Bay Landing Hotel

A fantastic hotel if you are doing a quick stay over in San Francisco before moving on and no time to visit the city. The hotel is very close to the airport so we picked up our car straight away and took advantage of the hotels large free car park. The room was very spacious and clean, the free breakfast in the morning was excellent with waffle machines and excellent freshly made omelettes. Would highly recommend, no evening meal available so a quick 10 minute walk to Flightbar 101 (Marriott hotel) sorted us out with excellent Fries and Vegan Smash burger. Just what was needed after a long flight before jet lag took over and we retired to our comfy beds. Would definitely stay again.

Large quiet room, very comfortable with great staff and an excellent included breakfast. No other food offering though and no bar but otherwise excellent and a competitive price.

We did not have the included breakfast as we were were meeting friends outside. The room was large and clean. We landed too late to catch a cnnecting flight so had to stay a night. We had stayed there overnight before. Its well priced, clean and the rooms were quite spacious. Shame the airport shuttle service did not run later in the evening, especially for some international flight arrivals. It ticks all the boxes for that I need in an airport hotel.

Excellent location- close to airport and a lovely waterside path. Good value and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was good, especially compared to most US hotels in a similar price range. Great to have laundry facilities and shuttle bus to airport.

Great location near trails and the bay. Older hotel compared to others in the area but comfortable, clean and in great shape. Bed and linens were great. Good water pressure. Easy parking lot close to entryways. Free breakfast laughable but plenty of choices in area.

Shuttle was on time and very efficient

The hotel is clean and the front desk staff were very nice. The shuttle is reliable and the hotel has a complete shuttle schedule. Included breakfast was very good. The room did not have a single USB charging port. It would be nice if they could put in a charging hub. Not that difficult and it would make the hotel more attractive.

This hotel has seen better days. First, when I tried to call to inquire about the airport shuttle no one picked up. I ended up having to take a shuttle of a nearby hotel and walking from there at 10pm. I was then told they lost power that day and the phones were down. Next, the internet in my room didn't work. I spoke to the front desk multiple times and finally they offered me another room. Lastly, the gym is very musty along with most of the hotel. It is outdated and very much feels it. The breakfast is par for a 2-star motel. The location is great and if airplane spotting is your thing, this location can't be beat!

Good breakfast. Shuttle only runs every 45 minutes, which depending on the weather at SFO can be a problem. The shuttle was on time to its scheduled pick up at our airport location, so we were willing to wait outside.

Rooms were basic and clean. My room had a mini split unit for heating and cooling. Surprising to see an Ethernet cable in the room but I didn't try it because the room had wifi 6. Breakfast was fine with a variety of hot food (bacon scrambled eggs), waffle station, toaster, yogurt, canned fruit (peaches), fresh options limited to oranges and bananas. I would personally budget in more time for the hotel shuttle. The shuttle is NOT available 24/7 and it serves multiple hotels along the same road in addition to the Bay Landing Hotel. The shuttle runs every 45 minutes starting with hotel lobby pickup at 4:12am and ends at 11:42am. It takes a break mid-day and resumes pickup at 3:02pm and runs every 45 minutes until 10:32pm From SFO arrivals to the hotel I waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday night for pickup (wait at the Hotel Shuttles island at each terminal's Arrivals stage) From the hotel lobby on a Monday morning, the shuttle did not arrive at the scheduled 8:42am time, it arrived 12 minutes late at 8:54am, but took only 12 minutes to drive to SFO terminal 1. The shuttle stops at each terminal and make sure to tell the driver what terminal and airline you need

Staff was outstanding. Enjoyed having microwave, refrigerator and coffee in room. Very convenient. Only downside was room was a little rundown. Some stains in curtain/carpet. In bathroom sink was cracked and hot water was spotty for showering. Bed was very comfortable and room was a good size

The hotel looked really nice as we walked in. The front desk lady was super friendly as well. The room was big and roomy! It felt clean in the room and we had an amazing view of the airplanes coming in. It's right on the water and has a walkway along the water. We were able to walk out there at night and watch the airplanes. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was really good too °

We arrived and were given a room (320) and when I opened the door it smelled moldy and dirty. There was no visible dirt/mold but the smell was so strong we went back to the desk and asked for a different room. The clerk was polite and helpful. The second room (302) was much better. The rooms are clean but worn and need some love. Carpet is stained and worn, drawers didn't close fully etc. Mattress is good and bathroom was very clean. The shuttle was on time. The breakfast was good for a hotel buffet. If you are looking for a safe and clean hotel near the airport this one is worth trying.

Bay Landing is a serviceable hotel that appears to cater primarily to travelers coming from, or going to, nearby San Francisco International Airport (SFO). First and foremost, the staff were excellent from beginning to end. This is one of the big selling points for the location. Additionally, the provided breakfast had robust options both hot and cold. There was a steady stream of breakfasters, enough so that when my wife came down a bit later, she needed to sit outside of the designated dining area, which seemed to be permissible. The room itself was clean, and the size was as expected. The one significant downside was here: The room seemed very tired, and in need a glow up. The decorations and furniture were dated, which is fine, but there were multiple areas of noticeable wear and, most especially, peeling wallpaper. This was, of course, most prevalent in the bathroom, but not limited to that section. The hotel itself is located along the SF Bay south of the airport. The area has a mixed combo of other hotels, industrial parks, and some restaurants nearby (highly-recommend New England Lobster Market & Eatery a bit up the road). Overall, the additional amenities, quality of service, and relatively decent cost (for the area) make this a nice option for the traveller passing through, or the tourist who won't be spending a lot of time in their room.

The check-in was fast & smooth. The issue was when we ce to the room the bef is not set, there’s an empty bottles in trash can & the bathroom is not yet ready some towel were in the lavatory & the in the floor. I reported to the Front desk to fix.

The hotel needs updating and a deep cleaning. The worst part were the bedspreads which were immediately removed and put on the floor. All of the stitching was pulled out and hanging in strings. The beds were old and not comfy. There was no controller for the tv. The room was not ready 1.5 hours after the supposed check in time. The view was nice. It was close to restaurants.

It is a nice quiet neighborhood, but when we got into our room there was a used bandaid on the floor, the AC failed to work so we opened the windows to both air out the stuffiness and were also infested with mosquitoes (to which I am extremely allergic). To top it all off we almost missed our flight due to their shuttle driver running behindwith no explanation.

Beautiful hotel. Breakfast has hot and cold options. Windows open to get the bay breeze. The bayside promenade to walk along the water was a benefit for us. Will definitely consider staying there again.

Our room was large, quiet, and clean and breakfast was good. The shuttle driver to the airport was helpful for my husband with limited mobility. I loved taking a morning walk by the water.

Rooms are clean but dated - electrical outlets old and loose so chargers wouldn’t stay plugged in. No USB outlets anywhere. Easy access to airport and ample free parking. Staff exceedingly nice. Short stay before early flight. Would probably choose another hotel due to outlet issues.

Always stay here if going to SF. Comfortable room with space and view of bay.

Hotel is aging a bit, room could use updating and replacement of threadbare bedding and “crunchy” pad under worn carpets. Location was great, breakfast was good, great view; but the hotel itself could use renovation

Comfortable and clean, spacious room. Wonderful views where yoy can watch planes land at the airport. Staff were excellent and personable.

Great location, clean, comfortable rooms, and surprisingly quiet for being so close to the airport. Go for the waterfront view, and watch the planes come and go from SFO! Free breakfast and free parking were a nice bonus. Some of the furnishings were showing signs of wear...but for the price and amenities offered, we'd stay here again.

Only stayed one night but the room was clean and the convenience of the location was great. The room had great set up with the mini fridge and microwave. The bed was fine ( not soft but not super uncomfortable) and the linen was nice and clean. I did notice the electric plugs were super loose so our chargers fell out of the wall by the bed, but super great place.

The property is dated and worn. Peeling wallpaper in the rooms, a saggy bed, shower curtains, not modern or updated. The WiFi barely worked, which in this day and age should be something anyone can expect to rely on.

Have not been told that house keeping is on request only and after request on the fourth day no one showed up so for my whole stay of eight days my room was never clean once. It’s a disgrace,

Great friendly check in

Room was nice, clean and the bed was very comfortable. We needed the early shuttle to the airport (4:12am) and it was on time. The staff was friendly and attentive. We will stay here again

Quick check in. Super efficient and with lots of smiles. Large room. Comfy bed. Good location - quiet and direct access to walk along shore. No need to cross busy road.

We had an extremely disappointing experience at Bayshore Landing. My wife booked a room online, but when we arrived to check in, the front desk manager （named Sarah) refused to let us to check in cause my wife would arrived later—even after we provided my wife’s ID and explained that our daughter has a severe disability. Despite our honest efforts to clarify the situation and our family’s urgent need for accommodations, the staff showed no flexibility or compassion. We felt completely dismissed and disrespected. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially toward families dealing with serious medical challenges. Apart from this, the property is old and the mattress is also old to have a good night sleep.

This property was adequate for what was needed. They have a little shopping area that allows you to just charge the card to the room. I called to see if we could have earlier check in, got confirmation, then when I arrived we waited 3 hours in the lobby for our room. Twice we felt like the check in person was trying to get us to leave and eat somewhere instead of waiting in their lobby area. Also, they offer “free” transportation to the airport via another service. That’s honestly what brought their rating down for us. The driver yelled at us for not tipping(we had no cash) and then the next day (I got cash for him this time from their atm) he refused to help us and almost drove off when he saw we were waiting. We loaded our own bags and he kept harassing my husband. That made it a bad stay. The place was clean, the buffet was great, the staff was nice enough. It is a little older and kinda smells like it but like I said, it was adequate

Great hotel for overnight SFO layover. Like the free airport shuttle and breakfast. Nice location close to the airport and right by the bay with the view of the airport. A couple of restaurants within walking distance too. Overall great value for your $$.

This was my second time staying at Bay Landing. The staff is professional and friendly. I feel safe staying there because the building is secure with card key access. It is located very close to the airport. A shuttle to the airport is provided. It is located right on the Bay with beautiful views and a wonderfully scenic walking/running/biking path. Breakfast is included.

This is a nice hotel, very comfortable and convenient to the airport.. comfy beds.. good breakfast and free parking.. nice staff members.. keep in mind if you use the airport shuttle, it only drops off at departure gates.

I am happy with the room given. It was relatively quiet on the top floor. Short wait for the elevator, which was nice and may not be the case in larger hotels. WiFi in the room was good. The hotel is situated right at the bay front next to a nice walkway around the bay shore for a convenient morning exercise. My room came with complimentary breakfast for a one-night stay. Located 5 minutes from SFO, it also offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, which was an essential reason I picked this hotel. The downside being that long wait for the shuttle at SFO, which runs once every 45 minutes. You could be left standing at the curb for quite a while if you just missed the last one. Given the hotels shuttle serves are just 5 minutes from SFO, I believe there is room to run it more frequently like once every 30 minutes. Another negative experience I had with the shuttle is it did not follow the drop off sequence published returning to SFO. It was to stop at Terminal 1 first based on published times but instead stopped first at International Terminal for my ride. There are no eateries near the hotel so if you check-in after 9pm without a car and missed dinner, you may need to call delivery. There is no complimentary bottle of drinking water in the room. Hotel staff did prepare coffee and hot water at the lobby available to guests. Only other option for drink is a vending machine on my floor that charges $3 and accepts only dollar bills. Overall, an okay stay.

Very quiet except for some plane sounds; great view of the ocean and sunrise; excellent black out curtains; direct access to walk along the ocean; front desk very friendly and helpful; bed comfortable; breakfast buffet delicious; my flight was delayed and almost missed the last shuttle at 10:51 pm

Location - proximity to SFO airport, yet not hectic. Airport shuttle is a big convenience. Walking trails behind the property. Decent breakfast.

Although the property hasn’t been updated in a while, it’s in an excellent location to SFO, the free shuttle is easy and convenient, the property is very clean, beautiful view of the bay, and amazingly quiet. Breakfast was better than most and 24 hour coffee was perfect. Next time I’m commuting through SFO I’ll stay here.

The Bay Landing Hotel is one of the San Francisco Bay Area's most reliable and reasonable lodging choices. It offers free shuttle services to the San Francisco International Airport, where you can catch a BART train to San Francisco downtown, Oakland, and Berkeley. There are a Hyatt and a Marriott in the area. The Bay Landing Hotel may not be as luxurious, and it is a bit outdated. Still, the complimentary breakfast offers many hot and cold items, and the parking is free, which other luxurious places do not offer.

The breakfast each morning was outstanding, and having hot coffee available throughout the day.

Hotel is a bit dated. Location is by the airport and you can see planes landing and taking off, which can be fun. Breakfast was the usual suspects: omelets, potatoes, bagels, waffles, juice. Most of the fruit was canned and in syrup. They had fresh oranges but no bananas or apples. Notably, the breakfast did not include any meat, e.g. sausage or bacon.

A lovely hotel with beautiful views over the water. The hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable. The $11 per room credit for the hotel snack shop was a nice touch. The one slight criticism was the inconsistency of the hot food offered at breakfast. On day one there were eggs, bacon and pork sausage. On day two the bacon and sausage were replaced by cubes of fried potato. A very poor substitute. On the plus side there were plenty of non hot options and fresh waffles, and the food was topped up regularly.

The breakfast is terrible and doesn’t start until 6am which can be late if you’re in a hurry to the airport
