tv didn’t work, pool was closed and dirty, no mention

Everything was excellent with the exceptin of the pool furniture. Most chairs broken and there were only 2 working umbrellas

The elevator takes forever, have to take the stairs. Side Door stays unlock all the time, unsafe

The front desk and housekeepers were very nice and helpful. The building has substantial deferred maintenance. Paint, clean the carpets, wash the windows would be a great help. In addition, the doors to the outside/parking lot are never locked. Anyone could walk in and roam the halls at anytime day or night.

The breakfast was good. Hot tub was not working . I could not believe there was not a microwave nor a refrigerator in the room.

The stay was good. The elevator was out of date and shaky. The ice machines on floor 2 & 5 were out of service. The parking lot needs attebtion.

Hotel had no spa or Jaccuzi working, I am disappointed . Need it to recovery after playing senior baseball tournament. In my fourth straight year at the same hotel during the same time . I’ll think about it if I return next year.

Good experience. Unfortunately pool and spa were closed which I was unaware of until after check-in.

Was a little concerned that one of the side entrances was never locked. Other than that, everything was fine. Oh and jets on the jacuzzi not working.

Very unclean, rooms did not smell good at all and worse when you turned the air con on. Halls, elevator, doors, floors, walls had all kinds of noticeable grime and dirt. The desk chair had stapled fabric as cover for the cushion of the chair.

Its was all very good until the next morning my kids had bed bug bites and i found a bed bug crawling on my pillow. Ewww, we just packed up and left ASAP. Not to mention the elevator broke, i had to climb 5 flights of stare with a 5 and 7 year old. Not fun.

Carpets were filthy, but the rest of the room was fabulous.

Hotel was easy to find in a nice location away from the freeway, so we didn't hear the traffic. Nice and quiet location. The room was very nice and clean except the carpets. The carpets were horribly filthy. My socks will never be the same again. I would recommend cleaning them at least every 6 months. My guess is that they have never been done. If they have, it has been a very, very long time. Other than that, our stay was fantastic.

Had bugs in bathroom

The hotel carpets are very dirty. The rooms need to be more clean there was a piece of waffle next to the bed and night stand. Stairs carpet fillry dirty

Unsecured back door to access elevator, stairwell, and rooms left unlocked and open all day and all night. Hallways, stairwells, and elevator smelled like cigarette smoke. Puddle of urine in the elevator upon arrival. Room was supplied with less than half of a roll of toilet paper upon arrival.

I have stayed at this hotel many years ago and it was good however this time it was not. The only area that looked nice and clean was when I walked in the front door. From there on it went downhill. The elevator looked like it hadn’t been swept in a month. My room had not been vacuumed, the fridge still had items in it from the previous guest, etc. I asked for another room but none was available. I looked at the bedding which I suspected hadn’t been washed but I had traveled all day, I had already paid for my entire stay and I was exhausted so I stayed that night. Normally I would’ve left and found something else. The next morning I was supposed to get a new room but after I made 3-4 phone calls it was decided they would just clean my room. I took all of my things out of the room so they could properly clean it. After it was cleaned one bed had a down cover in between the sheets and bedspread but the other one only had the sheets & bedspread. After getting in the bed after cleaning it was obvious that I had for sure slept on dirty sheets the previous night. I was thoroughly disgusted. I was there for 4 nights, there was a toothpick on the elevator floor for all 4 days. I’m surprised this was a Wyndham property because I traveled a lot for my job and never had any problems. The housekeeping manager and staff should be reprimanded as well as the hotel manager. I will never stay at this hotel again and I would not recommend it to anyone.

There were cockroaches in the room.

Property was in need of some TLC. Door handles, switch plates and some surfaces not clean at all. Paint needing touch-up in and around the rooms. Trash containers around the property were overflowing. Seemed like they weren't emptied for days.

This was a great hotel for the price. Only complaint is there is a slight gap in the room door where you can see the light from the hallway and impacts soundproofing. You could hear a child crying down the hall inside their own room and anyone in the hallway clear as if they were in the room.

Very thin walls. Could hear everything inside and out.

Our stay was nice but the WiFi was horrendous

The rooms were large, spacious, clean and quiet. The king sized bed was very comfortable. We would like to stay again.

The stay was good, the problem was the Wi-fi it was terrible, other than that its clean and neat.

I loved my room and the bed was so comfortable. I rarely can sleep in a hotel, but I slept very well. The only thing that needs attention is the elevators. They are pretty beat up and slow.

I had booked 2 rooms and none of them had a microwave or fridge.

Decent. Literally holes in common area walls with peeling wallpaper. The curtain rod in our room was falling down; the screws had been pulled out of the wall. The bathroom door wouldn’t close because it was hung crooked.

Dear Expedia Customer Support, I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent experience with La Quinta Inn & Suites Mesa West, booked through your platform. I feel strongly that the handling of my reservation and the lack of crucial information on your site resulted in a financial loss and an unacceptable customer experience. On May 25th, I booked a prepaid room at this property through Expedia. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because, unlike other listings, there was no mention of a required security deposit on the booking page. I specifically filtered for hotels that did not have additional fees or deposits clearly stated, as I would not have been able to pay an extra charge upon arrival. However, when I arrived to check in, the front desk staff demanded a $75 deposit. I explained to the employee that not only had I stayed at this hotel before without a deposit being required, but also that this charge was not disclosed anywhere on the Expedia listing. I tried to reason with her, but she was unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to escalate the issue to a supervisor. She refused to assist with canceling the reservation or provide any means of recourse—essentially leaving me stranded without accommodation or a refund. This experience was extremely frustrating, especially considering that the miscommunication originated between your platform and your hotel partner—not from any action or oversight on my part. Im expecting resolution.

Very friendly staff and helpful

We checked in very late, and despite it being midnight the check in staff were very nice and helpful.

The front office manager is the worst front office clerk I’ve ever encountered and I have stayed at several of La Quinta Inn properties in a number of states. She is incompetent, rude, uninformed of front desk etiquettes. She gives the La Quinta brand a bad rep. She should be at the back desk where she is not in contact with guests. She doesn’t know what she’s doing. She lets the phone ring for the longest time then she put me on hold for more than 10 minutes then she hung up on me. Twice! She knows nothing about good customer service that La Quinta promises to deliver to every guest. She doesn’t care. And she didn’t give me her real name on the phone. When I asked for the manager she said she was the manager. The name on the card is not what she told me on the phone. She knew she was incompetent and lazy. She should be demoted. I have stayed at multiple more expensive hotels and I always received excellent service. I will never stay at that La Quinta hotel ever again.

I enjoyed my stay. Some of the building was outdated, but not a big deal. The biggest issue was the elevator which was terribly slow. Besides that great stay. There's a gal who works at the front desk (Lauren I think?) who has amazing customer service and people skills! I would do whatever you can to keep her.

Terrible - Think twice before booking here. I reserved a room through Expedia a week before the Final Four. I was arriving late because I was flying across the country from Alabama to Tuscon and then renting a car to drive to the hotel. I called the hotel directly at 5 pm to let them know I would be a late arrival. They told me as long as I arrived by 2 am, it would be okay. I got to the hotel at 11 pm only to find that they had overbooked and gave my room to someone else (I'm sure at a higher rate). There were 2 other families that came in and had the same thing happen to them (one of them booked through Wyndham, not sure about other one). Both had small children. The staff showed no sympathy and threatened to call the cops for loitering when one lady said they had nowhere to go and was going to come sleep in the lobby. There were zero rooms in Phoenix and I had to drive all the way back to Tuscon to find a hotel at about 3 am local time. No apology, no empathy, no explanation on why they screwed up, only "we can't call anyone because they are asleep"...well, no crap Sherlock, we would all like to get some sleep.

Terrible news experience! I had flown into Phoenix and went to Mesa due to family emergency. My mother had just passed away, I went to check in only to be greeted by a very rude lady at the check-in counter. I presented my confirmation only to be told they did not have my reservation. She insisted that I have another name and asked for a different name 3x, I told her I did not have a different name, that my mother had just passed away within the hour and that I just wanted my room, she stated that I was being rude and disrespectful to her and that she had the right to refuse service to me. She refused to look at my confirmation email or check to see if under my first name. I did not ever get my room!

The front desk double charged me even after I told her I prepaid the stay. Then when I went back down to the desk when I realized it she was very angry when I pointed it out ti her. Not professional at all. I would never stay here again.

Close to everything we were looking to do.

I enjoyed my stay at La Quinta in Mesa, it was a dafe and quiet area. I will book reservations there again soon.

First trip to this area to visit family and was amazed how centrally located it was!! Will definitely stay again for our next visit!

Easy to find and very well kept.

Our stay was comfortable. We also liked the location. When we are in the area again, we will definitely stay again.

Had a wonderful stay, all was clean, room, hotel, breakfast was great. The staff during check in was very pleasant, professional, and accommodating. In the AM, all staff were very pleasant and professional. The bonus here is, that this hotel is PET FRIENDLY! WILL stay again.

Our stay was perfect. Check in was easy & so was our check out. The free hotel breakfast from 6am-9am was awesome as well. Good variety. Took my niece to the pool and it was great. All staff is friendly and very helpful. If I ever come back to Mesa, this will be stay for sure!

Staff was not helpful at all when asked questions. They did not know the answers. The breakfast, by far, was the worst breakfast at a hotel I have ever had. Eggs were cold and flavorless. Few options of anything to eat. The printer available for guests was not working. Evidently you were suppose to email to the hotel whatever you needed printed but there was no sign on the printer letting you know it did not work or what to do. The staff was not able to help us either. The printer needs to be fixed. Pass through doors in rooms were not solid core which led to being able to hear everything that was going on in the next room. Too noisy.

We had a very nice stay at the La Quinta Inn in Mesa, AZ. The room was very nice. The Breakfast was great in the morning, hard boil eggs, fried eggs and waffles. The staff was all very nice and parking was easy

Hotel was just ok. The room was clean on check in, but then had no service the rest of my stay. The elevator area was in rough shape and on the second day of my stay it was out of service for part of the day. Breakfast was meh and on the second morning it was actually cold.

Frankly, I didn’t like anything about this property until I left and it was in my rearview mirror. The continental breakfast was garbage. I have very limited options and dried up, shriveled sausage. The eggs were fake, and the waffles were trash. Customer service was nowhere to be found. They didn’t seem to really care that we needed help. The hotel is old and rundown and filthy. There were rust stains in my tub. The window track was nasty and the carpet – you didn’t wanna walk out it with your bare feet. To be honest, this is one of the worst days I’ve ever had. I don’t think I’ll ever stay at another La Quinta.
