Lobby and check in is under construction. Property is under new management and rooms were slow to be available for check in. We waited at the pool until a room was available even though we had a reservation.

The place was in need of repair. The lobby was not open so we had to stand outside to do business. They didn't service the rooms unless you gave them a request to do it a day before. Check in later tough luck. None of the exercise equipment works. Terrible place!!!

Room was covered with pubic hair anywhere you looked. Linen was badly stained and the room smelled dirty. There was trash in the trash cans and the workers were just doing their job. Dirty parking lot and the entire property was not properly maintained. They breakfast was terrible and most of the nights we will go get something from front desk they had it closed completely. We will not be back again.

A lot of commotion going on throughout the night. The room was dirty. The bathroom was dirty with hair on the toilet and in the bath. The toilet seat had streak marks of bodily fluids on it. The towels had hair and stains on them. This place is under construction and it was fully booked so there were no other rooms at the moment. Price doesn’t match.

This property served its purpose! We just needed somewhere to stay for a weekend. Although it’s right off the freeway, you can barely hear the noise from the inside of your room. The only thing is that the property is kind of outdated. So if you don’t mind that, then you should be fine.

Worst hotel i have ever stayed in. Best Western should be embarrassed that this is one of their hotels. Upon checking in i was told we had to notify them 24 hours in advance if we needed housekeeping. Breakfast was subpar. Noisy location near the freeway and every night had to ask others to keep the noise down. People did not know how to be quiet even past midnight. Maintenance seems non existent. AC did not work very well, but it would try for a second or two and then make a lot of noise.

The room was the exact one in the photos, but it looked like it was a photo from when the place first opened. The room has a very filthy carpet and the room looks pretty worn for wear. Not to mention the lobby is completely closed for renovations and check in happens through a sketchy window that you can barely hear the staff from. There was also a very loud motorcycle gang that rested there and they were insanely loud past midnight. Despite that, the staff in the morning and housekeeping was so so nice and breakfast was very good. I wouldn’t stay here again, but I certainly am thankful for the people who work hard in these conditions.

Arrived at 5:30 and room not available. Rooms not ready for lots of travelers. All told to return in 30 minutes or so. Check in clerk was very nice, apologetic. Held composure as was taking a lot of verbal abuse. He could not get answer from housekeeping staff/supervisor. (Super was at counter at one point and just glared at him when he asked her how long). At least three housecleaning staff were mulling about the lobby and in/out of kitchen/breakfast area. (Why? One spoke across lobby she was on a break). When we got our room it was very clean, nice. But delays in check in (not until 6:45) made us late for an engagement. 😠☹️ Again, young man working check in was great. Patient under pressure, remained cheerful when I was sympathetic to his situation, he was completely apologetic and still executed the best customer service he could under the circumstances out of his control.

I stayed there on 2 separate visits. Its a little older but in decent shape. Daniel and Angel at the front desk are fantadtic. Super helpful and kind. Not impressed with room service. Tjey dont tidy up rooms. You have to request supplies. Besides that. I enjoyed both stays.

This is really a motel not a hotel and barely a level above a motel 6. Staff were not accommodating at all. Arrived at 3:05 pm and told to come back at 4 pm. I've never had a problem checking in a little early especially at 3 in the afternoon.

Great stay and the staff, especially the front desk staff, were the best part. Highly personable and friendly, very accommodating as we arrived much earlier than check-in. They let us safely leave our bags with them and recommended local breakfast/brunch spots while they saw what they could do about getting a room as early as possible. And they did! We arrived at like 10am and figured we would just hang out and explore until maybe 3pm at the earliest, but he found us a great room ready by 12! Highly recommended if staying in Chula Vista/National city area!

Property is close to the 805 freeway which goes to Mexico so there is a lot of noise from the road. There’s no daily maid service which wasn’t an issue for me but might be for some. Breakfast was okay cereal and hot options. Nice pool and the staff were good. Handy for visiting various places in San Diego. Was good value for money

Breakfast was just okay and the exact same servings each day. Needs variety. Place was very noisy. We had two rooms on the 3rd floor facing the freeway and the noise from the freeway and the adjacent freeway on-ramp was so bad that we had a hard time getting a sleep. The lobby was under construction. The man servicing the breakfast area was doing a great job. Breakfast area had limited sitting and we had to sit by the pool to eat our breakfast on 2 of the 3 days we were there. But the biggest issue was the freeway noise. If you have to stay here, request a room on the east side of the building and lower floors since the freeway is about the same level as the 3rd floor.

We stayed for 1 night and AC wasn’t cooling bathroom light didn’t work and ice maker machine wasn’t working either. There was no way to keep cool on a hot summer night. Informed receptionist in the front and took my message hopefully they were able to fix it.
