The rooms certainly need an upgrade, and perhaps facilities for a late night drink and something to eat. But the grounds are lovely and it’s walkable from most big tourist areas.

Very pleasant overnight stay. Excellent food and service from friendly staff. Attractive setting. Spacious room with comfortable bed. Warm despite the cold weather. Pleasant short walk to Donnington Castle with superb views over surrounding countryside. Decor and fittings in the room looking tired but generally clean.

Our room was absolutely lovely. Large, airy and comfortable. Excellent shower but we did not like the extractor fan which came on when the lights came on automatically and stayed on for about 20 minutes- not good in the middle of the night.
