Cedars Resort

We enjoyed our stay at cedars. The view was beautiful and it was walkable to food, shops and things to do. Parking is a little tight but thankful they include it.

The property was very nice. The pool chairs need to be updated. Many were old and ripped

Third trip to Sedona. This is south end of uptown strip but walking distance for anyone in reasonable shape to just about everything. And great starting point for walks. We were on the street side but still had a view out the back. The creekside pool/deck balcony area is incomparable. Wow wow wow! The photos dont lie..may not do justice. Only comments wish were improved in room: There is nowhere in the shower stall to put your toiletries. Could use a shelf and it would be nice to have an elevated foot rest for ladies to shave. There is no microwave in the room (which I get because that can create unpleasant food odors). Microwave and ice are in the lobby but it is not open very late. Otherwise, lovely room and wonderful place.

The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the view from the hot tub and pool area. Conveniently located.

Love this hotel, best pool and view on the creek side. Only downside is there used to be a walking trail leading down to oak Creek and now they have closed that access. Not sure why

Our room was literally 15 feet from the main road. The noise was unbearable. If you plan to get any sleep at all, I would choose a different hotel. Also, it was advertised that the pool was heated, but it was not. I wouldn’t plan to use the pool between October and April.

We love the area around this hotel. It was so convenient for us. And they have an impressive pool with a view. Love it!

Great location and excellent stay! Really nice hot tub and 6ft deep pool. Stained glass windows were cute. Lots of shops and places to eat with amazing scenery.

We had a great time visiting Sedona and this hotel was perfect. The pool and hot tub with the view are unbeatable. Will definitely be back.

The view was great. The rest was okay. We ran out of hot water during a short shower. The website said heated pool and spa, only the spa was heated. Would have been nice for the price if they had offered a continental breakfast. AC was very loud and we were awaken from other guest walking loudly above us. We will choose a different place when we return.

The hotel room was clean and the view was nice but had a really bad infestation of ants on our balcony

I couldn’t shower because the water was backing up and I don’t want someone else’s filth on me when I shower

The room and bathroom we’re basically clean. However, the carpeting was so dirty that the soles of my feet turned black when I walked barefooted. It definitely needed to be cleaned.

Walkable to downtown shopping and many restaurants. Easy parking close to rooms. Beautiful views overlooking Oak Creek from balcony. Comfy beds. Would stay again

The room was dirty. There was no closet space, no safety deposit box. The bathtub was clogged. We were on the first floor, and could hear people on the top of us. Every time the neighbors would take a shower, it felt like thunder in our room, we could hardly sleep. The only great think about the property was the view from the balcony

Blinds were broken. After returning at the front desk they told us that the blinds have been broken for 4 month, and they didn’t get the parts to repair them. So we can’t enjoy the view over oak creek and we couldn’t changed the the receptionist told us so. Very poor service.

Building was dated, bathroom needs updating, and small room. However, cleanliness was excellent, and the view from the balcony was spectacular.

The room was very clean, air conditioning worked well. All interactions with the staff were excellent everyone was very friendly and helpful. The view from the second floor balcony was a highlight. Included parking was very appreciated as we could walk everywhere.

Older hotel with central location. Wish we had upgraded to premium room with better views and further from main road. Road very loud during traffic time.

Would stay here again! Comfortable bed, clean, superb staff, walkable to so many things to do. The canyon view rooms are the best! If you need to work, check and make sure their WiFi is working.

Convenient location. Room 117 has a beautiful canyons view. Weak WiFi, connection on and off.

Avoid ground rooms. We stayed at one of the 130’s rooms and you can hear loud walking noises from above room, but the worst is the loud water noise when someone flushes the toilet or showers at midnight. Very uncomfortable.

I had an interesting room which faced the nearby major road. The parking spaces are literally 20 feet from the road. Road noise was present but not awful. The room had three windows which was nice, including a stained glass window in the bathroom. The sink is located outside the bathroom which could be useful if two people were sharing the room. The shower was very small, given the size of the bathroom; a little head shaking. Plenty of outlets near the bed which was nice. The TV is located right next to the work desk, which is a bit awkward. The room could use a dresser. Nice to have a small fridge and coffee maker.

Bathroom was very small. Shower was so small that you could hardly turn around in it and nowhere to put your shampoo/soap. Room was clean and spacious. Staff was friendly. They said they were going to be renovating, but I wouldn't stay here again if they didn't. Diagram on their site shows access to creek below, but it wasn't there at all. You had to walk a couple blocks down the street. That was the reason I choose this hotel and it was not as shown, very disappointing for that reason. A/C fan wouldn't ever turn off.

Extraordinary balcony view of the Sedona lawn scape. the room is very small and no grab bar in the tub, the door could barely open contacting the toilet seat no microwave in the room.

Cedars Resort is quite old and our room was disappointing. Very small bathroom and tub/shower was beginning to rust out. Sink outside bathroom in bedroom area. It had a very small portable refrigerator, but no microwave. This place really needs updating. We should have moved after the first night. Perhaps the rooms with Mtn views are updated. The lobby are was lovely and staff very pleasant, however.

Lobby is only open from 7am - 10pm and staff is late to work, therefore, there was a line of people waiting in front of the building at 7am to checkout, but no one showed up so we left our keys in the room and called the front desk later to let them know we left.

Super location. We came without a car and was easy access to dining and shopping. Also able to use the Sedona Connect which was running whilst here to access trail heads. Kim the receptionist was super helpful and friendly holding our bags whilst we went out hiking before checkin. She had loads of useful suggestions. Definitely recommend staying here.

The property is great, clean rooms and beautiful views. What made this experience even better was Jason at the front desk. He was so kind, helpful and easy to talk to and we really enjoyed meeting him. I will definitely be back!

I have stayed here every single time i go to Sedona. It’s rare whenever we actually check out at 11. This time around for some reason it was different, around 10 am I call the front office and notify them we were running late and if they had late check out or could charge me for it, they proceed to tell them they don’t have late check out but to just try to hurry. Around 10:50 I’m walking to the front office to turn in my keys as the front office woman comes towards me clearly upset & angry yelling to leave the property that she has already contacted the police and they were on the way. She denies the cards as I’m trying to hand them to her and tells me to hurry up get in my car and shut the door that the “police were on the way for me”, screaming over and over to shut my door and leave. Like I stated we had stayed here several times and it’s rare when we check out before 11, we have never had such a horrible treatment or experience here before. I’m sure race had a lot to do with the treatment we received. We come to sedona to unwind and relax from the city life and to encounter such a horrible experience is so disappointing. Less to say cedars resort has lost us as customers I had always recommend this place to all my friends and family but this is definitely the last time we stayed here. Left Sedona really dissatisfied and disappointed.

The reception staff was not friendly or helpful. They left the reception unattended in the middle of the day. Did not inform me about where the pool and garden was, what the wifi password is or how to get into them. The property has amazing views and it is right in the middle of the town. I would recommend it.

We loved our stay at Cedars! The young lady at the front desk was so kind and helpful. When we got to our room, we were amazed at the gorgeous views from the awesome balcony - red mountains (including Snoopy Rock!), trees, and a babbling brook/ creek! Everything on the main strip was in walking distance and our dinner spot was a quick 7 min drive away. Can't wait to return!

Such a great stay. The staff member at the front desk was so kind, so sweet, and helped us with our room, moving us from a Queen to a King sized bed with an incredible view. This small, quiet hotel is the perfect stay in Sedona- truly a hidden gem from the busy roads and walkable to everything. We loved our stay, and we will definitely be back.

We liked everything about Cedars, but especially, the staff. They couldn't have been friendlier and helpful no matter what we needed. Room was clean & large accommodating all the room we needed. The view from the balcony was to die for. Every morning we would enjoy coffee watching the sun rise. Downside--the walk to Oak Creek was under repair, but we'll get that next time. Thank You Cedars

I called in to let the property know I’ll be checking in early around 2pm. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very rude and unfriendly lady, who asked me to come back at 3pm. I came back at 3:10pm, and she says oh well your room won’t be ready until 4pm. She checked room readiness at 3:55pm while sitting on her butt doing nothing. She let 2 families check in around 3pm before us. The room bed was so old, uncomfortable and caused me back pain while my gf complained about bed bugs. The next morning, we asked for the sheets to be replaced and for fresh towels. We were told by the same rude lady that they’re short staffed and the bed sheets will not be changed. That was at 9am. When we came back at 3pm, 6 hours later, our room was not made up, no sheets, no towels. We had to go out to the hallway and take towels from the cart. The room was never visited by a cleaning staff all day. We were told by a staff member that fresh towels were available at the front desk. Again this goes to show the incompetency and crappy attitude of the front desk lady. A terrible experience, no coffee when you need it in the lobby, old tiny rooms like a motel 6 but at a price of a resort. Take my advice and don’t waste your money to be frustrated bc of incompetent arrogant staff who deserve to be fired on the spot.

Worth staying the valley side not the street - beautiful and quiet!

This property is in the heart of where we wanted to be, at the corner of 89A and 179. Near shopping and dining. It was a little hard to find due to not being familiar with the many roundabouts that have been added to Sedona.

A great hotel in a great location! Loved how easy it was to park at the hotel and walk around uptown Sedona. And the view from our room balcony was superb!

The property is well located BUT is nothing like the website. It is older, small pool, half the rooms are approximately 100ft from the road. No amenities

Pros: Centrally located; great hot tub with amazing views; rooms had nice sliders/balconies with amazing view; clean, comfortable beds and daily housekeeping. Cons: Hotel advertises “snack bar” in lobby. The entire 3 days we were there there wasn’t a single snack to be had and coffee seemed never to be made. Bathroom toilet/shower and sink are separate rooms from each other. Getting into the toilet area is difficult for large people as there’s barely a 1 ft space to maneuver into it. Also no space for private dressing. If you are with people who aren’t family, this may be an issue.

Great place to stay, creekside restaurant is a 1 min walk has amazing food! 10 min walk to the town of Sedona. Our room had a balcony that over looked the beautiful red rocks. Would recommend and would stay again if I’m ever in Sedona again.
