Had great time only complaint would be not enough places to get coffee and also there are only two hot tubs available for everyone that stays there and it’s quite a bit so we were unable to use which is disappointing

Property is very convenient if going to parks. It’s very quiet and peaceful. The spa is great but pricey. Valet is convenient but expensive. Didn’t get to enjoy restaurants but they looked nice. Best part is walking onto California Adventure. If you can afford it no doubt worth it. My only gripe is that we were given a disability room. So it was not enjoyable to go to bathroom cause I am over 6 feet tall.

The resort was beautiful. We did not pass the pool but the pool area was really nice. The rooms could probably use a facelift for the price (specifically the couch and carpet) but it was clean and we didn't have any problems. The convenience is unmatched. I would book again in a heartbeat.

Amazing experience!!! Direct entry into the park, friendly staff & the room with multiple amenities. Unfortunately, the parking situation was disappointing, magic morning is only 30 minutes before the park opens and there were a few rides open :(

For the amount of money it costs to stay here, I was disappointed. The rooms don’t live up to the hype. Very run of the mill and similar to a Holiday Inn. The grounds themselves and the lobby are spectacular, but the parking options are horrendous. $70 for valet or you can lug all of your stuff across the street to the end of the parking lot. Most of the days I stayed here, the lot was full so I had to park at Pixar place. Not convenient or close at all. The biggest perk in my opinion is being able to go right into California adventure and being so close to downtown disney.

The staff is amazing! Sweet … smiling …helpful The furniture and carpets and over all wear is showing! The tree outside our window was dead as was a lot of the vegetation. We were excited for our green forest view. But we’re disappointed. The pool was nice but the music sounds like a dentist office or elevator. I understand that is conducive to the theme of the premises. Maybe instrumental Disney classics at the least. People around were commenting on it as well. The pool is a fun outdoor space. It didn’t make feel like you were at a Disney resort.

The pool was fantastic and they let you use it the entire day that you check out. Although the room was expensive for what you got, this feature helped to even out the value of the experience. Of course the price is expensive for the easy in and out to the park, which was very nice.

This property is truly outstanding. Excellent service, immaculate, and thoughtfully designed for families. I love that the "two queen" rooms also have a large day bed. My very tall 15-year-olds slept there without complaint.

While our room was generally nice, we found strands of long hair in the shower (didn’t match our hair and didn’t belong to us). Restaurant staff at the hotel property were all super friendly as were valet. However, reception seemed stressed and short with us. It sort of took the magic and excitement out at the beginning of our weekend vacation. Glad Downtown Disney and the parks made up for it all did not disappoint. Next time, we might just stay at a different property.

Hotel was sub par. Room sink would not drain, toilet was beyond loud, shower door creaked as though it was going to fall off, and the volume on the TV didn’t work. Baby stroller was antiquated & small for our 1 ur old - all this luxury for almost $1k A NIGHT! Plus $65/day VALET!

We had a staycation at the Grand Californian, and it was better than I expected. One issue was that we paid for a Downtown Disney view, but all we could actually see was the tram loading. Our disappointment changed at night when we saw a good portion of the fireworks show, delighting our son who was too tired to stay for fireworks in the park after 12 hours of tearing it up in the heat. The beds were super comfy, the room was clean, and the service staff were all excellent. This might be something we make an annual tradition.

Very worn and needs serious refurbishing- especially for the 5 star price. Service exceptional. Frequent visitor and will stay again. Beds are worse than a 3 star as far as comfort and firmness. Bathroom wallpaper torn, fixtures dilapidated and old. Extreme wear and tear in the carpet. Additionally, we did NOT get the room we booked through this site. We selected a two queen with a trundle bed - they were all reserved for other guests who called the hotel directly 10 days prior. We were given a two queen with a terribly uncomfortable chair bed. For the utility and the service, plus a great pool experience- we will book again. Even if the price doesn’t match the in room product - beware, it’s not even close.

This is a beautiful hotel and the staff is super friendly but for the price I was expecting more. I was traveling with a 5 year old and the noise from the piano and performer (though it sounded great) kept us up late into the night. Be sure and ask about your room location when you check in if you need to get a good night’s sleep or have an early flight.

I didn’t like my room I’m so disappointed. I reserved a room with downtown view and the view was awful not worth it at all. I was so excited to see downtown Disney, which I paid for, and I didn’t get anything close to it. I’m very sad about it 😭

Everything was awesome until check out. When leaving we were trying to get our bags from the bell service. The counter person - Dawn - was insanely rude and aggressive. She was not happy that we didn’t want valet. When we asked for our bags she argued that we needed to drive our vehicle up. We said no, we’d just like our bags. Finally she took our tickets and then we waited. And waited. And we can see our bags. Finally we went back to the counter and she sent out a man that asked very passive aggressively what the problem was. We explained we just wanted our bags. Again, he was annoyed that we didn’t want to do valet. After several minutes they rolled out our stuff. Besides the bell service it was a great place to stay. But for the amount of money they charge per night I’m not ok with any kind of disrespect from anyone that works there.

Grand Californian is the only place we consider when visiting Disneyland/California Adventure. The convenience of accessing the parks, especially when traveling with small children that need a break in the day, is priceless. The only thing that surprised us this year was trying to come back to the hotel from Disneyland after California Adventure closed. We were directly to go through Downtown Disney, and that was easy enough.

Convenient to the parks, but lots of hiking. Seems like there’s only one or two signs on the properties. Employees were all helpful but two dozen signs would free up these people to work at something. Staggeringly expensive, too The cafes/restaurants are excessively priced for a buffet or dealing with the lower spectrum of "food".

Stayed ar one of the resorts to get into disneyland park early. That was not available for the day we went. We ALWAYS go to disneyland first. One staff told us to change our park to DCA. No thank you. That was the only reason we wanted to stay there was earlier access to disneyland. Ate at Storytellers. Recommend not to. First poor service. Second we all got food poisoning. Asked multiple stagg location of the hot tub and were told inaccurate location each time.Attempted to speak to management but they were busy.

Overall I would say it was not worth the money. Hotel was clean and close to parks. That was the only nice things. Lobby was always crowded as anyone could access the hotel. People who were not staying there were sleeping in the lobby. Bar drinks were terrible, didnt even finish mine. Breakfast was not worth the price. The 1 omelet bar line was to long, eggs were runny and no toast. Room was in the worst location near the elevator. You heard wvery screaming kid getting off. Couldnt sleep-

Difficult to get dining reservations. Room did not get made up until late in the day (after 4:00) and when it was made up the coffee etc. was not replenished. We had 3 adults booked but the room was replenished ( after asking) for 2 people.

The connivence of the hotel is what you pay for. Which is somewhat overpriced. The dining options were to difficult to get into. There was nothing very welcoming about this hotel. Also, the the water refill station areas were ridiculous to find and employees were of no help.

Our stay at the grand California was amazing. The own entrance to CA adventures was awesome! The staff was very helpful and attentive. My one complaint was our room was 6 rooms down from the elevator & was so loud, at night when everyone came home from 10-12 and then early in the morning, woke me and my husband up. The rooms in my opinion need an update for the price. The pool was so fun; their layout chairs were so comfortable. They had lifeguards everywhere that were very attentive on duty! The food was also better than Disneyland hotel. We ate at Goofys kitchen and it was not good, wish we would have stayed on property at storyteller’s cafe! Our family had the best trip and paying extra was worth it, in our opinion!

Staff were incredibly friendly, the convenience to the park immeasurable, and in whole entirely a lovely memory for my children. Only wish I booked a room with a view of the park and fireworks.

The front desk were very professional and helpful! The kitchen staff and food delivery personnel were awesome! The valets and housekeepers were diligent and delightful! The staff at the Tenaya Stone Spa were Amazing and so Thoughtful to my needs!!
