Key West Inn - Boaz

Our experience was fair. On check in day there was a typo on our cc information. The hotel called demanding we come in right now to check in or they were going to give our room away. I explained to the lady we were in the middle of playing a ball game, but would be there to please hold our room. She demanded I give them credit card information, I told her I was not comfortable doing this over the telephone. When I asked her to give me reasonable information (hotels.com confirmation number) before sharing my cc information over the phone, she could not give me any information that matched mine. She then hung up on me. Once we were finally checked in, when we arrived the air in our room was turned off and it was about 90 in our room and took well over an hour to cool off to a reasonable temp. They only provided two towels for 4 guests for a 2 night stay, we had to go retrieve more towels and washcloths. On check out day, the electricity shut off about 9am, we had to take cold showers and get ready in a very dark room. We were offered no discounts or compensation for being unable to get ready properly. I did not have high expectations for this stay, but service was much worse than I anticipated.

Convenient location, quiet and safe. Friendly staff. Room was clean. New bedding, mattresses and pillows. Coffee, microwave and fridge all in room. Only drawbacks were ice machine was not in service, nor was the guest laundry.

Was horrible! Roaches galore! Dirty sheets! Party at picnic tables below us all 3 nights! Management did nothing, beer bottles all over in that area in the morning. First room we were in didn't have heat, second room had luke warm water. Do not recommend at all!!!

Room was reserved for a short nap and unfortunately a shower. Management can't control city water off but 3 hrs after return of pressure still no hot water. All and all they did their best.

Decent enough but a little high priced for its current condition. Bar lock on the door was broken so barred it with the chair. It was clean enough, no bugs that i saw, but could definitely be cleaner.

This is an older facility. It is not on par with national or world wide chain accommodations. My wife and I wanted a clean and safe place to stay. The facility is in the process of being renovated. The owners realize that much work is needed to bring the facility back to it's former glory. The room in which we stayed had been remodeled with new flooring, new furniture, new bedding and new paint. The other rooms we saw as we walked by had similar appearance. The outside of the facility was being prepped for new paint. For the price, the room met our needs. If you keep in mind that this is a work in progress, you should find this facility acceptable. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Rooms were tidy, but not extremely clean. Area behind toilet was dirty and floors weren't cleaned (even dust mopped) daily. Coffee pot was dirty and missing the tray for the coffee...this was replaced when requested but coffee and cups were not restocked. Rooms appeared to be recently renovated but the care put into caring fir the facility and customers was lacking.

The room was clean and updated and beds comfortable. The people smoking weed next door though were kind of annoying and I could smell it even in my room. Otherwise, the stay was decent.

Located conveniently close to the Gore Creek wedding venue. Staff is pleasant. Parking lot well lit. Room was clean. I have zero complaints really.

Hotel is older but very clean room. No frills. If you need somewhere to sleep you will be happy. Only complaint was bed was hard. But with that being said i like a soft bed.

It’s in a safe area so I wasn’t all that worried anyways. The overall room was a 9/10 on cleanliness. Beds are a little stiff but overall comfy. I was a little weary of how nice and clean everything would be considering it was pretty cheap, but it was better than I expected. I would stay here again!

This property was horrible, the front desk was incredibly rude, the room was filthy and smelled like an ashtray. Nothing in the room worked and the ac unit was so loud i couldn't talk over it. I asked for another room and was denied, also asked for a refund, and was denied as well. Tried to contact Hotels.com for a refund, and was kept on hold for 2 hours. I had to leave the property and sleep somewhere else. Stay somewhere else if you're in town. I spent $85 for absolutely nothing.

The owners realize that much work is needed to bring the facility back to it's former glory. The room in which we stayed had been remodeled with new flooring, new furniture, new bedding and new paint. The other rooms we saw as we walked by had similar appearance. The outside of the facility was being prepped for new paint. For the price, the room met our needs. If you keep in mind that this is a work in progress, you should find this facility acceptable. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

The room was hot. The AC wasn’t on when I arrived. The refrigerator was smelly. The refrigerator was not on.

The place was semi clean . Only had 2 towels in room . The air was not on when we got there and the fridge was turned off also . The bathroom door would not shut because the the top hinge was broke . Wasn’t the worst place but definitely not the best

The beds were pretty comfy and the staff were pretty nice and friendly too!

I stayed a week at the property. I have no complaints. The staff supplied all our needs on a daily basis. Everything was clean and will be staying there if we ever need accommodations. Thank you Key West Inn!!
