The room was fantastic, pool was clean. The only thing really to note was that there is a single elevator, and it is at the end of a very long hallway. If you need to move a lot of luggage or have mobility issues, try to get a room towards the end of the hall where the elevator is located. We had to move a bunch of stuff up a stairwell instead.

Paid for place, including taxes and fees through Hotels.com, then charged an extra $23 for parking and taxes on parking that hotel says is not covered by Hotels.com booking. Nobody at the hotel desk at check-in said anything about an additional parking charge that was applicable, nor any alternatives to paying such a fee. I've heard of parking charges in hotels in big cities, but Bishop is not a big city and one would never suppose that a parking fee would apply, unless it was indicated in advance. Might have been in the fine print, but generally this is a bate-and-switch tactic by Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was fine and breakfast was provided, but those staying here should factor in the parking surcharge or plan for alternative parking, when considering how competitive the pricing is on the hotel compared to others.

Large clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast very good. Sauna and hot tub a nice extra. Elevator added after building was built so at the far end of a long hall.

Very Clean quiet and comfortable hotel. Interestingly at breakfast, they had a fresh made pancake machine instead of the usual waffle maker. Another point was that they charged $22.00 per night to park in their parking lot which was full most of the time after 8pm. Another good point is that it is very close to the famous Schaat Bakery.

Clean rooms and great beds. Hot tub was cold so call before if that's something you're expecting. Breakfast was meh but thanks. Great place to stop to rest in route to your destination.

A/C was running continuously and the room was cold. The buffet breakfast was not well maintained. The elevator and hallways did not appear to be vacuumed. The room was spacious but the toilet had a very weak flush and the charging ports didn’t work very well. Beds were comfortable. Pool looked good but we didn’t use it.

very nice and friendly people. amazing service. the room was nice and clean and comfortable. we were downstairs, 1st floor, we heard a little noise from upstairs early in the morning but then settled down. would stay here again and recommend.

Lovely well maintained property. Room was very nicely appointed and very clean. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was decent with lots of choices. There is only one elevator at the very end of the building and the walk was pretty far for my husband who cannot walk far and uses a cane. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommended this property.

I was surprised with how much I disliked this hotel. Checking in I noticed a strong mold/mildew smell. Floors were dirty. I booked a king and asked if they had availability to swap to two queens. When I got to my room it was one queen. The breakfast was gross and had the whole hotel smelling like burned popcorn. As I made my kids’ plates an angry employee was slowly closing the door and scowling at guests. I thought this would be nice for the price and chain. Very disappointing.

It was great, clean nice friendly staff. EXCEPT the Air-conditioner....the entire stay that thing did not drop lower than 77 degrees I had to buy a fan to blow in the air from the small opening on the window Staff came and reset it twice ... it never worked I was not able to sleep the hear was unbearable it made me wish I had just stayed at my campground. If the AC would have worked it would have been a 10 out of 10 , but as of now i feel a little cheated .

Bishop is a cute town. This hotel is just okay in my opinion. Pros.....nice staff, it's clean, safe location. Cons...super strange room set up. The bathroom sink and vanity are actually in the main room area instead of with the shower and toilet. That meant that when my husband was trying to sleep, he got woken up because of the lights that I had to turn on to get ready. Then he really couldn't sleep because I had to blow dry my hair out in the main room. Pretty ridiculous. The blow dryer was a piece of junk, in fact it was the one that must have been anchored to the wall previously because that mounting unit was still attached. Super hillbilly. Breakfast was fine but they were out of coffee, out of eggs, out of yogurt, out of ketchup, out of hash browns. All at once, so they could have done a bit better to get ahead of the crowd so we all didn't have to stand around for so long. Will we stay there again? Not sure. I guess it would depend if all the rooms are set up with the funky-ness that ours was.

I’m extremely displeased. I was informed at check in that there is a $10 facilities fee. I wasn’t informed of this before the stay or when I called to confirm the reservation. The man at the front desk was completely inept and unable to explain what the fee covered or why it wasn’t charged when I booked the reservation with a credit card in the first place. It’s also worth noting this man could barely operate the computer he was using.

This hotel is nice in every way. From the greeting to the leaving the staff was extraordinary. They were helpful and very efficient and knowledgeable in answering our equation about dining and shopping in the area. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. I would highly recommended this hotel to anyone wanting a stress free and enjoyable stay.

Staff was very helpful. In fact Kirby brought the valet cart to our car. A first. Room was very comfortable and bright. Extremely better than the poor dark rooms with no privacy at the Marriott Walnut Creek two weeks ago.

Hotel location was very convenient and accessible, and next to a nice park. It was clean and well maintained with a friendly staff. But overall downtown Bishop is an unattractive sea of asphalt (5-lane Main Street) and very pedetrian unfriendly. Forget any evening stroll downtown.

King Suite roomy, comfortable. Great shower. Comfortable bed. Breakfast better than typical limited choices at other places. 5:30AM bkfst opening was appreciated as we were hiking every day. Good size refrigerator. Close to restaurants, bakery, etc. Within 30-60 min drive to many great E Sierra hikes. Nice jacuzzi. Friendly staff. Easy check in and check out. We would stay here again.

Upon arrival the lobby was filled with people looking for a room, there were none. Then the lady ahead of us was told her reservation had been cancelled. After a while a room was found for her party of 4. I was anxious about our reservation but it was OK! Our accessible room did not have an accessible bathroom, only one grab bar in the tub, so I could not shower, toilet too low and no grab bars. Breakfast was cold and dried out, coffee cool. Good hot water for tea. We won’t be back.
