Stayed here many times since it is conveniently located, comfortable and fairly priced. Some things to take into account though: the aircon is set quite cold and cannot be adjusted, always turned it off at night; parking spaces fill quickly but spaces are available across the road at their sister hotel

We stayed 3 times at The Palmer. The attached Restaurant was quick, efficient and had some healthy and some decadent options. The rooms and ammenities are basic but comfortable. The free laundry facilities were nice but got a bit crowded for mid trip washing.

The hotel and staff were great, clean, friendly and quiet. Only small down side was the pool was out of action, which would have been nice to know ahead of time and there is a construction happening next door, which affected carpaking on site. restaurant was amazing, great food and perfect location. I will come back and hopefully the pool will be open.

Rooms are a little smaller than normal but modern, good fittings and clean. Bedding is super comfortable. I didn't get any noise transferred from other rooms, individual aircon that worked fine and quiet. Can't ask for more than that.

Spent five nights in Townsville and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel. From when we checked until check out, and everything in between, we were made to feel welcome from fantastic staff in all areas and they had the best beds. Marshmallow bed my partner called it. Was so comfortable. And location, well couldn’t have been better. So many eating options including there. Fantastic stay, would highly recommend and look forward to staying there again.

My main issue with the room was lack of fresh air - the windows do not open, and when I arrived in the room it was like a refrigerator, and the cleaning detergents used were very pungent. Like there could have been some sort of accident pungent. Anyway, a window that opened would have been very handy but not to be. The hotel is in a nice area of Townsville, and the service and convenience was pretty good.

Great location, well appointed and clean. Only mishap was we had paid for a 12pm late check out and one of the staff knocked once then barged in telling us check out was at 10! Did not apologise! Incredibly rude and would strongly recommend they revise how they enter guest rooms for privacy.

Reception closed at 9pm so checkin was across the street at another hotel. A nightsafe would have been a better option to offer guests. The head Receptionist the next morning at checkout had an attitude and had very o customer service.

As per usual the team at the Hotel were great. Nothing was ever out of the question, and everything was done with a smile. Have been staying with this team for the last five years and will continue to do so whenever I'm in Townsville.
