It was quiet when we checked in the person working wouldn’t talk load enough to hear. Then gave us the key to an occupied room that we walked in on. The pool and hot tub and wifi were all not working

They allowed booking of room without telling customers pool was closed and main lobby flooring was getting done blocking the elevators. Had to walk to back of building and use stairs. On top of that there was electrical work being done leaving the building with no power the entire evening. No mention of this when room was booked. No discount, no apology. Outside the building was a scene from Escape from New York with the added charm of fentynal.

The only thing was the pool had to be drained and we didn’t get to use it in the morning. Close to the Sasktel Center which is why we were there.

The hotel is under a major renovation and I wasn’t aware of that. Had I been aware of the renovation I would have stayed elsewhere. No pool , no hot tub and the gym was open but the only 2 treadmills were out of order. There was vandalism to vehicles in the parking lot , broken windows and flat tires so not a very pleasant experience.

The hotel was under construction. The ice machines were hit and miss and had to go to different floors to grab ice. It was nice that there was security and the elevators were card activated.

Check-in was fast, easy, and we were put into a beautifully renovated suite. Within minutes I received a call from the front desk stating they put us on a floor that was not pet friendly. We were moved to an old room, which I expected. What I didn't expect is how gross it would be. There is significant mold in the bathtub, the tub and sink drain very slowly, the carpet and drapes have significant stains. We were charged extra for having a small dog, which I expect, but in this instance it's surprising because the room is already so disgusting.

The check in and check out was great, room was spotless. The only thing with 318 was the shower head should be looked at not a lot of water flow. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Staff are friendly was able to do early check in however our room was not cleaned properly. The roll of toilet paper on the wall for us to use had dried blood on side of the the whole roll so immediately threw it out and put new roll up and wood chips ? Appear all over floor in closet. Bed is comfortable but would chose to stay elsewhere due to the cleanliness of room

The hallways were littered with take out bags, and I mean tons of them. The elevators had trash on the floor that none cleaned up. The room itself was not very clean, from the toilet, to the carpets to the bed. It was awful. I was booked for two nights, but got a refund on the second night and moved down the road. I am not too picky with hotels, and don't need 5 star luxury, but clean, quiet with a comfortable bed is a must. This had none of those things.

When I checked in the attendant said my room number out loud when giving me my key cards. I feel like it is best practice to not say the room number out loud in order to maintain privacy/safety. The person working was a male with blond hair. There were many people (other guests) standing around and would have heard it- making me feel very uncomfortable. Also, there were hairs in the shower right when I walked into the room. The room itself is very nice, it has been renovated since my last stay and upgrades are apparent. I felt sharing these peices from my experience could help improve future guests experiences. I have stayed with Sandman many times when visiting Saskatoon and would like to continue that in the future, with the understanding/hope neither of these things would happen again.

The check-in experience was very good. The front desk clerk was helpful and accommodating as we had to fly out early in the morning. They called a cab so it would be waiting for us when we needed and the cost of leaving our car was much cheaper than any other parking company or hotel. The rooms need some updating and we’re not very clean looking (needed some serious elbow grease to clean them up). They looked a bit dingy and there were a few hairs in the tub and pink around the bathtub tiles.

there was no trim around the doors in the hallway, the first room we were in there was bloody tissue on the floor and hair in the bathtub. they moved us to a second room free of charge, but it smelled of mold and the bathroom still didn't feel the cleanest

The room was very dirty. Smears all over the curtains, bathroom dirty, the fridge propped up wiith a cleaning sponge. When brought to the attention of the manager, they were very cooperative and found us a new room. This room was a little better, but this time with as mold and musty smell and visible mold on the baseboards of the bathroom. Again, management was cooprative and found us a new room. Although staff was very cooperative, frindly and helpfukl I would not recommend this hotel based on it's facilities and lack of cleanliness.

I liked that the restaurants were attached to the hotel, very convenient. The key cards were brtual, had the get it reprogrammed several times. You can hear people walking around, it legit sounded like someone was walking around my room. Maybe they have ghosts?

Hotel was in a good location for where we needed to go. The poor review is for the bed, it must have been really old mattress since it had no support(and no fitted sheet), in the morning daylight you could actually see how much it sank down compared to the bed beside it, worst sleep in a hotel ever in that bed.

This Sandman has recently had a facelift ... and it is now back to being "good value for the price". So we will definitely start using it again. One star docked for the small detail; the maintenance dept needs to go through the rooms and do touch ups ...

Hotel is renovating the main floor but the room I had is definitely showing its age. I stayed on the Ave C/Circle Drive side of the building very very noisy with traffic was surprised they don’t offer ear plugs because of this. Will definitely think twice about booking at this hotel again. Only good thing has two restaurants attached so didn’t have to drive anywhere for supper or breakfast.

The front desk assigned me someone else’s room which was not discovered until I walked into it. The hotel also had about 50 beds sitting in the lobby & hallways blocked off with plastic that were under construction which was not a great atmosphere.

Wasn’t able to stay. Booked online for my GF who lost her credit card and wasn’t able to get a new one before having to fly out to work. I Paid for the room through Expedia so she wouldn’t have to worry but when she got there they insisted she needed physical credit card for a deposit even though room was paid for and they wouldnt help to accommodate in any other way. I understand the need for a damage deposit but there should have been something they could have worked out. But because of this she ended up having to sleep in her vehicle before her flight. I will not book there again.

Checked in at 4pm ish. Room was extremely hot and air conditioning was not working. I talked to front desk agent and he basically said oh well it's hot. I asked to move rooms and after negotiationing he agreed to move me to.another room. The room he moved me to was every bit as hot. I gave it an hr and room didn't cool off. I went down to the desk and asked to have them find me a room that the air was working. He told me it's hot and it's too bad. I asked again if I could have a room with air that worked. He told me it would be a half hr or so until he would try and look for one. I asked him to please expedite this as I needed to get to bed as I had to be up at 4am. This was 7pm. I asked for a refund as I was was.going to move to a hotel that the air conditioning worked. He then immediately found a room that had working air conditioning. Service was awful and there was zero empathy shown toward myself and others having the same issue. My room was over 30deg C and he expected me to pay full price and deal with it.

I was traveling with my adult son and they gave us a room with one king bed. They had rooms with two beds however they wanted an additional $35 for those. Self parking in their lot is $15. The room that we were given, had no air of insulation and was very hot. It was not a pleasant day. Staff is indifferent and do not practice hospitality. My advice is to find somewhere else to stay.

We booked this hotel through Expedia. It was under construction and we didn’t get the room type we wanted. Beverly was amazing and changed us quickly gave us a great deal and was so supportive. We will definitely stay there again!

Great hotel. Most rooms are renovated. Nice to have 2 restaurants for dining choices. Close to airport as well. For concerts at Sasktel Center, a shuttle bus will transport you there and back for $10 a person.

The door to the room did not lock from the outside. Early check-in was not possible. Asked for a room on the main floor, but was put on the fourth floor. Hotel is located close to airport (15 minutes walk, but not all roads had sidewalks for pedestrians. Very noisy location right next to cicle drive. Shark Club bar/ restaurant and Denny’s breakfast place in the building. No free breakfast.

When we were checking out my wife found one dirty sock and a pair of plastic safety glasses on the floor of the closet. Also we had supper in Denny’s restaurant Saturday evening and the food was great and the service was fantastic. Then Sunday morning we had breakfast at the same restaurant and the food was good and the service was terrible. We were not asked how the food was and weren’t offered a second cup of coffee. We also had to call the waiter over to get our bill. We would definitely stay at the hotel again but would not eat at the restaurant.
