Wingate by Wyndham Montgomery East I-85

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay. The room and bathroom were very spacious and we also enjoyed the comfortable beds. Additionally, the pool area was fun and very quiet and the view of the lake was an added unexpected bonus. As a cherry on top, the property is located very close to multiple dining options. We will definitely be returning.

The pool was close. The room wasn’t ready at 5 o’clock. We’re supposed to be ready for three the gym, the air conditioner didn’t work and the TV did not work in the gym in the breakfast was cold.

Staff was good hotel looked ok room was ok a little out dated but not too bad but main thing was the pool was out of service and my kids really wanted to go in. That was a major influence in making us change our minds and not staying

The property is a little noisy being close to Eastern Blvd. However, it has a nice little pond in the back that is quite pleasant. The breakfast area is quite clean and bright with a decent breakfast buffet. The property is showing its age a bit. I clean when I enter a hotel room and this was OK. What I thought was a dirty area was actually rust on a light fixture. The microwave needed cleaning to use it which I did. Overall, this is a good rental - not great.

They had a good patio area. You could cookout which is nice

Very nice hotel and accommodations! Service was great and the parking lot was well lit and monitored! Very good location!

Probably need more handicap parking near the front door. It was only two and they were taken and I have a child in a wheelchair and it was hard to deal with her and parking at times.

Beautiful pond behind hotel. Staff super friendly and willing to help. The complimentary breakfast was decent and coffee was fantastic!

The Front Desk Clerk was friendly, courteous, professional, and helpful. The lobby was nice and clean. The fitness center was well equipped.

The room was filthy, and smelled. Face plate for the A/c unit was hanging off and was dirty. Carpet was dirty too. Pool was filthy, had some sort of scum floating on top. The front desk people were nice, felt sorry they had to work at such a sub par property.

The room was not clean. The bath room wash cloths and towels were clearly dirty. There was hair on the sheets and pillows. There was a brown stain on the comforter seen when you turn the bed down. The room air unit buttons were very sticky to the touch. The phone to reach the front desk did not work. I had to connect the TV cords myself because they were very loose to the point of NO reception. There was no light bulb in the lamp. The WiFi is way to slow for use. There was maybe 10 pieces of facial tissue in the bathroom and a fight between staff members took place on my floor near the elevators preventing me from leaving out to attend an event. The only saving grace was Wr were moved to a new room. But we did not use their washcloths or towels. We went to buy our own. We will bring our own things in future travels.

I liked the cleanliness and the complimentary breakfast. The property is not too easy to find.

The property is old and the carpet in the hallways shows it. From dirt to bleach stains, they have it. The room smelled clean, but upon inspection of the bed I found hair, and stains on the pillow cases and sheets. There was a throw blanket awkwardly positioned on the bed. When I removed it I saw where the duvet seemed to have been shredded and torn. I called down and asked for housekeeping to change the bedding and was told they wouldn't be back till Monday (it was Friday). I was offered a new room. Next room again had ripped, stained sheets. Asked for new bedding and was told they had to see if they had any and to check back later. Went down about half an hour later only to be given more thin, worn out stained sheets!!! We left the hotel after that. Didnt even stay the night. I was told I had to contact the third party site for a refund. Working on it... Definitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place!

The hotel is showing its age and is in serious need of renovation. The carpets and bathroom are noticeably worn and stained, which gives the space an overall impression of being unclean. That said, the bed was surprisingly comfortable, which made for a decent night’s sleep despite the surroundings.

The water was cold When got ready to take shower.had to run water for awhile to try and warm up. Carpet was nasty and stained.

There was a moldy mildew smell and a water stain in the ceiling of room 215. The shower handle fell off when attempting to use. The carpet needs to be replaced because it was filthy.

The sheets were dirty and there were a lot of bugs and ants in the room. We were able to change to a different room and encountered the same problems.

In terms of cleanliness they missed the mark. Several of my family members had to change rooms due to things like the strong smell of mildew, dirty linen, finger/toenails found in the bed in 3 different rooms. I went to purchase disinfectant, towels and sheets from target in order to be able to sleep somewhat comfortably. However common areas appeared to be clean. Upper management not very friendly.

Bed too high for someone who is 4’ 11” tall!

It’s a dated property, but our room was clean (thank you housekeeping team) and the BED AND PILLOWS were some of the best I’ve slept in. I actually rested. It was quiet and the folks at check in and housekeeping were friendly.

I enjoyed my stay at Wingate by Wyndham. My room was clean. Everything in the room worked. My only disappointment was the limited TV channels.

I liked there was a very good restaurant with a bar in front of the hotel that was well within walking distance for anyone. The only downside I had was no usb charging options in the room. A/c and fridge were cold.

Beds in good condition, but age is catching up with it.

The room was fine but the bed gave me a backache and the floors in the hallway were horrible with large holes in the carpet.

Close to the interstate, gas, restaurants. The hot food items were cold. The only TV in the breakfast area was on Asian channel with Asian captions. The room was comfortable. The hotel rooms need updating.

The hallway carpet was stained and had an unpleasant smell. The mattress needed replacing -sagged in the middle and the head was lower than the feet. The sheets were so worn they was a hole and the edges were frayed! Very uncomfortable nights sleep!

The staff was friendly. Our room was quiet and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and we had a nice view of the lake from our room and from the breakfast area. We were very pleased with our stay.

The one reason for staying a night at a hotel when traveling, is a good nights sleep. The mattress in this room was awful. It felt like sleeping on a bad futon. It sunk in the middle and was higher at the bottom than at the top. I slept with my head at the foot of the bed.

The front staff and management were very helpful. The front breakfast area was very clean. I had a large group with me and the management was very kind in allowing me to have my team eat their dinner in the large breakfast area...We will be returning next year.

The desk clerk greeted me by name when i arrived and check in was very easy

The housekeepers were the best. They were very nice and was concerned if we needed anything. I would definitely stay again when in Montgomery , Alabama.

Check in went very well. Our host checked us in quickly and personally checked to make sure our room was ready and clean. He was extremely busy but was so polite and funny. He is a credit to your business and a wonderful asset. His customer service skills are the best i have seen on our trip. Our room is perfect, clean, and stocked. Thank you for a great relaxing night. And a special thank you to our host. He deserves high praise specially with how busy you all were.

We arrived and the keys we were given didn't work in the door. After going back to the lobby the second time, I told the front desk person that the keys still didn't work. He said, well, they work down here. I told him that it was 12:30am and I just wanted a room. I didn't want to argue with him. He told me that I had a room and started giving me major attitude. I asked him why he was talking to me like that and he said it was because I said it was his fault. I had never thought or said it was his fault. He left and came back 5 mins later and said that the room was opened. I thought he was saying that he was able to get the room open with the keys. Nope. We got to our room and he had propped the room open with the latch from the door keeping it open. Didn't like his attitude or his solution because we were going to have to ask him to open the door for us every time we left the hotel room. The hotel was run down, there were stains everywhere. The beds were clean but very basic. We paid $182 to stay there and at most it was a $100 a night hotel. I won't stay there again. Also, the area around the hotel was run down looking and not nice. But, the person working the front desk totally ruined the experience for us.

The hotel was quiet but I believe there was low occupancy when we were there. However, even though I had checked in online the day before we had to wait 7-10 minutes to get our room key because someone had to check to see if the room was ready. We arrived exactly when I had indicated we would so I was puzzled by that. When we went to check out we had to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk which was frustrating. The breakfast was also pretty bland. I’m not sure this is a place we will likely stay again even though we are in Montgomery a few times a year.

Wonderful staff

There was ALWAYS someone at the front desk, and everyone was very friendly. The room was comfortable, but the bed was a bit high for our liking. Didn't really enjoy the 3 tiny pillows on the bed, but i had a most excellent sleep for a hotel. Was very pleased!

Rude staff, no one at the front desk for check-in for 15 minutes and 3 other guests were waiting also. This pla e has definitely went down hill. I will have to find a different hotel to stay at when I visit my family.

The front desk staff did not know about the digital identification card “The Real I.D.” From the state of Maryland and said she could not accept it for check in. Then she called someone to ask if they could accept it. Of course I could only her one side of the conversation. She demanded I swipe an actual credit card as if they could not accept Apple Pay all of which had my government name on them— the reservation from Expedia, the real ID and my Apple Pay. Needless to say at 11pm at night I was tired and frustrated. I’m not sure who the second woman at the desk with her was but she had her face all balled up looking me up and down which was very rude, embarrassing and unnecessary. I travel on US government business all the time so I had my physical copy of my government issued Common Access Card and asked if she wanted to see it and she refused it. In the end common sense prevailed after she demanded I produced a hard copy of my credit card only for me to see that the credit card machine accepted was digital payment and a hard copy of the card was not needed. Had I been told digital identification and payment were not accepted at the time I made the reservation online I would have had it available. But digital identification and payment is the way all businesses are going now and I use them all the time. Their staff should be trained in there use and acceptance.

The hotel was a good choice for us close to I-10 that helped us get back on the road in the morning. We would stay there again.

The property was in a convenient spot as were were passing through. There are a ton of dining options around the hotel as well.

Older hotel but clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and we were very comfortable. Location was great for quick hops to the city center and also a pleasant walk to the museum of fine art.

I loved the fact that the property is in an area where there are plenty of restaurants and retail stores. Also that it was tucked away from the main highway and access roads. There wasn't a lot of traffic noise heard from my room. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff member in charge of breakfast was not very friendly. I would suggest that she be coached or have someone else with a friendlier demanor be placed in charge of breakfast. The breakfast could be improved upon. Some of the food was noticeably old and leftover. The coffee which is normally made svailable to guests all day was not. As a matter of fact, I was concerned that it was not being refreshed and leftover from the previous day as well. If these improvements are made, you could definitely get 5 stars.

Property is centered not far from popular places.

The neighborhood was a little sketchy. We picked this hotel because we were pulling a long trailer. It was a little difficult to find, even with navigation. Breakfast was underwhelming. Not bad, just nothing special. The bed was comfortable, but the vinyl floor was sticky, the paint was peeling off of the shower surround and the tv acted weird.

Front desk staff super friendly. Nothing super fancy but very Quiet and clean. Breakfast had lots of variety. Located within 10 minutes of anywhere we wanted to go. Felt safe. Would definitely stay here again. No negatives at all from our 2 day stay.

Best Wingate that we’ve stayed in! Room was large, clean & comfy. Breakfast included lots of healthy options & area was bright & clean. The laundry & fitness center were also great. Best of all was the friendly & helpful staff including the front desk, breakfast area & housekeeping. Thanks to all!

Very clean and nice staff. Great breakfast

It was a damp smell throughout the hallway. The breakfast taste as if it had been warmed up from another day and not freshly cooked.

The gentleman who checked us in was extremely friendly. This hotel is a frequent one night stop for us on the way to the coast. It’s no frills, but it’s clean, convenient to many restaurants, and has a fantastic breakfast buffet.

2 sets of towels were not sufficient for 2 people upon check in. Breakfast biscuits hard, hash browns overcooked, sausage patties hard around the edges and tasted old.

Good location for visiting family, shopping and restaurants. Easy access to downtown. Good clean hotel with friendly staff. Very nice lobby area with very good continental breakfast—plenty of delicious coffee, teas, juice, and fruit. Nice renovation—almost looks new—very clean.

Everything was okay, except for the breakfast. The biscuit and gravy had some type of weird taste to it, like a medicine taste. The (powdered) eggs were too thick and hard. Unfortunately, something in the breakfast caused my wife to become ill an hour or so after eating. So, of course, we didn't go back the next 2 days.

Behind the times! There was no streaming service and the breakfast was not very desirable! I will not be returning to another Wingate!
