The pool was dirty especially the steps going down into the water. The hot tub was not working and was also murky. We did notify the front desk and were told they would get maintenance to look at it. The bathroom door in the room did not shut. I do not write reviews, however, I promised myself that I would for this stay. Our stay was not worth the amount of money I spent for our weekend get away.

Where to begin 🤔 the hotels elevators move extremely slow and was not aloud to use the stairs. Which was almost causing fist fights among other guests waiting for the elevators and they were the only 2 in the bulding in a city as big as Winnipeg is flabbergasting. But other then that the staff was awesome and did everything to the best of their abilities.

The main reason for staying at this hotel was the waterslide/pool area. The pool is terribly maintained. There is slimy brown/green mould all over the stairs leading up to the top of the slide. The pool/hot tub chemicals were way out of wack (I say this as someone who has experience with pool/spa water makeup). There are excessive chloramines that are producing off-gas that will make your eyes burn and your skin to be irritated (even if you do not open your eyes in the water).

Terrible stay. Noisy at all hours. Slamming doors all night. At 1030pm a guy was sanding and vacuuming up patches on wall. Construction was on the 2nd floor so we didn't expect it on our floor (5th) at 1030pm. Pool was messy. Towels and empty beer cans everywhere. First night the hot tub was out of service. Second night there was blood all over floor of pool and bloody towels. Friendly staff was about the only positive.

Absolutely awful. People outside the main entrance smoking pot. Room was musty and smelly. Carpet was damp and sticky. Beds were too soft. Fan was ticking all night. There was poop in the toilet. Never ever will I stay there again. Just gross!!

The hotel room we’re in ROOM 322 smells like pee the moment you walks in. More so one you open the closet and into the washroom, where there’s no exhaust! The hallway were filled with garbages, should provide bins on every floor as I don’t see any. Though the staff were helpful and accomodating giving us free water bottles which you get seldom now a days.

Building is dated and smells, walked in our room and it smelt like someone just finished a number 2. Hallways smelt like mould and dampness, air conditioning in our room sounded like a plane taking off. Pool was good and staff was very friendly but will not stay there again.

Staff were friendly, efficient. Still being treated for bed bugs. No noise control after 10, 11 p.m.; children and adults shouting throughout hall area; room door constantly noisily slammed shut; did not have restful sleep during entire stay.

It's our first time to stay in a hotel that mice were found not only in one room but in several rooms in multiple floors. This reflects the cleanliness of the area. And unfortunately, the parking area at the back, some of the guest vehicle was vandalized/break-in. This reflects the safety of the area.

We pre paid and booked this hotel for my sons birthday and I truly wish we had of chosen to pay on site because we would not have stayed. The air conditioning unit was so dirty that using it Caused the entire room to be covered with dust. There was huge piles of dirt under the heaters, every surface was covered in dust and the sink had multiple cigarette burns on it. I have a dust allergy and ended up having a terrible reaction to the dirt. If you pre pay getting your money back to go to another hotel will take 3-5 buisness days, which was longer than our trip. The pool was nice for kids but there was a lot of unattended children there cursing and roughhousing on the slide, pushing past the smaller children. Two staff came in to the pool area at separate times, they heard the cursing and saw all the kids without wrist bands and did nothing. Very disappointing for the families who were just trying to have a good time with their children.

Staff was nice, hotel was old. Elevators dirty and beat up, smelled a little like pot in certain areas. Room was fine. Couldn't figure out HVAC so just left it as-is. Found a gross press on fingernail on the carpet from prior guest. Overall fine, but nothing exceptional, I was in and out in 12 hours. Get what you pay for.

Pool deck was never swept or mopped. There was vomit on the floor of the elevator in the morning on feb 22. Had housekeeping enter my room before checkout time to clean. They knocked, said housekeeping and let them selves in.. wouldn’t pick this hotel to stay again

Decent conference hotel. Rooms are renovated, but minimalist. Bare essentials, but comfortable. Helpful staff. Be aware that they do not allow food couriers to deliver to rooms, you must retrieve your order in the lobby. My TV had a persistent menu displayed that would need to be dismissed from the TV each time it was powered on. Not sure if other rooms are like that. WiFi is decent for streaming. You can connect an external video player and change the TV shource.

The part of the hotel that faces the pool doesn't have blinds that black out the light, so you have to be awake/have bright light in your room whenever the pool is open. Super inconvenient if you plan on sleeping before 10pm.

Main floor amenities are excellent. Nice restaurant etc. Our room (5th floor) was a little tired. The bed was excellent but air conditioning unit was simply old and loud even on lowest setting. The room was huge but lacked furniture such as a chair to relax in. The desk chair was broken (lift mechanism was inoperative, so one had to sit far too low at the desk. A little dog barked in a room down the hall from about 7:30am until late morning. A maintenance guy checked out the air conditioning unit and said they were all noisy. Staff were told about the desk chair and missing armchair but nothing developed. We were there four nights . . .

The room and facility was nice but super noisy . You could hear everything from the next door rooms and people in the hallways . It wasn’t a very restful night . We moved to a different hotel for our other nights .

Called AHEAD to advise if debit was acceptable for payment. Told yes. In fact not. Upgraded my room without even a phone call. Room wasn’t up to my standards. Check in lady was cold, unwelcoming. Inconvenience when restaurant is closed, vending machine doesn’t work. Cant get bottled water late night when stores closed. Front desk has nothing to offer. Wish i got $ back.

Check in and out was easy and fast friendly service. Only issue was a loud disturbance down the hall from us as a drunk person banging on the door for someone. Security handled it quickly but it was still annoying at 1130 at night. Otherwise all in all it was a good stay

I didn’t like how when ordering room service I had to come down to grab my food, was not easy with a toddler and newborn. Why is it called room service? Aaltos. Even brunch the next morning of all the staff I saw and spoke with, one was very kind and got my son something to color on/with and was helpful, the others seemed annoyed and like we were a inconvenience, though the ones serving the food during brunch were happy and kind, and they were the ones that were actually dealing with a rush of people. The housekeeping was awesome, gave me everything I needed and was very kind and happy too. I get some people have bad days, but kindness is free and unless I’m being rude towards u, there’s no reason to act like I’m inconvenient when I’m just a guest, even my toddler wasn’t acting up, which would be understandable too if that had been the case.

The lady at checkin went above and beyond for us. She was very kind and upgraded our room to”do something nice for us” the room was very nice and clean and very quiet. We will definitely stay here again!!

The area around the property feels unsafe and alone. The infraestructura of the hotel looks old. However was very clean and the restaurant inside the hotel Altos has good food and service!

Close to airport which is nice. A lot of people going in and out of the building and anyone can go up the elevators onto floors with rooms. Adding a key lock on the door or on elevators so only guests can access would feel a lot safer. And having separate entrance with full time security/check in for public access

There's nothing wrong with the hotel or staff and they're upgrading parts of it now. The kids loved the water slides. The area surrounding is a bit dicey and we were approached multiple times in the parking lot from people asking for lighters, cigarettes, etc

Overall not a bad place, but people were up till midnight and being loud on the floor (not really hotels issue but is an experience issue). No breakfast or coffee location at the hotel until after 7 and never found the resturant offered.
