Second stay here. Great location and a great hotel. Close to the ASU campus, shopping, great restaurants and not far from Scottsdale. Parking at this place is a problem, however. That is my only complaint.

Like everyone else said, the outside of the building is not much to look at, but the inside is clean and modern, and most important, the bed is comfy. There are no real amenities here (not even ice), but, pleasantly, there is a hanger to put on your door if you want your room made up. How nice! Also, the location can't be beat--walk to all kinds of food options, shops, ASU. The price is fair. A win.

University Inn provided my son and I with the perfect place to stay in the heart of ASU, while visiting my daughter for Family Weekend. The room was modern, beautiful, and immaculate. The price point was very affordable. The staff were helpful and friendly. I will not hesitate to stay at University Inn again!

The staff are friendly. Mill Avenue is a busy street but I didnt mind the traffic. Rooms are comfy and clean! Renovated. AC is perfect. Room has a small fridge but no microwave. Nice cable stations. Close vicinity to dine and shop. I stayed five nights here. Rooms were cleaned each day. Price was reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was very updated, and I appreciate that there is no carpet flooring. Unfortunately, there were a few hairs on the bedding as well as in the sink which made it seem like it hadn’t been well cleaned in between visits. The front desk was very helpful. The parking lot is small and busy. The surrounding area has a lot of dining options due to proximity to ASU.

This property lived up to previous reviews and photos. The rooms are furnished and decorated well. The shower in particular was especially nice. The property is adjacent ASU so there are loads of dining and entertainment options within a short walk. The rooms might be considered small by today’s standards however all I really need out of business accommodations are that they be clean, secure and relatively quiet. The rate was excellent for Tempe even in the middle of July. I would stay at this property again when visiting Tempe.

Great room. Modern decor and an awesome shower. For the price this room cannot be beat. one minor cons. Traffic noise. One a main street. Maybe one of the rooms near the back of the building would be better.

The room was nicely refurbished and quite comfortable, except for the bed. It looked like it had a king bed frame with 2 twin mattresses - not quite a king bed I reserved (I'm 6' 3" and need the length) and very soft. I kept banging my shins into the frame because the mattresses were so much smaller than the frame. Parking was adequate but very tight. No breakfast service in the morning, so consider this in the price for the stay. There was a little noise from Mill Ave, but did not disturb my sleep. There is no one in the office until 9 am, and I had to leave shortly after 7:30. So I figured out I could only slip my key through the window when I left (would have been nice to be notified if this during check-in).

Convenient, well-cared-for and reasonably priced motel. The beds were comfortable and the staff very friendly. Easy walk to multiple restaurants and shopping. I would stay there again. The only think I did not like was the doors to the bathrooms, which are the sliding, barn-style doors. They did not really close properly.

This is small family run motel that has been nicely renovated. What makes it special is the staff from the owner to all the other staff - they give exceptional customer service. It is rare and wonderful in today’s world to have people really care and are helpful with lovely attitudes. Thank you.

The pictures didn’t match the property, I reserved a suite and got a one room with a closet space for a pull out couch. When I told the front desk clerk he became rude and refused to call the manager after I requested to speak with him. They are refusing to give me a refund and I had to book a different hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone

I had one of the worst hotel experiences at University Inn Tempe. In the middle of the night, staff forced us to leave even though we had done absolutely nothing wrong. The repeated false alarms in the building created a stressful environment, and instead of addressing the faulty system, the staff treated us like we were the problem. To make things worse, they threatened us and showed no professionalism or courtesy. I felt completely disrespected and unsafe. No guest should ever be treated this way. I strongly do not recommend staying here—there are plenty of other places in Tempe where you’ll be treated fairly and actually get the rest and comfort you’re paying for.

University Inn is an older hotel near Arizona St. University. The parking lot was not built for SUVs. College traffic was loud late at night. While there was one very good seafood restaurant, there were not many other options.

The staff was fantastic. The hotel is well kept. It's small and cute. Parking is very tight, which makes sense given the location. And there is considerable road noise, but there's nothing a hotel can do about that. It is terrifically located in a bustling area.

Easy and convenient location to ASU and Mill Avenue. Food and entertainment within walking distance. Only item that can be a bit of a disturbance is the alert-noise from the tram passing by but it can be overlooked for the economy and convenience. I've stayed here many times and the cost and location are the reason I come back.

Great value for such a great location. You can walk 2 blocks into the residential neighborhood right there to a cool oyster joint or the other way several blocks to Snooze AM for great breakfast, and of course a lot of other stuff is near by like CVS within the block.

Very friendly office staff! Room had been recently renovated with nice decor and window shutters. The street traffic was a little noisy on a Friday night but my white noise app covered it up. The best part about this property is it's location in Tempe. It's walking distance from ASU, Rio Salado Park and many restaurants.

Just stayed for a quick overnight to attend a show at Gammage. Very close, and walkable to restaurants for dinner and breakfast. Clean and comfortable.
