Staff was polite and friendly. AC worked overtime. Room was clean, area is full of nice restaurants. Only real drawback is the flooring was warping

So far it has been one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in the last 2 years in the San Diego area. First off, I travel with my kids and I always choose fo stay at an hotel with a pool/jacuzzi, but it was closed, lock on door and everything, it had a sign from the city, something about a violation code. Next, the room smelled like some sort of chemical, not cleaning chemical but something not healthy. Third, the hallway where ice machine is at smelled disgustingly like urine. Forth, when I was checking out in the morning, I had a question and I tried to open the office door and the receptionist just looked at me and pointed towards the windows to drop off the key. And lastly, the price, $211 for one night, one bed, the a/c was loud and the smell of the room was unpleasant. It was just not a comfortable stay to say the least.

Stayed 1 night

The room was clean but felt weird. The restroom had damage to the walls. The towel handle was broken. There were only two towels, one hand towel and a bath mat/towel provided. The building is pretty beat up. We did not expect that from the pictures on the website. The elevator certificate has been expired for two years. Although the elevator buttons didn’t light up, it worked. Check-in was easy and the lady there was very nice. We were asked for both of our ID’s, our car license plate and a credit card. We slept well and comfortable but every sound coming from outside made me nervous.
