Coast Burbank Hotel

Easy parking, helpful staff, shuttle service to nearby attractions (WB Studios, Universal Studios). Quiet and safe area with great restauraunts and a CVS within walking distance. Will definitely go back here for my next visit to LA!

The hotel was clean and safe. I loved how close in proximity we were to Warner. Brothers Studios, Universal and downtown. We were able to get a shuttle from the airport for free and used the shuttle twice more in the 4 days we were there. The rest of the time, we needed to pay for Uber bc it was seldom available. That was disappointing but other than that it was a great stay! *my sister thought the mattress was too soft, I didn’t think it was horrible…

The staff was great and the shuttle service excellent! You do need to schedule it in advance but we had to make several changes on pick up times and they were able to accommodate us for all of them. The one thing I did not like is that the pool and fitness room is located across the street at one of their other properties.

Pros: Clean, coffee pot, fridge, great customer service, shuttle service, great location, boutiquish (not a huge hotel), bar, restaurant on site, quiet (except the bar), AMAZING shower (double heads), great pillows, large window w/ great view. Cons: pool not on site, no microwave, food at hotel was ok (like a tv dinner), firm bed (could be a pro). Would most definitely return.

Beautiful hotel at a great location, but it’s too bad it doesn’t have its own pool or jacuzzi.

The shuttle service was exactly what we needed for our trip. The restaurant and bar was very good. Staff was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Always clean whenever we left to go out.

We had a 5 star stay at the Coast Burbank hotel. The facility was clean, the rooms were amazing, the staff is incredible. We did a quick 3 day trip to Universal Studios Hollywood, and Warner Brothers. The Coast picked us up from the airport, shuttled us to Universal and Warner Brothers and back to the airport. The staff and drivers were amazing and absolutely on time. We had an amazing stay.

The property was very clean, ALL staff very friendly, restaurant on property was really good for breakfast, we didn't get a chance to try it for dinner/lunch but I am sure it's also good. Property offers shuttle to many places, which is a big plus since ride share apps are pricey. Location is great, very close to shopping areas and dining options, as well as Universal. Only thing we didn't like was that the pool was shared by the property across the street, really wish they had a pool on the property we were staying at.

Rooms were very clean, especially the bathroom which is appreciated!

The Bar/Restaurant on the property was good, the staff at the front desk was nice. The room was dirty, the carpets were filthy my white socks were black from walking on the carpet. The beds were not comfortable, the sheets were scratchy and smelled strongly of chlorine. This property advertised free shuttle service to the airport and to Universal Studios, but only if you made a prior arrangement. The only time they had available to go to the airport was 7:30 am our flight didn't leave until Noon. The same thing happened with a shuttle to the park. Very disappointed as the shuttle was a major factor in choosing that hotel. I will never return to this hotel.

We stayed on the 1st floor in the hotel and the rooms are very noisy from upstairs. I was woken up at 7:30 when people started to walk around. I think the floor is very thing. The hotel is old. The room is big and clean. They said we can use the swimming pool next door of the safari inn. But you will have to walk outside on the street in your swimming clothes. My advise is don't stay in the first or second floor. Just stay in the 3rd floor if possible.

I would not stay here again for the cleanliness factor. The room smelled horrible; combination of a barnyard and old dingy socks. I've never experienced this. I could even get a whiff of this in the main hallways so likely it was not just my room. Rooms are supposed to smell of fresh clean linens and cleaning products. For me this is enough to never return it was that bad. I don't even want to know what was causing it.

My family stayed here for a trip to universal studios. The location is nice and close and the room was comfortable but it was VERY noisy at night. We were in room 239 that faces the lobby courtyard along with most of the rooms. This lobby is very nice and has a great vibe when you first walk in but sound carrys and the bar is located there so if someone was in the bar late laughing and having a good time everyone is hearing it. We also could hear people walking around upstairs. For the price it was fine but would wouldn't stay here again.

Overall wasn’t bad. Loved the shower! However didn’t like how thin the walls were. We were on the 3rd floor but still heard people laughing and taking in middle of the night from the downstairs bar.

Front desk was nice, accommodated our early check in but we arrived later than planned and the room was not ready (needed inspection). When we saw it, we didn’t know how it had passed inspection. Parking was easy but pool was at adjacent motel as was laundry. Wifi was slow and problematic. Kept limiting us to 3 of 4 guests at a time.

The hotel is a hidden gem. Definitely a good price for the location because it has free parking and shuttle to Universal’s studio unlike the Hilton next to the park which you have to pay for parking. The room (ie, king bed for two) was spacious especially the shower which had two shower heads, one being a rain shower head which was a nice bonus. And the staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is a nice rooftop desk nom the 2nd floor. You can sometime hear people above walking but it’s not too loud but it is an older building. It didn’t bother us. The shuttle driver was on time and so friendly. It’s saved us time and Monday parking at the studios. We’d return to this hotel if we come to Universal’s again.

Everything was great, beautiful hotel, excellent room with walk-in shower, and refrigerator, and extremely comfortable beds, The only thing missing was a microwave, which we really could have used, especially after coming back from a nearby restaurant with leftovers. I still rate it 9 out of 10!

Very noisy unfortunately it’s right on Olive Street and the car and traffic noise was pretty intrusive

Avoid rooms on the 3rd floor. air conditioning engines installed on the roof are noisy

Location and price were great. Nice room and bathroom. However, lack of wall outlets or USB connections made it difficult to charge a family’s devices.

This hotel presents itself as a higher-end boutique hotel, but they've invested primarily in externals like lobby decor rather than in areas that actually affect guests' experience. There were no reading lights near the beds, the pillows were lumpy and the mattress a little saggy, and the bathroom door was glass, so if you turned on the bathroom light during the night, it illuminated the whole room. I would not stay again.

When we checked in the two women at the front desk were not at all friendly. They acted as if we were bothering them. Free shuttle is a joke. There is no set schedule. You have to reserve a spot and it was never available for trips to and from Universal or the airport. We would not walk around this area at night. Nothing to do within walking distance anyway. Restaurant is nothing special. We ate there for breakfast and lunch. Rooms are a bit dated but fairly large and clean. Large bathroom. If your room is on the street side you will hear noise all night. Window is plexiglass.

I had a small problem with my room. They were MOST gracious about it and gave me a new, lovely room. I love this place. It's a darling small hotel with a lovely restaurant and bar, the people are amazing.

The Coast Anabelle Hotel’s “complimentary” shuttle service abandoned my wife and I at Universal Studios-Hollywood. We had a 4:30pm reservation to leave Universal, however, after being only 2 minutes late to the pick up location, my wife and I had the privilege of watching the shuttle pull away as the driver called and then promptly hung up on me. I called the driver back twice, as he drove away from us, but he did not answer. I called the hotel to explain the precarious situation we were put in, however, the front desk was dismissive. The desk clerk told me to wait for the next shuttle that would arrive an hour later. I explained to the desk clerk that we were left standing in the middle of a parking lot, in 80 degree weather, with no bathroom and was met with incredibly rude resistance. I was told by the desk clerk that it was “too bad” and we “had to wait.” Since it was hot and humid and we had to use the bathroom, I was forced to call an Uber and walk across two parking lots to get picked up. Upon return to the hotel, the front desk clerk would not even acknowledge my wife and I. After demanding an answer, I was finally told to speak to the manager tomorrow “if I insisted.” After waiting the next day to speak with the manager, I was accused of being inconsiderate to the shuttle driver and anyone else who may have been on the shuttle. I asked the manager for a refund for our Uber ride and was told by the manager that I was asking for an outrageous request.

By most standards, this is a nice hotel. The rooms are modern and clean, the food is good and the STAFF is friendly and helpful. If that was the end of the story, I would have given them 5 stars. Note that I said the staff is friendly and helpful. Sadly, the management CHOSE to turn what should have been a positive experience for my wife and I into a very negative one. On 1/17/2024, I booked a room through Hotels.com for 1/19/2024. Or so I thought. I immediately realized that I mistakenly booked the room for the 18th. I immediately called the hotel and asked them to change my reservation from the 18th to the 19th. They happily reserved a room for the 19th. Great, right? Wrong. After locking me in for the 19th they informed me that they were keeping my money for the 18th. It turns out that once you pull the trigger on a room at this place, that's it. No refunds, no changes, no discussion, no compassion. Plus, they tacked on a little extra for the 19th because it was a Friday. Even if they had charged me a reasonable cancellation fee, we wouldn't be having this discussion. But...no. Bottom line, my one-night stay cost me well over $500!! When I returned home I called the hotel to plead my case once more only to be told NO with a Sorry, sucks to be you attitude. So, if you choose to stay here, cross every T and dot every I and pray you don't need any humanity because none will be offered. What a shame.

The staff was exceptional with kindness and attention to detail. Simon really helped when we arrived and even a couple days before when I booked a shuttle and had a few extra questions.

The employees and Dennis ( Bar tender) made my stay with comfort, Professionalism, courteous and serviceable. I needed assistance with getting an uber and the help desk staff were kind and very willing to help. My room met all of my expectations with cleanliness, and the comfort that come with the accommodations. I highly recommend the hotel and would return again. Thank you all.. :)

Great location to visit Universal Studios, Griffith Park and other LA sites. Easy access to freeways. Quite location, includes parking.

Hotel is in a convenient area of Burbank near Warner Bros. studio. Excellent for families or couples. If you are going to downtown LA, it could be a 20 minute drive or forever due to LA traffic. Your decision to stay here depends on where you decide to spend most of your time in LA.

Besides the general ratings above, I loved the luxurious bedding, large shower, lush robes, nice toiletries. They also had a nice little bar area and restaurant with interesting, delicious food items. Plants and decor were beautifully done.

Great staff, good size room and shuttle to Universal Studios made this an awesome place to stay. My only complaint is for the Restaurant. Staff was great but food was not. The salad we got had lettuce that was turning red on the edges. The rest of the food we order was like grocery store deli food at best. Not worth the price.

Our room was comfortable, restaurant served good breakfast and dinner options and all staff provided great customer service. I would stay again.

This experience was far more than what we expected. Rooms were great and the bartender Ronnie, was excellent very personable and entertaining and entertaining. This is a no-brainer for one that wants to go into the Burbank area or go to Universal Studios. The bistro was awesome for breakfast.
