good setting convenient for the motorway network. The rooms are nice . The staff could have been a bit more friendly we found them quite formal. We received conflicting information about the cost and availability of some services. For example, some of us were told that there was no facility to store luggage, others had their luggage stored without a problem.

Staff can be rude and very judgemental. Felt somewhat discriminated against because i am a young man of colour. Found my self offended way too many times. The actual hotel and Facilities were brilliant. Some of the staff can be very rude and intrusive. Amazing Spar and gym staff, also compliments to the Chef!

Really liked the place but it let itself down in the details. My daughter had milk split over her at breakfast by a staff member, waiter apologised and then disappeared. No one came to clear up the milk nor sort out my daughter's milk covered clothes. I went to explain at the front desk and asked for help as we were travelling for a few days "there's a DIY laundry in town...." Really! We had 5 treatments and they billed us for 10, luckily my son had smelt a rat and picked them up on it when we checked out, nearly £300 over charge removed... None of this leave a good taste which is a shame as the facilities are good, clean and the pool staff are very helpful. Would be nervous to go back as I just want to relax and trust the people who are looking after us.

On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming, I believe the lady who dealt with us was called Katie. The staff in the restaurant in the evening again were lovely, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.

It was a special visit and we met family and friends for the Saturday lunch together. The restaurant staff really made us feel welcome and the food was excellent. All the staff were very friendly. A special mention form Charlotte who helped me arrange the event.

Lovely setting, went for a fab wedding in Post Barn nearby - but it was the staff that made the difference - they honestly couldn't have been any more helpful, even offering to lay on a big golf buggy to get us to the wedding venue on an unexpectedly cold evening - which kicked the night off in hilarious fashion.

Everything great, especially the restaurant food. Only issue was the breakfast coffee machines. As someone who likes coffee especially a cappuccino in the morning, the machines didn’t appear to be ‘bean to cup’ and the milk was not fresh. Sort out the coffee and my stay would have been excellent.

Room and staff were good but the restaurant has changed the menu to what looks like a pub menu. What they have, isn't cooked particularly well either. Scampi on the first night was overcooked and rock hard on the coating. Second night, the sausages were swimming in a disgusting concentrated sauce that was supposed to be onion gravy. Far too much of it. There was also a group of about 10 men on a table that were so loud, no one else in the restaurant could hold a conversation. Staff only asked them to be quiet, when people complained. Not the sort of dining experience I would expect from a supposedly 4 star hotel. The breakfast was also poor. Very tired looking selection with poor choices. Het with the times and cook to order and get rid of the chaffing dishes!! Glad I hadn't brought any business associates here to eat on my recommendation, I would have been embarrassed!!!
