Clean room and comfy setup

Perfect stay. Stumbled upon this hotel last minute but it turned out to be everything we needed. Clean room, comfortable bed, close to the water for an evening stroll. Good products to clean 48hrs on a train away. Tea, coffee, and a couple snacks to fuel todays train journey. Plus close enough to walk to the Alameda free water taxi to walk to Oakland Jack London train station. We will definitely stay again.

Pictures need up date, there’s no pool. The staff was cold and unfriendly, more like judgmental. As a single woman they gave me a far isolated cornered room with a messed up door and a window with out a screen or secure look facing a parking lot with much night activity. The area is nice and the hotel has lots of character for a good working hotel.

The property is in need of serious renovation and updates. I was disappointed that there were not more amenities. The staff was somewhat responsive but it took a little longer than expected to resolve a few issues. It’s a good location so I hope it will be upgraded.
