The staff gave off a wonderful friendly vibe. There's a pool table and small bar available. It's very close to the university and close to the sunlink streetcar which takes you to the university row of dining and then to the "downtown" area. Be aware that though breakfast is available, it's not complimentary.

Aloft is a good place to stay for a quick business or emergency-like trips. The hotel is a little bit outdated and rooms are clean but they could be cleaner. We stayed for two nights. In our second day of our stay, although we left our belongings organized (as we always do), housekeeping didn't clean our room which we were a bit annoyed by it given that we had a long day and we were expecting to come to room with clean towels (towels need to be on the floor if you want them replaced, which we did) and redo our beds for the next day. Other than that, we really enjoyed their gym and the kids enjoyed the pool.

It was parents week end so prices were high but this is the most expensive I have paid for so little. $500+ a night comfort inn type place. No housekeeping of the room at all, supplies in the room were half empty or used. No hot water first day.

Lobby was nice, but room was dirty, especially the carpet. Also, the headboard and bathroom fixtures showed wear. I also don’t like how dark it is inside the elevators. I’ve stayed here a few times before and it’s gotten worse, so I’m not sure I’ll stay here again.

The shower in our room had hair it. The room had terrible lighting including the bathroom and shower with black tile. This made it hard to see just how dirty it was. The blinds in our room were broken and could not be closed so we called and a woman came and said she could not fix that and maintenance wasn’t there on the weekend so she would contact the manager and let us know. We were never contacted and nobody fixed it in our 3 nights there so we had to be creative to cover the window. Overall for the price, could’ve been better. We would not stay here again.

Comfortable and quiet. Tiles in shower are dangerous. Once they are wet and you are rinsing off shampoo and body wash shower floor tiles a very slippery. Plus no grab bars in shower. I felt unsafe taking a shower.

Mediocre stay – will not return! First time staying at this location, moving daughter into college. This location is further away from the dorms than I liked but close to the sports stadium. The check-in was fine but wish they would have told me that housekeeping is every other day, would have slept in longer. Room was fine, beds were comfortable but found empty beer bottles in the closet. The sliding door in the bathroom was oddly placed as it hits the light switches when shut. Wi-Fi was horrible in the room, had to go in the lobby to use it. Underground parking was a plus as we were there on a weekend that was unusually cold, and the hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood. Asked both front desk staff and bartender for a good Mexican restaurant, both had no clue. Thought that was odd but managed to find a good one on our phone “Mi Nidito”.

The Aloft is ok. It is not far from the university albeit not very close either. It is convenient, with the usual high standard of American hotel rooms - large, well maintained, clean. It is not exceptional in any meaningful way though. Breakfast was not included in my deal - but it looked unappetizing. The Room was good - but it was dark and there was no way to make it have more light - i.e. what lights there were are weak and placed in sections that leave the rest in relative darkness. Staff were very nice and helpful. So overall good - not great.

The staff was very nice. The first room we were in the AC wasn’t working and they moved us right away. They also brought a crib in for our baby which was great. My only complaint is the walls are thin we could hear everything from the halls and other rooms.

This property is convenient to the U of A. There were homeless in the parking lot and around the hotel. If you are traveling alone, I would consider other options. The beds were comfortable but the rooms were not overly clean. Housekeeping every two days.

The aesthetic of the hotel is very pleasing, and the room was clean. Just be aware there is a $10 fee to park at their property which sounds crazy to be charged to park at the place you’re staying at. Also, if you’re staying on the lower floors, you’ll have a lot of traffic noise in the mornings so just have that in mind.

Great location for the University. Everyone was very friendly. Comfortable clean modern rooms. Breakfast to purchase on site, kits of options ( there is an excellent bagel cafe around the corner)
