Holiday Inn Express Fairhope - Point Clear by IHG

Room was clean. Air worked great. breakfast was wet good

My wife and checked in about 3 pm Friday and unpackèd we left the room and came back about 11 pm . We went to bed about 11:15 and noticed the pillowcases did not smell clean it was almost a sweaty smell.Due to the latenesso th hour I didn't call anyone that complain until the next morning.When I got out of the shower appx 7am It smelled like our room had been smoked in or very close to our room.I reported it to the front desk about 8:30 am Saturday and and told them we would be back between 12 noon and 1pm we would like everything taken care of because we would have to get ready for a wedding that afternoon. The Hotel rep didn't see to concerned.even when I told him we were having to transfer our clothes back to our car to avoid getting a nicotine smell to them.It was so inconvenient and the room was sprayed with something like Lysol to mask the nicotine odor. It appeared to last about an hour and the odor was back again. No one ever checked on us to see if we we.satisfied with the room after we çompained.We checked out of our room about 745 am this morning I called the front desk to let them know we were checking out and were dissatisfied with everything that happened. Their were no apologies offered nor a reduction price for the room we stayed in. Holiday Inn Express nearly ruined our trip.We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express.several times and used Hotels.com severaltimes but we were so disappointed with both we will probably never use either.again.

Actually did not stay here after seeing the room. The smell in the room was awful and there was no window to open. Tried another room and it was the same. It is like a college dorm roon, what a dump!

Room was big, very clean. Smelled a little musty. We were in the back building on the first floor. We heard all of the footsteps and running above our room. Digital TV didn’t carry Fox News. Breakfast was just ok.

The room was clean, but smaller than I thought it would be. The bed was comfortable and smelled fresh and there was plenty of storage.
