The view and the location were beautiful and reception staff were just fine. The rooms themselves were somewhat dated though, but still comfortable. My only issue was the lack of courtesy from the bar staff. It may have been due to the fact that there was a party there are one night, but, they opened over an hour later than clearly advertised, were gruff and not friendly.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Giotto twice now and it’s such a great place. The views are amazing from the room. The spa was a great way to unwind from all the walking. We had dinner there for two nights that was impressive, the duck dish was a unique dish that I thought was amazing. They also have parking, which is unique for Assisi Also even though is in a ZTL zone , it’s not photo enforced so you can drive directly to the hotel and park there.

This property has an AMAZING view of Assisi. Located around the middle of the town it was an easy walk to the Basilica of St. Francis or the Basilica of Santa Chara. Suggest including breakfast as they have a great spread. We booked this hotel because it had a pool but it is only available if you use the spa or pay 30€. The rooms are a little run down but overall stay was good.

The hotel bed was not completely made when we arrived. The bedside dressers were not straight. The bed was off a box spring with no cover other than a sheet. The service staff was inept. was terrible, and breakfast was ok. Outdated, and everything was ancient. The bed was hard rock. We had to ask for fresh linens and toilet paper. The view was the only good thing. The rooms were hot. They even try to charge me extra for breakfast when it was suppose to be included when I reserves the room.

The only good this about this hotel is the location/views. The property itself is dated. The AC in our original room did not work and rather than admitting it, the staff kept denying that it was broken. Finally at 2 am they moved us to a new room with working AC. That room, however, had bugs (ants) on the counter. When we told the staff, the manager said that they try to clean it but that we are in the countryside……as though this is a justification for bugs in the hotel room.

Staff is super , amazing views, unbeatable location. The mini fridge was gone and no mention of it , which was disappointing, the bed was terrible, seriously need to up their game in that department because it is such an easy fix and would elevate their status because I overheard another guest say the same thing. Also air conditioning borderline .. 3024… cmon , a sweaty guest is an unhappy guest.

First impression was that room was tired and had not been thought through properly. Silly things like the full length mirror being at the foot of the bed - making it difficult to use; the main window being rather small, bathroom radiator being rusty - small niggly things that were a bit annoying..

Centrally located in Assisi, it is no more than a 10 minute walk to all the sites in the town. The beds were slightly dated but comfortable. The showers were the best so far in our trip around Italy. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly.

The breakfast was amazing! Lots of bread and cheese to try. The waffle was soft and fluffy. Fruits - both fresh and candied. Coffee maker was neat- good cappuccino and latte! The room has amazing view. We had a wonderful stay.

Great location beautiful view over the valley from balcony or if you have a valley view room.. hotel needs a total revamp, carpets are tired, decoration and communal areas very tired need a revamp and the small rooms need a major upgrade, net curtains had dirty stains.. bar closed around 9.30..

We did not know that we had to reserve parking beforehand. Hence, we had to pay park at a nearby facility at Euro 14 per day. Staff were very friendly, and service was top. Restaurant was excellent in ambience and quality with Antonio and Matteo was helpful and attentive. Concierge Roland was also v friendly

Beautiful charming hotel in a great location. I would return. Room was spacious, well appointed with a lovely terrace with amazing view. Person checking us in at front desk did not display any friendliness, no greeting, etc. He must have been having a bad day as everyone else at hotel was amazing. So first impression was that we were putting him out…luckily it was not repeated with other staff. I would gladly return.

A Truly Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Assisi We had the most beautiful experience during our stay at this charming hotel in Assisi. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by the staff. The front desk team was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and even the staff who helped us with our luggage made us feel right at home. The location is absolutely perfect—just under a five-minute walk to the Basilica of Saint Francis, right in the center of the town. Everything in Assisi was easily accessible on foot, which made our days feel both relaxed and magical. Our room had a breathtaking view that we will never forget. Waking up each morning to the sight of the hills and rooftops of this sacred town, birds fluttering through the sky like dancers, and the sound of church bells ringing, everything was truly special, It exceeded all expectations. Dinner in hotel restaurant was a VERY prolonged experience probably because of large tour groups. It was our mistake for not anticipating slow service having seen the tour groups, and we’ll not make that mistake again in a hotel. We’ve been in Italy for over a week and have eaten at a number of restaurants with a pace in our meal that could be adjusted to our desires. Not so here. However, the hotel is quite lovely, our room superb, and the view fantastic.

In need of a full refurbishment. Rooms very basic, scuff marks on the walls , no wardrobes, no drawers , no fridge. Nothing in the room said 4* more like 2-3* breakfast very poor overcooked eggs and bad service. Had to clear our table ourselves to sit at it. On a positive your reception staff were lovely and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances.

Hotel molto comodo perché dentro la zona pedonale e tuttavia accessibile con l'auto se si prenota il parcheggio insieme alla camera. Panorama veramente bello specialmente dalla sala bar e dal ristorante. Il menù ristorante non offre molta varietà ma soprattutto i prezzi sono troppo alti rispetto alla qualità della cucina, vino e servizio sono invece adeguati.

The concierge at the front desk took such good care of us! They had our car ready and packed up when we had to check out at 6:00am! And the night before, when we were walking up the hill to get to our dinner reservations...the concierge saw us and gave us a ride. And the breakfast buffet is incredible. Assisi is pretty magical.
