Extended Stay America Suites - Los Angeles - Glendale

The burners in the room did not work, dishes, utensils, pots, and pans were not provided; the room did not have a dishwasher in it, and the noise from the occupants in the adjoining rooms were too loud. A full kitchen with things to cook with and eat on were supposed to have been provided, but were not. Also, the room did not appear to have been cleaned prior to our arrival. We bought Lysol wipes and spray and cleaned it ourselves.

The room had a kitchen but I had to wait a day to get all the kitchen accessories, the room was clean, but the cabinets of the kitchen and bathroom were in poor shape, the beds were so hard, not even a little soft, I woke up with backache every day.

It was not the staff’s fault, this facility has been let go/ignored for far too long. Kitchen not usable due to no running water in sink, no pots/pans or plates/utensils and cabinets & counters in disrepair. Lights at bed, desk and kitchen seat with burnt out bulbs. Bed and bath linens threadbare and well past expiration date! Do not get me started on the bugs/insects I saw! Would have changed hotels but was prepaid through Hotels.com! Highly recommend avoiding this location.

The property is old and really needs to be updated. The beds are uncomfortable and the lobby doesn't even have chairs to sit in. I will say there was one particular employee working when we checked in and she was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for one night at this hotel. We were able to check in an hour early. Once we got to the room we realized there is no working light in the bathroom. We noticed front desk at night when we noticed it and told us there’s nothing they can do about it and said to just wait until the morning. We then told them again the following day at check out and they said they weren’t aware of it. I hope it gets fixed.

Horrible. Everything is old and could see damage on cabinets, fridge, furniture, etc. AC/Heater does NOT work. Mattress are super firm, woke up with body aches every day that we couldn’t wait to leave. And wait, let me tell you, they clean the rooms ONCE A WEEK, yes, if you stay 4-5 days, same 4-5 days that you are on your own. If you need clean towels you must bring them down to the so called “lobby” and place them into the basket, make sure to count them in front of the person in charge, then they will hand you clean towels. Same goes for the toilet paper. Obviously there’s not shampoo unless you go and ask for it. Website states there’s hair drier, there isn’t, my guess is that you also need to go down and ask for it. Not a single chair or anything in the lobby, we had to wait on the “lobby” because our room wasn’t ready and just stood up there. Breakfast is a muffin and coffee, that’s all, not other choice. Employees are nice and friendly but helpless. Oh, also, there isn’t restrooms to use while waiting, is either you hold and wait until you get your room key or go elsewhere. So far is the worst place we’ve ever been, in all the possible ways.

The property was OK, it wasn't horrible but the room was rundown. The room floor was warped in some locations which made me nervous to have us walking on them. The door to the outside of building didn't use a key card.(you could just pull it open) This made my husband uneasy.

There was alot of noise from the street. The kitchen area is really outdated.The refrigerator was really dirty on the outside and had dents all over it. I asked the dront desk if they had an ice machine, the maintenance person who just happen to be in the lobby interupted my conversation with the desk and said you dont need ice you have a refrigerator.

This property is perfectly adequate. However, the rooms lack really basic amenities. No hair dryer, no coffee maker, and not one single hanger in the closet. These places need to do better. Front desk, Addison, was great.

The rooms were a little dirty and the sofa bed in the room was broken. Couldn’t be used at all.

By far the dirtiest hotel I’ve have ever seen. To start off there was a lot of hair on the floor, bedsheets were not clean with hair on the bed and white stains on the bed skirt. The floor was not mopped because it had old stains of coffee and dirt. When I called to come get the room cleaned and complained about the bed not being clean. They offer a discount which is not okay. Then they said we can give you a a different room and then I was told nothing was available. Cleaning lady came in and asked what was going on and she hen i told her the room was beyond dirty she made a face. I had to end up going downstairs to cancel my stay. The level of dirtiness is just not okay and they need to have a talk with their cleaning employees about actually cleaning the rooms and checking the bedsheets. Never booking with this hotel again

Room was dirty and it was not ready when it was time for our check in. We had to wait 2 and a half hours for our room to be ready only for it to be really dirty in there

Terrible. Room was not clean: bobby pins in the rug, extremely soiled bed skirts, hair in the tub, hair on toilet seat, brown substance splattered on bathroom wall.

The hotel looked clean and nice from the outside but the inside was far from it! The room smelled musty and old and was filthy and run down. The bathroom was disgusting and didnt look like it had been cleaned at all. We had to get cleaning supplies and airfresheners to even make it bareable. For the price being $200 per night, definitely not worth it.

Dirty

The room that we were given had roaches. Roaches were in the kitchen area and living room area. My family and I couldn’t sit on the couch as roaches were on that couch. I noticed the outside of the fridge dirty so I grabbed a rag and had to clean it myself. The burners on the stove were dirty as well. I had to wipe them down before using.Kitchen cabinets were falling apart.

The floors in the room were filthy; especially the bathroom. There were bugs in the bathroom and on the counter in the kitchen. (cockroaches and ants) The tub needs to be refinished or replaced.

I drive , over 400 miles from Las Vegas, NV to attend my daughter’s baby shower because all of my family members live in California I was so excited to be able to prepare some food for the baby shower. Upon arriving, the first thing we saw a person smoking marijuana by the front door, which was a very excessive smell Entered to lobby, it looked dirty, walking through the hallway it got worse. When we entered the room it smell so unpleasant, all of the appliances were filthy and disgusting, bathroom was worse, we had to go and get supplies to clean and candles to cover the smell. I had to buy sheets for the bed, cause they were so filthy and slippers to wear in the shower Unfortunately we couldn’t go anywhere else due to, we had no money to stay elsewhere I spoke to the manager Casandra and I also did a complaint to corporate on this situation. The manager did reach out to me on September 11,2025 to inform me that they are going to reimburse me for 1 night, and that it would be refunded back to Expedia I believe it’s through your company. I requested it in writing, but I have not received anything as today

We stayed for 2 nights. It was pleasant, safe, great location. Alot of places in walking distance to eat like restaurants/cafe's. Stores to buy something to drink, snacks and necessities. My downpoints were just walls and floors were thin and we heard and felt like kid(s) running back and forth. Suggest maybe a small 4-8oz coffee maker in rooms. Overall, Stay was nice. We would stay at Extended Stay again in the future. Thanks!

The first impression was the overwhelming odor of marijuana. It was not pleasant at all. Was only staying for one night. No blankets available for the pullout sofa beds and one of the rooms offered difficulty getting the door open. I had to go back to reception where I was told I needed to pull up on the door handle. The other room I reserved opened normally. The lady who checked us in was very nice, friendly and pleasant. Other issues, not the hotel’s fault were many vehicles with modified exhausts speeding up and down the front street outside and I’m assuming close to a fire department due to the numbers of sirens heard.

This property is perfectly adequate. However, the rooms lack really basic amenities. No hair dryer, no coffee maker, and not one single hanger in the closet. These places need to do better. Front desk, Addison, was great.

Guests are loud in the lobby area and laundry room early in the mornings. Walls are thin. Zero free products like shampoo or lotion in rooms. No hair dryer, no coffee maker. Bare bones.

Overall good experience. Kitchen pots and pans were unusable tho; old cut up toxic. The bed also had metal sticking out the end of it for a footboard but stuck out enough that I ran into it a few different times and it cutting my leg. They we are repaving the parking lot while I was here and so for a day or two parking was an inconvenience. Things were worn but overall taken care of. Because it’s an extended stay hotel there isn’t a whole lot of customer service so if you’re looking for that this isn’t the place to come to. It’s more like an apartment and you kind of do it on your own. Breakfast with a little crappy the coffee was water down and it’s basically breakfast bars and muffins. No proteins no milk no yogurt no fruit.

Not even as good as Motel 6 but much more expensive. There are too few front desk staff. We waited in line for more than half an hour to check in. The conditions are under par. Some standard stuff in the room is missing such as cups.

The staff was so nice. Peter was very nice and friendly. There was an issue with our room and they gave us an amazing discount that i didnt expect. Will definitely be back for future visits

Lamont went above and beyond on his customer service he made our stay very welcoming.

My reservation was for May 8th, the person at the front desk told me that I didn’t have a reservation (which I reserved months in advance) l showed her my confirmation from Expedia, then she told me wait,she Went in the back and then told me (oh, Expedia) over booked you and they tried calling you. Which was a lie. I showed her my phone. She also said they had no room, For me and if I want she could check another hotel. She Kept asking me several times (Do you have money?) I Felt offended. I asked her why do you keep asking me if I have money, she replied and said you have to pay for your hotel again, I told her I already paid for my hotel. Why would I have to pay again. With a attitude she said I don’t Want to argue with you, I told her l’m not arguing with you. I repaid for a hotel and you want me to pay again? I got ahold of Expedia, the person told me (Expedia) didn’t Over booked or cancelled your reservation but I would be happy to get you another hotel and you don’t have to pay again. My family and I, have stayed in this hotel for many years a few times a year. Never again! I saw homeless people in the back. And a lot of men hanging around. I was just there in October and now I didn’t feel safe.

My wife and I were visiting LA from out of town for the weekend. So we booked a room through Hotels.com at Extended Stay America Suites Los Angeles Glendale. Received a confirmation email of reservation from them. Upon arrival, I was informed the hotel was overbooked and they had no rooms available. They asked if I had booked the room though a third party in which I did. Not sure what that means, however I left and found another place to stay. Now I am in communication with Hotels.com for a refund because Extended Stay America Suites charged me for the room. Disappointed to say the least.

Most LA hotels are a bit run down and this was no exception. However, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was perfect for our needs.

The staff was very nice- concerned with quality of stay. Our heater was loud when it went on and I advised staff at the end of our stay and they immediately gave a credit to the bill which I did not ask for. The building itself can use an update (as limited as new paint) to make inside look nicer.

I booked a room only to show up and be told they gave it away as they overbooked rooms.

The room was very nice, The reception unmanned until a very nice young woman came out and took care of me. The only worrying thing me were the men hanging around in back, but they turned out to be harmless. All and all, a good value.

Very convenient for my business in that area

We have stayed here before. It is not a luxury experience but clean, worth the price and nice neighborhood. A little bit of a smell in the hallways but the room was fine.

If you’re a smoker and love smelling like an ash tray this place is for you. The bathroom sink, pillow, walls, etc reeks of cigarettes. Not the cleanest. Several fruit flies in the room. They call you at 10:40am to ask why you haven’t checked out. Very unsafe. Man with a mask followed us inside the hotel. Thankfully a guest was in the lobby and left. I wouldn’t book here again.

Closer to everything

Light switch didn't work at the bed desk, but a great deal in a secluded corner of town. Food trucks park on street nearby for meal options.

Friendly accommodating staff. The Continental breakfast isn’t that great but it is some coffee chocolate or tea, oatmeal, breakfast bar or muffin. The room nice because you have a big kitchen so that you can cook and then you have a full-size refrigerator to store your food so if you are looking for a place to stay like home, this is it. Plenty of places to eat and coffee in the area.

I booked 2 nights but the room was not cleaned up in the second night. Towels are not clean. The head shower was very weak that I couldn't wash my hairs properly. The breakfast is very simple but so far it's good.

Free parking and free/simple/good/quick breakfast! However the room is generally dirty.

Have never stayed at a place like this before but I read up before going here. Thought there was a breakfast buffet (simple cereal, pancakes, fruit, etc) but there wasn’t. Only coffee, instant oatmeal, muffins and granola bars. Also, the floor in the room felt sticky and was not very clean. Also, the bathrooms need some touch up around all the caulking areas.

The facility is dog friendly, staff was ok, the room needs some care, the floors were very dirty, cleaningless definitely needs imrprovement, the breakfast do not count with it, it is terrible.

The continental breakfast was horrible. The choices were stale muffins the same thing every morning, The vending machines were broken. The rooms had a smell that was not good.

The Hotel states breakfast included. The breakfast included means a stand with coffee and pastries available for customers to serve themselves. I would not call that serving breakfast.

I found this property as unclean. The trash was not cleaned, perhaps it was still left after the previous guest checked out. The cooktop was not working, i had to struggle with food. Breakfast was only few muffins and few protein bars and coffee.

This property was good from out side but it’s not good inside. Bathrooms are very old fixtures. Doesn’t even have exhaust. I booked room to for 4 people and we hardly could move around. A/c was inside the room and was very noisy. Complementary breakfast was just bars, cereal and coffee. I initially booked for 3 nights later checked out after first night.
