Nice hotel with friendly staff. The carpet could use a good clean or replacement but the room overall was clean. Sad the hot tub was not working so enjoyed the heated pool instead. Breakfast was bacon, eggs, waffles and fruit.

Very nice hotel, beautiful pool and seating areas. Only quibble is they will not allow you access to the pool while you wait to get into your room. Typically hotels we at in will allow this if you arrive within n hour or so of your check in if your room is not ready you can hang out at the pool. Other than that our stay was excellent.

Very charming, beautiful and unique lobby and common areas of hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful especially the lady in the upstairs breakfast area. Hotel exterior also beautiful and very well kept!

I enjoyed the look inside of hotel. Very comfortable. The bathroom was nice having a cabinet for storage. The soap dispensers in the shower were very cool to use. Outside was green and friendly. The pool area was somewhat hidden for privacy. I would book it again!

Close to Pismo Beach and things to do. Bathroom didn’t have body wash shampoo and conditioner even though they had dispensers for it. Pool didn’t have any towels at all. You can hear people above you walk around.

The key door was not working at all. Every time I left the room, I had to go to the office to get a new key, but the new key didn’t work either. A maintenance guy showed up and replaced the battery, but the door still wouldn’t open. The carpet was extremely dirty — my feet turned black, and I had to wear shoes. The only thing I liked was the heated pool and spa (although it was broken on the first day). We stayed in room 223.

The property on the outside is beautiful but the rooms had old carpet and it smelled so badly of urine. This is a pet friendly hotel so they should not put people in pet friendly room or they should invest in different flooring because the smell kept me up.

The good-The front desk staff were wonderful, polite, professional and very hospitable. We would stay here again just on how friendly the staff were. The beds were comfortable, the rooms (excluding the carpet) were clean and comfortable. The bad-The rooms however smelled extremely bad, moldy and the carpet was filthy, damp and when we walked around barefooted on the carpet our feet were black on the bottom. The smell was overwhelming- since they operated next to the ocean I anticipated a slight odor- but none of us we’re prepared for how strong it was.

Oh man, I feel so bad for writing this but the place was really, really gross. The room was so old, dirty and outdated. My kids wore their socks in the room, and literally after 3 mins, their white socks were black on the bottom. People were nice, food was fine, but the rooms. Mold in the bathroom, towel bar falling apart... so bad. Pics from the bathroom, pretty bad, but the carpet was the worst of the worst.

Let me start off by saying that the staff was AMAZING. Everyone who I interacted with was friendly and helpful. That being said, if you book here you need to be aware of how this place falls short. The main complaint about this hotel can be summed up in one word, DIRTY. Oh boy! Our room was old and dinghy. It smelled musty. The breakfast room by the pool was dirty. The carpets in the lobby were dirty. Seriously, be aware when booking. The price was good when compared to other hotels in the area. So if your booking here to save money, just know what you are getting into when booking. Like I said before, the staff was excellent! But I would not book here again.

Bed bug on mattress. Check your beds at ALL hotels!!!!! Trust me - not something you want to take home. The hotel and room looked decent. But unfortunately, when checking under the mattress - there was a bed bug on the bed skirt - didn’t even have to lift the mattress.

It's convenient to a strip mall and the freeway. The room was gross. There were stray hairs in the shower. The carpet was damp all around to the bed. There were stray long hairs in the bed. Never again.

The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit small. My neighbors were a bit noisy, and a bit worked up a bit because of the car show in Pismo Beach so lots of revving of engines. An explanation of the door locks/keys at the time of check-in would save a lot of time and frustration.

Everything was nice except that the refrigerator in the room was making noise all night, very loud noise, like a vibrating, rattling sound and it kept me up for hours and hours of the night. Other than that it’s one of my favorite spots to stay when I go to the Pismo area. Thank you.

Overall this place was pretty good. My only complaint was that this hotel wanted to charge a $25 early check in fee. Check in was at 4pm and I got there at 3:56pm. When I asked if I could check in, the man who helped me said, “Yes, but it will be a $25 fee.” I have never been to a hotel or motel that wanted to charge me a fee for checking in early, let alone 4 minutes early. Ridiculous!

The hotel room was nice, and the property was safe and convenient, however the staff when we checked in were not very accommodating or friendly. They also charge $25 if you want to get into your room before 3 pm - I understand if rooms aren't available, but the room was going to be available around 2 and if we wanted to get into the room before 3 pm it would be $25 extra. I haven't experienced that before especially with a Best Western, which I stay at different ones frequently

I arrived 20 minutes early and was told if I wanted to get in my room then it would be $25.00 extra ????? I have never encountered this anywhere??? Parking was super difficult. I would come back about 9:30 at night. I am handicapped and have a placard, but everything was gone had to go park quite far away.

Very disappointed in the early check in fee that they just started. We came 9 minutes before check in and they said that we would have to wait 9 minutes or pay $25. That left a poor taste in our mouth. We have come here several times and this will be the last time.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. But the sound insulation was terrible. We could hear the people walking above us and it was different people the different nights. We could hear the talking from next door. We left a day early to come home so we could get better sleep. Breakfast was watery scrambled eggs and weirdly cooked bacon. The yogurt was good and they had muffins and bagels in addition to waffles. They also had cranberry juice which was nice. The breakfast room by the pool was a cramped area and uncomfortable for eating. Later we learned there was another breakfast place above the lobby which was larger. From the parking lot there is a walking bridge to the shopping center next door which was nice. Enjoyed meal at Quarterback. There is also a grocery store there. We will not be staying here next time we are in the area.
