Lovely hotel in a grade 2 listed building. Good car park. Room was adequate size, very clean and nicely decorated. Tea/coffee available in the room. Bathroom was also very clean, bath and shower. Shower was powerful and plenty of hot water. Good choice at breakfast with food cooked to order in a well laid out dining room. Small bar, only bottled beer/lager reasonable prices. Finding the room was a little difficult because the fire doors off the landing didnt have numbers on them although the rooms themselves behind the fire doors did. No lift but there are 10 rooms on the ground floor. Would also have preferred mugs not small cups in the room Overall excellent value for money. Special mention to Claudia who goes over and beyond for every customer!

The Hotel is situated on a busy street but the room we had was quiet. The Hotel is old but kept well for a 3 star. The breakfasts are basic but good old fashioned English which was great. Staff very helpful and the amenities are limited but fine. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. Well priced for the area and convenience.

Breakfast is extra so we didn't have that. The restaurant isn't open at all otherwise so we went to the Roma restaurant up the road. That was good.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Car parking is quite tight to ensure there are enough spaces. Breakfast was available we hadn't found the price but it is now on the site £10.50 per head. We had booked the four poster but found it has both head and footboards, which might not have meant a good night's sleep for me - I am 6 feet 2" so the hotel suggested and arranged a change of room to ensure we avoided that problem. No air con (albeit a fan was provided, it doesn't cool) so a bit hot that night - the hotel was not to blame for the weather!

Fantastically clean room, great breakfast. Good location for city centre. Good off road parking with gates. Will be back when we are in the area. Maybe consider protectors on some of the new linen and pillows so they all stay immaculate like they were during our visit. Very good value.

Off road parking a huge bonus, room was neat and tidy, we had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Easy walk into town, to see a gig at Wulfrun Halls. Would visit again.

Nice breakfast not part of the price we paid for accomodation , but good quality, fair portion size, nice coffee, cooked freshly. Did not notice street noise despite the main road. Reasonable amount of car parking. Wanted somewhere near K K Steelmills, this fitted the bill, little over a mile so walkable, but we were there on a wet night, under £5.00 minicab it arrived promptly.

The hotel was old but clean and you get what you are paying for with these kind of properties. There was peeling wallpaper in the room but this wasn't something that affected me. The room was a little cold but an in-room electric radiator was provided. I would have liked more food on the Full English breakfast however as £10 was expensive for one slice of bacon, one sausage, one egg, beans, mushrooms, tomato and black pudding. However, toast and cereals and juices were also included which made up for it. Decent location away from the hustle and bustle of the town and the rooms were quiet. We were out the back and in the separate part of the building.

Having stayed previously. It was great to see the same warm welcome and service. The hotel is spotless with comfortable rooms providing everything needed for short or extended stays. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked to order. Ely House offers fantastic value for money and excellent service

Stayed for one night as we were picking up a new car from Wolverhampton. Hotel is in a quieter part of Wolverhampton with plenty of free parking. Hotel is spotlessly clean and room was great with excellent bathroom facilities. Excellent choice at breakfast and really tasty. This Hotels real asset though is Claudia the receptionist who is absolutely delightful, helpful and friendly.

Lovely hotel with really friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. Convenient location and walkable to shops nearby. Rooms were clean and well presented. Would definitely stay again next time I am in Wolverhampton.

Stayed for one night on a business trip. Really grim hotel, the staff member was nice enough though. Didn’t feel safe, felt like a really dodgy hotel, and slow wi-fi too with a dirty shower floor and weird smell. Would not stay again.

Breakfast was okay, little lacking in choice. Eg. Filter coffee would have been nice. The hotel was not busy we were given a ground floor room which was fine but the noise from upstairs rooms and people talking in reception during the night didn't really give a restful stay. If we stay again we will definitely ask for an upstairs room. Cleanliness was good, shower adequate if a little small but overall I would say value for what we paid.

Very professional and friendly welcome, very clean, most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for a long time, nice quiet hotel despite being fully booked. Slight negatives - big crack on panel behind toilet and curtains a bit faded. Quite cool temperature-wise (which I personally prefer for sleeping) but an extra electric radiator was available. Overall a good stay 👍

The greeting on check in was good. The room was large and everything was clean. A few areas could have done with a cosmetic overhaĺl. Breakfast was served efficiently and the cooked breakfast was large, the ingredients were not premium but adequate. There was some noise from other rooms either early morning or later at night from other guests.

The room was amazing as we were upgraded due to a bed mix up. Sara was a great introduction to this hotel. Very friendly and helpful, as was the breakfast server. The duvet cover needed to be bigger as it only just reached both sides of the bed and the under sheets came off during our sleep, so these need to be bigger too. It would be beneficial to have a choice of pillows. The bed was comfortable.

Easy check in but dont arrive before 3pm as you cant check on earliy. The hotel was locked and opened at 3pm We stayed in room 16 on the second floor. Nice room masive king size bed. Good suply of coffee and tea. Breakfast is excellent good quality and lots of it. The breakfast room and bar are clean and inviting. Drinks are reasonably priced. Location is about 15 minute walk from the city centre. Taxi to the darts costs just over over £6. Very nice Italian and indian restaurant close.

I reached the hotel after midnight due to heavy traffic from london and there was no one at reception. When i called they refused my check in and i had to find another hotel for my stay. I need a refund!

Sarah on reception was very friendly and efficient and was very clear in giving me details of the hotel’s facilities and where my room was located. Car parking at the back of the hotel was very welcome and my room was nicely decorated, very comfortable and quiet despite the hotel being on a main road

I was looking to make this an alternative choice to Novotel for a handicappedfriend. But to receive voiceovers that 'all our staff are busy,etc' when calling,only to find one member of staff who manned Reception, served meals,pleasantly,not a good advert.4-5 flights of stairways killed that Novotel alternative. Clean,comfortable single room 2nd floor

Easy check in but dont arrive before 3pm as you cant check on earliy. The hotel was locked and opened at 3pm We stayed in room 16 on the second floor. Nice room masive king size bed. Good suply of coffee and tea. Breakfast is excellent good quality and lots of it. The breakfast room and bar are clean and inviting. Drinks are reasonably priced. Location is about 15 minute walk from the city centre. Taxi to the darts costs just over over £6. Very nice Italian and indian restaurant close.

Breakfast was okay, little lacking in choice. Eg. Filter coffee would have been nice. The hotel was not busy we were given a ground floor room which was fine but the noise from upstairs rooms and people talking in reception during the night didn't really give a restful stay. If we stay again we will definitely ask for an upstairs room. Cleanliness was good, shower adequate if a little small but overall I would say value for what we paid.

Stayed for one night as we were picking up a new car from Wolverhampton. Hotel is in a quieter part of Wolverhampton with plenty of free parking. Hotel is spotlessly clean and room was great with excellent bathroom facilities. Excellent choice at breakfast and really tasty. This Hotels real asset though is Claudia the receptionist who is absolutely delightful, helpful and friendly.

Great bed, the room was a bit too hot so maybe a fan would have been nice. And the toilet needed reference as it was very worn and there was some wear and tear. However, as usual the room was immaculately clean, and the staff very friendly as well. Ive stayed a few times in the hotel now, so recommend it with hands. Great breakfast as well. One recommendation is to extend the breakfast time until 9.00 am instead of 8.30 am.
