Really nice motel. Parking lot was small and first come first serve. The shape of the room was odd but it was nice, clean, and quiet. I would stay there again.

We love this place if you want to be in downtown Davis. Boutique hotel which has been nicely renovated. Only critique would be that the parking spaces are limited and tight.

Parking spaces are very tight. Noise AC unit. Staff and breakfast are great.

Cute hotel in downtown Davis. The location was excellent - easy walking distance to town or campus. Having breakfast included was a nice add-on. The only negative was limited parking - the parking lot was often full at night, necessitating street parking and moving the car in the morning to avoid parking fees.

Clean rooms & friendly staff. Parking was tricky cause of guests taking up two spots due to the lack of parking striping.

It is located in the heart of college town Davis. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Parking at the facility was very limited. Had to park on the street even though I was a hotel guest.

Super sweet property. Right in downtown Davis. On site parking. Lots of dining and shopping opportunities. It’s nice to support an independent business.

The location is great, surrounded by restaurants and shops. Parking is tight, and they don't have enough spaces for everyone. Street parking costs, but is free after 6pm or all day Sunday. My room was nice, but there was a sweatshirt sitting on a chair, and the shampoo bottle was almost empty, which made me doubt the overall cleanliness of the place. All in all, good value for the money, as the location can't be beat and the room was comfortable, but they need to have higher standards when it comes to cleanliness.

Recently renovated, clean, exactly what we needed for a short stay in downtown Davis for an event. Parking availability was a huge plus.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, easy parking

I had a decent stay. The room itself was fairly clean, except for a few bugs that kept popping up dead. I’m not sure what kind of bugs they were, but I found like 3-4 of them on the floor. They looked like tiny beatles or roaches. There were also some rodent droppings as I was coming the exterior stairs, but they really can’t be expected to prevent that on the exterior. I would expect someone to promptly clean up the droppings before too many guests see it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the room looks really nice and renovated. The glass enclosed shower and updated, contemporary bathroom in general was a huge plus. The sheets were clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I had to take stars off because of the aforementioned pest issues and the noise. The in room heating/cooling unit was very loud. The refrigerator was all very loud, when it kicked on. And I don’t know if the walls are just thin, or have poor sound insulation, or both, but I was able to hear everything going on outside (people, cars, etc.) and all these woke me up several times throughout the night. And someone started using a leaf blower at 7am and the sound just went right through the windows/walls. There was no more sleeping for me after that.

Carpet was dirty and staff was very rude. Would not recommend staying here.

The ROACHES in my bed and though out the room

I’ve stayed at this location over 50 times and loved it. I stayed there the Tuesday and Wednesday. And woke up to cockroaches in my bed and the staff, which I known well in the course of staying there as often as I do, just stare at me and said it’s because of the rain????? They were in my bed!!!!! I could not believe it and have had nothing but good memories and service at the vine inn the davis

This property is so clean with microwaves and mini refrigerators in each room. One block from downtown. The shower is a great size. There isn’t a great deal of bathroom counter space nor is there a dedicated closet, but it certainly wasn’t an issue. There is a hanging bar for clothes, desk space, and two benches. Loads of room for a few nights visiting Davis.

Experienced some dips in WiFi/reception, but the actual room was perfect!

Cute but disappointing. Thin walls let you hear sounds from your neighbors. Very small bathroom with no vanity is very inconvenient. Very soft bed. Wall heater was very noisy. No after hours check in on premises. You have to drive to another hotel to get your key.

I've stayed there many times. It has great downtown Davis location and reasonable rates. Service and staff were ok so was my room except for LOUD AC that went on and off all night in my room. Bed was comfy.

The Vine Inn is a lovely place to stay! The rooms are beautifully decorated, very spacious, and impeccably clean. The shower was fantastic—great water pressure and temperature. The location is convenient, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Davis.

Perfect location for our visit to UCD, we walked all around downtown afterwards. Super clean, nice updated rooms, well stocked, nice staff, no complaints!

Easy walk to restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Comfortable, nicely appointed rooms. But the plastic shutters do not keep much light out. And if you are on the ground floor every step upstairs reverberates through the room.

I couldn't sleep because the air conditioner was so loud

I was told at check-in that there would be free breakfast available at 7:00am the next day. When I arrived at 7:00am the next day, the sign on the door to the breakfast room was still flipped “Closed” and the door was locked. I had an important exam at 8:00am at the university, so I didn’t have time to wait around to see if/when they would open breakfast at the inn, and I left the Inn to buy breakfast at a local cafe. When I got back to the Inn from the cafe at 7:20, I went to check the door of the breakfast/dining room again and it was still locked/closed. The woman who was supposed to be working emerged from her car with an empty fast food bag that she was disposing of. She yelled at me from across the parking lot saying “Just a minute and I can let you in for breakfast!” to which I replied telling her I already had to go and buy my own breakfast at a cafe because the dining room wasn’t opened when it was supposed to be 20 minutes ago and that I had an exam in 40 mins so I would just be grabbing my suitcase from my room and checking out. It looked like the worker wasn’t able to open the breakfast hall on time because she was late for work because she was busy buying herself fast food. The room itself was pretty nice (at least visually), although it had a terrible musty stench. There was also what appeared to be a dead wasp or a giant booger smushed into the wall by the light switch to the bathroom… so I have to question how thorough their housekeeping is.

Front desk completely unengaged and unaware over 2 shifts. Transient individual on the property blocking the stairs. No one to call to notify at the front desk. Only a Message on phone saying we are closed for the night. Davis is a safe town but feel very uncomfortable here.

The front desk attendant consistently demonstrates a courteous and respectful demeanor. Service is consistently excellent.

If one makes a reservation through Expedia, it will not be honored. Management had no problem letting me know they "overbooked." I made the reservation two months ahead. My family had to be separated.

The hotel over booked and part of.my family had to be relocated to another hotel despite paying thru your site. We will work on refund cause this is unacceptable

Expedia couldn’t get in touch with hotel to fix reservation problem. Person behind desk was unhelpful. I’ve booked over 100 rooms in past year, and this was one of the worst experiences.

Staff was extremely helpful and responsive. I was initially in a room that had a gas leak smell. The next morning I requested to be changed to another room and they did that right away. It was resolved seamlessly, and I was very grateful for the way the staff responded.

Such a cute place right in town—in the middle of everything but very quiet!

If you're looking for a nice place to stay right in the middle of a vibrant University town, this is the place. It is conveniently located to UC Davis (a 10 minute walk) and many eateries/tea and coffee/shops right next door. The room was spacious and well appointed. Refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker were also in the room. For its location, it is surprisingly quiet. (There is an Amtrak station several blocks away, so there is some train noise, but not disturbing.) Note that if you take Amtrak, you can walk down to the Inn, as long as you're not carrying an excessive amount of luggage. We will definitely stay here again. The price point was below the other University hotels in the area.

Extremely convenient, right in the center of downtown Davis. It was near all the restaurants and a few blocks from UC Davis campus and memorial union. Very clean and new.

Great location for visiting downtown Davis and campus. Breakfast was just some danishes, boxed cereal and not great coffee. Go down the street to get breakfast. Could be a loud location on weekends when UC Davis is in session.

Excellent location right in downtown with free but limited parking. Recent remodeled rooms are nice and clean, although a bit rough around the edges. Free "breakfast" was poor with very limited choice and most things unavailable. The air conditioner/heater was annoying and kept me up. Front desk help was hard to find.

Excellent shower and pressure. Clean and recently redone rooms. Comfortable bed! Breakfast was very good with many solid options. Quiet!!! Only negative is the lotion/shampoo that comes in room to use - the containers are Very hard to squeeze product out.

It was a decent place to stay. It is downtown and close to restaurants and the University. Breakfast was not opened when they said it would be open, it was about an hour later. It was fine since we didn’t have an early day.

We loved our stay. It's a no frills hotel, but it was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and in very close walking distance to downtown and the campus. Breakfast was perfect for us - good orange juice, yogurt, egg muffin sandwiches. Very pleasant staff.

The air conditioning unit was so loud that it kept waking me up but the room remained hot. Cleanliness was fine. The continental breakfast was poor. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would not stay here again and cancelled my return reservation.

Breakfast muffins were so good! I didn't like that you have to request room cleaning in advance. No one answered the phone when we called for service. We needed to physically walk to front desk.

Easy check-in, fantastic location/walking distance to many restaurants, felt safe, shower water pressure was fantastic, and overall an enjoyable stay. The breakfast was not the best. Keurig coffee, packaged oatmeal/cereal, and some bagels. No fruit. All in all, we will definitely stay again.
