The staff were wonderful and the breakfast buffet was amazing. I would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion would be better signage to indicate where to leave the car for the valet-it was confusing.

The pool is great for when midday is too hot to explore the city. Dining, pool, and housekeeping staff are kind, though front desk/receptionist not so much. There was a wedding reception one of the nights during our stay and since our room was just above the banquet hall, it was a bit noisy. The tub/shower configuration isn't ideal and leads to very wet floors but is manageable. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Beautiful hotel very centrally located and very easy to walk to centre of town. Room was perfect and very spacious and comfortable with a small balcony looking out to sea and Etna on the side of the hotel. Fabulous large swimming pool and although a short stroll down several steps it’s a stunning walk and beautiful views from the loungers.Breakfast was amazing and lovely room to eat in with lots of space to get s good table. All staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

Ett riktigt bra hotell ett stenkast från citykärnan med stor pool, fina rum och bra service. Magisk utsikt! Lunchen vid poolen är bra, men hotell frukosten var en liten besvikelse då vi tyckte utbudet var lite sisådär. Poolområdet är fantastiskt, bra utsikt, fin bar, bra restaurang och fina toaletter och utomhusduschar. Tyvärr var det väldigt mycket getingar under luncherna som stör när man ska äta. Men vi är väldigt nöjda overall, och kan starkt rekommendera detta hotell för boende i Taormina.

Stunning We nearly never booked this hotel based on some reviews and the pics made it look a little dated. I’m so glad we did. It’s not dated, it’s classic, it’s grand and magical. The grounds to the pool are stunning, the pool makes you feel you are chilling by a millionaires house, not a hotel. The location couldn’t be better, everything is close by and walkable. We didn’t even go to the beach, as the pool was too nice to leave.

A grand hotel in a great location. Interior slightly sparse and dated but clean and mostly functional. Only meaningful complaint is WiFi in the rooms is non-existant - works fine in the lobby, but not at all in the room. Very inconvenient. Breakfast buffet is excellent. The lower gardens are beautiful, well-maintained, have spectacular views and relaxing - absolutely do not miss them!

L’hotel è facile da raggiungere ma scomodo una volta arrivati. La piscina è immersa nel verde e con una bella vista ma raggiungerla è veramente pesante con il caldo! La struttura è datata ….. cambierei la tappezzeria …. I letti e il bagno anni 50!… storico non vuol dire rimanere vecchi!!! Tutto il personale veramente gentile ed efficiente ma con una bambina piccola potevano avere la cortesia di farci lasciare la macchina lì davanti visto che dovevamo rimanere solo una notte! Ottima la colazione

It is an old charm hotel, in an excellent location. The room was spacious and the balcony offered amazing views. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty to choose from. However we had some reservations regarding the room. There weren't enough power outlets to charge the phones, the tv was very small, and the shower/bath wasn't sealed well. Having said all that, we would love to have the opportunity to come back and stay there.

Hotel splendido posizionato all'ingresso del centro storico di Taormina, con veduta da favola.. colazione splendida, pulizia in ogni suo angolo e soprattutto massima cordialità del personale alla reception... Sottolineo la gentilezza di una ragazza della hall di Palermo che è stata gentile e professionale nel darci tutte le indicazioni in merito al ns soggiorno... Unica pecca per la struttura ci vorrebbe un rinnovo delle luci delle stanze.

Room was clean, rather spartan with a view of an area with discarded furnace and trash. Staff was very nice, with the exception of the man in the breakfast room who refused to let my wife fill her travel cup with water. Really! So we filled two glasses with water and poured it in the cup. Parking not quite as advertised, difficult access to the hotel and they valet your car to a garage. Excellent location but I think we will book elsewhere when we return.

La stanza non era sicuramente una superior e diversa da quella pubblicizzata in foto. Il bagno era estremamente piccolo e difficoltoso da utilizzare; veramente indecente! Le pareti della stanza presentavo segni di sporcizia su più punti. Sulla testata del letto era presente un piccolo lume sgangherato e traballante che il personale non è risuscito a riparare. Era presente un piccolo televisore tanto per poter dire che era presente! Sicuramente una grande delusione e un costo esagerato, quello pagato, per quello che ho trovato. Peccato, perché l'edificio esterno è uno splendido palazzo e l'ubicazione strategica per vivere la città.

Air conditioning was very dated and seemed pretty weak- and it wasn’t that hot when we stayed there in early October. Also TVs were small for room size and the streaming services didn’t really work effectively because of limitations of the WiFi system. The location is excellent. The staff are excellent, very helpful and welcoming. View of Etna sunrise and sunset, with cocktails (Taormina) should not be missed. Hotel has old school charm. Room was comfortable with great views. Breakfast is very good with a wide choice of food.

We loved the property and the garden/pool area. The breakfast was great. The front desk staff treated us as third class citizens, it started with the looking up of our reservation when they acted with distain to us having used a booking service and seemed to look down their noses at our casual dress as they have a lot of conference types. We were af the end of 6 weeks of travel and dress casually. We could afford to stay in their best room for 6 months but that is not our style. I would like to see Mark Zuckleberg check in !!!!!

Bad om et værelse med udsigt, og fik et lille mørkt værelse med udsigt til en udbrændt gammel bus, som af uforklarlige årsager var endt i den kløft jeg fik udsigt til, ligesom en brugt gammel madras var landet samme sted, og en masse skrald som lå på bagsiden af hotellet, som værelset vendte ud mod. Fik at vide i receptionen at det var et standard værelse, da jeg bad om at blive flyttet til et andet værelse. Det samme forsøgte min ven som fik et lign værelse, bare lige under mig. Det kunne ikke lade sig gøre. Fik at vide i receptionen at det var et standard værelse, men på hjemmesiden fremgik denne værelsestype eller udsigt ikke. Værelset var rent og der var et fantastisk poolområde, hvor der også var en fin service. Betjeningen var alle steder, på nær poolområdet, uden et eneste smil eller venlighed. Mødte ikke rengøringspersonalet, men de gjorde arbejdet godt. Det virkede til at være et dårligt arbejdsmiljø på stedet.

The Excelsior Palace is outstanding. Beautiful hotel in the heart of Taormina with a huge pool overlooking the Sea. Rooms are updated and very comfortable, many facing the beautiful Mount Etna. Delicious breakfast buffet with accommodating staff. Bar/cafe at the pool is perfect for a cocktail and salad or piadina while floating in the pool. I’ve stayed here three times and cannot wait to return!

Bedårande utsikt o ett lugn på hotellområdet. Fantastiskt poolområde. Frukosten inledningsvis lätt att uppfatta som lite ’klen’ men med nyfikenhet på det italienska växte frukosten för varje morgon. Ricottaost, färska grönsaker, frukt, salami o olika ostar. Ett gediget kakbord med italienska kakor i stort utbud. Saknade god espresso men tog det på poolområdet istället senare mot avgift. Hotellet fixade dur transfer sedan till flygplatsen men det tyckte dottern var spännande när chauffören hade kostym o fin bil.
