Mont Clare Boutique Apartments

The room upstairs on the 6th floor was okay but in need of some maintenance e.g. extra toilet leaking on floor, cracked tiles on kitchen floor, vinyl covering on one couch cushion gone, curtains didn't properly fit main bedroom therefore light shining in, frying pan handle falling off, no towel rails in bathroom, and very leaky shower head. Make sure you are fit enough to carry luggage up steep stairs if staying on the 6th floor because elevator only goes to 5th floor.

AC cover off, serviced and cleaned during our stay at 4pm Pool out of service - not informed prior to stay Fridge leaking from the back onto the floor Wifi wouldn’t connect, 3 further passwords given Could only use Netflix or YouTube if had a dongle, not informed prior to stay Bathroom sink tap wouldn’t turn off completely Using the shower hose in the bathroom, doesn’t turn off the tap to make it separate and just flow into the hose Bath was extremely slippery Location was good but overall, poor communication and definitely needs an update!

Pool was not in use- but was not informed of this, kids very disappointed. Room states king bed- was 2 singles pushed together. Room very dirty- shower had hair in it (not ours!), bed sheets were not tucked in, only laid on bed, dining table chairs stained, air con was not cold. No information in room at all regarding free wifi code or attractions in and around Perth. Very unsatisfied and would never stay again.

-Bathroom had mold throughout the shower and basin -Broken /cracked basin -Basin in the second toilet leaking water. -Water leaking through the tiles on the bottom of the wall behind the door. toilet floor was covered in water this morning 24/12/23 (son slipped over) -Holes in the walls -Stains on the carpets -Remote controls for the air-conditioning and television didn't work. - Clothes left in the dry/washing machine from previous guests. - Beds were extremely uncomfortable - Cockroach on the kitchen bench. -Hot and cold-water taps reversed, luckily our children did not have the first showers. -Mold on the bathroom floor -Cutlery dirty and left in the dishwasher from Previous guests. -Air-conditioning leaking water. Reception was contacted multiple times in regards to the issues - stated the maintenance man would come and review complaints - maintenance man never attended. -Inaccessible car parking We left and returned to find no car parks available. - called reception and were told to park in overflow car pack- unfortunately our car height didn't allow us access. After being told height was 2.4 metres. The photographs of the hotel rooms were definitely not a true representation of the rooms at all. Unfortunately, these were the worst hotel rooms we have ever stayed in.

The proximity to the Perth Concert Hall was excellent. We were not advised that to access our apartment we needed to catch the lift to the 5th floor and then a flight of stairs to the 6th floor. The parking was extremely limited and only suitable for small vehicles, which we were also not advised about. The table in the apartment was water damaged and badly needs re-sanding and varnishing, and the some of the chairs were damaged and too unsafe to sit on.

Not allowed to park additional cars had seven guests staying three vehicles in total only allowed to park one car in the secure carpark offered to pay for extra parking was denied this request had to park extra vehicles in public car parks away from the venue.

The gentleman at customer service was so lovely and accomodating. Check in and our process was super quick. The apartments are well equipped with all essentials. I was at the front while another customer came in and he was so quick to meet her needs. Over all the apartment was spacious and clean. Great safe parking for $10 a day ! Will be back again

Affordable inner city accom. The unit was nice but the bathrooms were very old & def need a revamp. But totally suitable for budget accom. Loved the pool and the desk staff were really helpful & friendly.

Initially, my partner was not allowed to check in as my flight was delayed. Overall condition of the room and its facilities was terrible. Air con leaked water. Hallways stunk of cigarettes. Paid $20 for parking. Was told where we could park and there was nothing left. Refused a parking refund.

The 2 bdrm apartment we had was nothing like the photos. The furniture was old and dated with the varnish peeling of it, the carpets etc were filthy. The couch was so hard you couldn't sit on it. We would never stay there again and would not recommend it.

My stay at mont Clare appartments was terrible. It smelt of cigarette smoke in the building. The sheets on the bed were dirty and I found bobby pins while I was sleeping, so I am assuming that the sheets weren’t cleaned in between clients, they also were smelt like cigarette smoke. The room was generally run down and do not match what was advertised. I wasn’t very happy and wasn’t worth the money at all.

Property is old and needs love. Not clean. Water leakage . Shower old. Not enough pillows. No milk. Not enough coffee sachets Balcony floor cracked and looks unsafe.

Uncomfortable beds, no hearing or cooling in the bedrooms very stuffy, dirty bed coverings had holes and stains on the linen, there was clumps of dirt and dried up old food in the couch on the floor and on one of the beds, the skirtings are risen around the floors and a danger for trip hazards which occurred during our stay, the showe had mould growing in it. We booked for 3 adults and a child and were given 2 king size beds when we asked if we could have a different configuration and have a separate bedding for an adult and child we were told it like this because we hadn’t requested that configuration, we were unaware that a child was expected to sleep With an adult, the manager offered us the sofa couch option and brought up sheets and no pillow for the couch, someone’s drinks were in the fridge so the room hadn’t been cleaned up properly, there were no parking bay’s available due to majority of the parks reserved for residents, after driving around the tight parking lot we went back into ask where we were meant to park, we were there given a map for overflow parking away from the hotel, very inconvenient and not well communicated about, the carpet to one of the rooms is torn and a trip hazard also, no face cloths, no shower caps supplied.. shabby and disappointing, they need refreshing and new furniture kitchen cupboards are damaged dining chairs and coffee table are unsafe the screws all needs tightening, all rickety and wobbly we won’t be back.one positive = fast lift

Dirty vinyl floors. Looked like it hasn’t been mopped prior to us staying. And there’s cockroaches in the cupboard and dirt. Just poor condition all over.

No hair dryer, no plugs for sinks or bath, lack of kitchen cookware, frypan wouldnt use due to being so scratched, room only had a basic clean, shower has mould all around it. Rooms look nothing like the photos, place just needs a good refresh and update especially for the price we paid.

We stayed at Mont Clare Boutique Apartments for one night, and it was one night too many. The check in was easy enough but that’s where the positivity stops. - There were exposed fixings in the floor, which was incredibly dangerous considering we were travelling with two young children. - The mould throughout the bathroom was disgusting and showed how poorly maintained the rooms were. - Everything about the apartment was dated. - There was exposed metal corner angle in the kitchen. - The TV did not work - The wifi reception didn’t extend to the bedrooms - The lift felt unsafe as it shuddered to each floor. - When trying to go to sleep, footsteps could be heard (from what sounded like the apartment below). - The drier door kept popping open, and the drier made our clothes wetter - There were no power outlets in the main bedroom - The paperwork from a previous guest was in the apartment which evidenced the poor cleaning between guests. If you are considering staying at Mont Clare, don’t.

ideal location. Unfortunately, the property was dirty, cockroaches and ants were in the room, and toilets were leaking. When we tried to talk to the receptionist they were rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend this place.

Apartment is extremely run down, not furnished properly and the corridor smells like cigarettes. Don't waste your time.

I liked that we had a laundry in the apartment. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped for our stay.

The shower screen door was broken, the soap holder needs tightening up, balcony screen door needs repair. Maybe more bowls.

TV controller doesn't work. The Internet signal is too weak so unable to connect wifi internet.

The bathroom was for a disabled person and the ties grout was black. When asked for wine glasses 2 times, didnt get them until the next day in the afternoon. The street was very loud. Would rather stay at YHA.

Apartment was very old, outdated and looked rundown. Shower in ensuite was just a handheld hose over the bath with no curtain or glass. No power points in bedrooms, which is hard when travelling with 4 people needing to change multiple devices. Hallway smelt of smoke. However, the apartment was clean. Great for an overnight stay but would not stay longer or stay there again. Staff friendly and helpful.

I wouldn’t use the word boutique to describe these apartments. It was perfunctory and ok but they all need a little TLC to make them comfortable

The staff were excellent. We had a problem with our washer/dryer. Wayne the maintained man was there within two minutes. When he realised the dryer was broken, he took our washing to the hotel’s dryer and returned it when dry. Very impressed.

The communication was very poor and not helpful in accommodating simple requests like adding my wife's name to the booking so she could check in at the hotel.

Did not like the front of house staff, the lady working the front desk was rude and not helpful in any way.

Cannot thank the staff enough for going above and beyond in helping me during my stay. Very helpful and kept checking in on me when ever they saw me after my day surgery. Thankyou so much and would defiantly stay here again.

The reception closes at 7pm I you lode a key or if you need a hairdryer these is no one to contact until 9 am in the morning

Good staff

We filed a complaint and requested a refund. We walked out after seeing the property. Reception was not willing to help to solve the problem. It’s not like as shown in photos. Bathrooms are unacceptable condition. Wotif is not very transparent in presenting the property online.

Walkable to city mall train station to freo river beer garden lucky shag 10 walk along swan river

Reasonably priced for being so central. Easy access and able to walk to Optus Stadium and Barrack Square for ferry and bus tours. The room did need maintainence on sliding fly screen but it was lovely and clean.

Service was excellent and very accommodating for guests. The location is very convenient and close to the CBD with free city service access. will definitely return.
