All very good with friendly and helpful staff. Just a 5 to 7 minute walk into town and only £5 per night for their own car park. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Satisfactory stay. The positives were that it was close to the town, 10 min walk and a 5 min walk to Vivary park, which was where we needed to go for the concerts. The staff were nice, parking was a great convenience and only £5 a day. We had a cosy comfort room, over the reception desk, unbeknown to us this was where all the deliveries came in so we were woke at 6:30am on a bank holiday Monday by deliveries and a lot of noise from the main road. The next morning was a bit later, 8:30 so not so bad. The room could have done with a freshen up, it was tired and not the cleanest but passable. The bed was only a double but it was comfortable and clean. The shower was very hot and difficult to adjust the temperature and the bath was very slippery. All in all a nice place, happy to stay 1/2 nights. Glad I had gift vouchers though as wouldn’t have been too happy about paying £170 myself. I would recommend asking for a room over looking the rear car park, as it would be quieter.

Hotel entrance is very tight for your car. I was put in a room on the outside of the hotel. First night room was freezing and was told the heaters are on a timer but was given an electric plug in heater. I left early in the morning and as not in the main part had to walk round the outside of the main hotel by the road to come back in the car park. Not great especially if raining. Staff were very friendly

The room i stayed in was tired and in need of some attention, there is no air conditioning in the room and window need some persuasion to open. Fridge was defrosting and potential for micro growth. Had 1 of the nights totally sleepless due to others making extreme noise all night and had to call night security at 3am , Car park very tight, not great if you have a wide car.

Great location. Parking was easy. Room was affordable and great value compared to others (on a bank holiday weekend). Staff were friendly. Very clean. Easy check out. Only slight downside… room was up a flight of stairs and no lift although a member of staff did offer to help with my bags.

Old and new buildings together to make the max amount of rooms serviced by the facilities. The car park has a restricted entrance which is great for car drivers, some of them leaving paint on the wall on leaving. It’s nice being in a hotel without vans, purely my view, snobbish l no but hey you asked me.

I like the style and design of hotel, safe parking( its a shame that you have to pay) decor in bedroom 10 .needs attention to walls and ceiling, stains on carpet, loose toilet seat and stains on seat catches to toilet pan, ill fitting windows and drafty. But excellent heating warm. Reception ok. on check-in not very welcoming lack of conversation. I chose this hotel as my Daughter had stayed here.

Couldn’t fault anything - room, bathroom, bed - everything was as you would expect but don’t always get. Even a fridge! We didn’t find the fridge as we’ve never had a hotel room with a fridge so wasn’t even looking for one! And the milk (fresh) was in it but we made do with black coffee 😄😄

We couldn’t open the window in Room 2. We got the secondary glazing opened but then couldn’t get the outside window open. We mentioned this the next morning and we were told it did open but in a way we wouldn’t recognise. As it was very late and I was undressed for bed we didn’t/couldn’t get it sorted. Because of this I didn’t sleep well as I need an open window but we will remember next time we come (which we will) to ask for a room where we don’t have that issue again. Otherwise all good. x

An oasis near the centre of Taunton - All I needed was a beer, some food and a very comfy bed after a hard day and they obliged in ample measure. Although the chef count was down to one through an absence they still managed to rustle up a nice meal (thanks guys). The bed was huge and the room nice and large. Breakfast was ample. All in all it was what we all seek but find it hard to discover these days - Good Value.

Nice hotel overall, the floorboards creaked on the first floor and room something terrible, to the point that I thought someone was in my room in the night. Breakfast was really nice but pricey. Most of the staff were friendly except one (as I’ve seen on previous reviews) it seems like she’s the one who doesn’t make an effort with customers in the hotel. I would stay again and try and avoid the one rude staff member if possible.

we were supposed to have booked a compact room but they gave us what is advertised as their single room. The bed is not fit dor a couple. We are very slim people and had an awfully uncomfortable night The room has iron board , good hair dryer and coffee facilities .A definite no no !

Just needed an overnight stay before an early morning appointment at Musgrove Park Hospital. This was a beautifully kept property, and so convenient for both the Hospital and for Taunton town centre. I am in a wheelchair, and although there was not a wheelchair accessible room available (it had already been booked), the staff found me a wonderful ground floor room that was totally suitable for my needs. The room was warm and comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I was looking for another overnight stay in the town. Thank you very much to all staff concerned.

Booked very last minute as I was in a long journey late in the day. Location was my prime reason to book, but it was a lovely place. Entrance to and exit from the car park are narrow, but managed it without incident. Breakfast looked great but I had to leave too early to try. Very helpful and friendly staff on in the evening, no much interaction in the morning but seemed just as nice. Added to my list for future use!

Just needed an overnight stay before an early morning appointment at Musgrove Park Hospital. This was a beautifully kept property, and so convenient for both the Hospital and for Taunton town centre. I am in a wheelchair, and although there was not a wheelchair accessible room available (it had already been booked), the staff found me a wonderful ground floor room that was totally suitable for my needs. The room was warm and comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I was looking for another overnight stay in the town. Thank you very much to all staff concerned.

Satisfactory stay. The positives were that it was close to the town, 10 min walk and a 5 min walk to Vivary park, which was where we needed to go for the concerts. The staff were nice, parking was a great convenience and only £5 a day. We had a cosy comfort room, over the reception desk, unbeknown to us this was where all the deliveries came in so we were woke at 6:30am on a bank holiday Monday by deliveries and a lot of noise from the main road. The next morning was a bit later, 8:30 so not so bad. The room could have done with a freshen up, it was tired and not the cleanest but passable. The bed was only a double but it was comfortable and clean. The shower was very hot and difficult to adjust the temperature and the bath was very slippery. All in all a nice place, happy to stay 1/2 nights. Glad I had gift vouchers though as wouldn’t have been too happy about paying £170 myself. I would recommend asking for a room over looking the rear car park, as it would be quieter.

Great location. Parking was easy. Room was affordable and great value compared to others (on a bank holiday weekend). Staff were friendly. Very clean. Easy check out. Only slight downside… room was up a flight of stairs and no lift although a member of staff did offer to help with my bags.

An attractive old building, well maintained, with some nice Gothic revival features. The room was large and the bed comfortable, although as an older property it was a little dated. Car parking was as good as it could be, given the eccentric site, and the extremely narrow exit. But the real glory of this hotel is the restaurant - a very attractive dinner menu with strong French influence, adequate choices and beautifully cooked (no easily prepared burgers or pizzas here) - not quite fine dining, but very high quality. And cleverly, the chef changes 2 or 3 dishes each day, so no problem if you're staying for several days. Breakfast is just as good. Overall, the Corner House is as good as it gets in Taunton within a reasonable price range.

An oasis near the centre of Taunton - All I needed was a beer, some food and a very comfy bed after a hard day and they obliged in ample measure. Although the chef count was down to one through an absence they still managed to rustle up a nice meal (thanks guys). The bed was huge and the room nice and large. Breakfast was ample. All in all it was what we all seek but find it hard to discover these days - Good Value.

Nice hotel overall, the floorboards creaked on the first floor and room something terrible, to the point that I thought someone was in my room in the night. Breakfast was really nice but pricey. Most of the staff were friendly except one (as I’ve seen on previous reviews) it seems like she’s the one who doesn’t make an effort with customers in the hotel. I would stay again and try and avoid the one rude staff member if possible.

My room was so hot and that's in the middle of winter with the radiator turned of I had to have the windows open. I was a bit disappointed that you have to pay for parking £10 a day and would loved to of had breakfast but at £16.95 to expensive. I travel a lot around the UK and have 19 reward nights so like to leave a honest review. I think this is over priced,

All very good with friendly and helpful staff. Just a 5 to 7 minute walk into town and only £5 per night for their own car park. I wouldn't hesitate to return.
