They are doing a renovation so things were a little disruptable. We were stuck in the elevator so after that we took the stairs up and down from 3rd floor.

Front desk staff was very friendly and professional. Love the convenience and easy on, easy off the highway location with privacy and no road noise, great hotel for pets and pet areas for walking and potting, and room was spacious plus had kitchen area which was also a nice bonus. Also great that they provide free cold sodas when you check in which feels very welcoming! One issue this time was security latch on room door (not dead bolt) wasn’t working and got jammed when we tried using it so had to leave this unlatched at night which wasn’t ideal. The hotel is also older and although the rooms and hallway are in the process of renovation, we don’t see much progress over the past few months beyond just a wallpaper upgrade. Overall we do love staying here though - it’s a great value and feels very safe for us and our pets - but it will be good when they finish the updates to make things look better than just average in terms of the property and interior spaces.

It was out from Birmingham, AL, not far from I-20, good price, being renovated, nice size rooms, and friendly staff. The room had everything, very nice soap, shampoo and conditioner. The shower had great water pressure. We did not stay for breakfast but the dinning area seemed nice enough and we grabbed a few things heading out. Elevators, ice machines, washer/dryer, workout room, are all functional. They even offered some free complimentary drinks and snacks. It was a very good stay and we marked it for a return trip. Hopefully they will have finished more updates. It's nice, clean, just needs a little more polish. I can see why it is so highly rated. I have a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Greystone Inn hits a sweet spot in a range of hotel choices. Their modest prices and "close enough" proximity to Tuscaloosa, make it an excellent place to stay. The accommodations are not luxurious but clean and comfortable. The breakfast isn't hot but offers a variety. The exercise room is small with limited equipment but sufficient for my needs. I was comfortable without having to break the bank. What really made Greystone stand out were the people. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I especially want to give props to Venecia and Shay, the evening desk staff. They especially approachable and fun to talk to. V even remembered my name, a pleasant surprise. If you want a swimming pool, you're out of luck. If want eggs and bacon, too bad. If you want a mint on your pillow, book the Ritz. If you want a nice, quiet place to stay with friendly staff and don't mind a 20 minute drive, this is your spot.

GREAT little gem! We were expecting a Motel 6 type hotel for the $89 price. Instead we got a wonderful hotel with a huge room, full kitchenette, large bathroom with toiletries included, large living area in the room, two queen beds, free breakfast and super nice staff! Will te immensely to everyone!

The room furniture and carpets were stained, the bathroom fixtures leaked, and there were too many ants to count. I notified the front desk about the ants, and got a can of ant spray. Looking back I should have asked for another room, but I’m not sure that would have helped

This property was horrific. Felt unsafe. The rooms were ssturated in cigarette smoke! It was too late to change rooms due to our late arrival. Other customers leaving mentioned the same issues we had at the front desk. Today, my husband and I have been coughing with irritated throats after sleeping in that awful room all night.

We stayed 2 nights. There were small ants in our bathroom that we noticed the morning after our first night. Informed the desk on our way out for the game. There were no other rooms to move us to at the time, but they told us maintenance would spray the bathroom. When we arrived back late at night, no one had sprayed. We were too tired to change rooms at that point. Informed the front desk at checkout and they said that the maintenance person didn’t show up last night. They apologized but no offer to do anything further. Staff is very nice otherwise. This is an inexpensive hotel, so I’m not expecting Ritz Carlton, and I understand that bugs happen….but they should have preemptively offered us another room.

The staff were very friendly and we slept great. Rooms were really outdated and the room was not very clean, there was dust on the fridge and the carpet was not vacuumed well. The bathroom fan did not work and at times neither did the lights. The shower was powerful, but the tub was tall, making it hard to get into the shower, and was really old and needed deep cleaned as it was a whirlpool tub and you can see dirt in it.

I was in a room with two queen beds. The room is kind of L shaped. They have cuts for an extra $10. This was super convenient for my party if 4 and allowing teenagers to have their own beds. The room was spacious.

Room was spacious. They have complimentary soda,water, and crackers in the room which was a nice change. Breakfast was ok. Continental with microwaveable sausage pancake on a stick and hot-pocket egg-cheese. Wi-fi was weak on 2nd floor. Overall a good stay for our trip

Hotel was nice if a little dated. Room was clean. Lights shining on the building were RIDICULOUS. Why do they have to be so bright ALL NIGHT LONG. No way to shut it out of the room. Woke up many times thinking it was morning.

Everything was fine except your King Size Bed. One 0ld Mattress on top of whatever it was on. Didn't see any box springs under old mattress. Couldn't sleep very well. Bed hard with only 1 mattress and nothing under it. My back still hurting. Room 315

Check in was great. Free snacks were offered. When trying to get in to the door, it was jammed. We had to literally force ourselves in. You can tell by the condition of the door that others do as well. You cannot get inside otherwise unless someone is inside. Let front desk know and was told they were aware. Was in a room next to someone who kept thwir TV at max volume all night. Called front desk multiple times with no response. Positives: room is spacious, breakfast was good. Not sure why this hotel is scored so high. Room was cheap so i guess this comes with the price. Rooms are very outdated and you can feel soft spots.

Continental breakfast was what you would expect with cereal, bagels/toast, yogurt, fruit, and some pop in the microwave options. Don't expect full hot breakfast items. Would have been perfect except for needed another trashcan in room besides the small one in bathroom and had to ask for extra pillows twice. Will definitely stay here again!

A great stop on the road for games at University of Alabama. Within 20 minutes to Tuscaloosa and easy to and from. Complimentary water and a couple of choices, at check-in and a nice size L shaped room with fridge & coffee. Friendly staff, clean and comfy bed!

It was difficult finding anything to eat in the area. Not the hotel's fault, but travelers should be prepared to bring something to eat with you for your stay, or be prepared for a drive. Great suit, good amenities.

Location is right off the freeway. There isn't really any restaurants around. They provide a fair free breakfast. In the evening they offer free fresh hot cookies and all day long the have two types of cold soda in a can and water free . Rooms a spacious and clean nothing fancy but their rooms are clean and comfortable

Whoever owns it is refurbishing the hotel and are doing it very nicely. The rooms were very nice everything was perfect! only one blemish on this establishment would be the breakfast could have been better. but they did have gluten free cheerio's! A hot breakfast would have been nice. other than that it was a very pleasant stay.

A no-frills hotel for an on the road quick sleep and back on the road. Saw a billboard prior to getting to the hotel that read “compare us to Hampton Inn”. The breakfast part did not even come close to comparing… breakfast was microwavable hot pockets and jimmy dean sausage wrap. Some fruit and yogurt. Service was friendly. Large parking lot if towing trailers. Area was quiet and appeared to be safe.
