Only 1 elevator out of 3 were working . On 5/26 none of the elevators were working in the morning. Had to come down the stairs with luggage from the 6th floor . No warning had been giving . Even though we had asked for the room not to be cleaned till after we checked out, it was cleaned and the food we had kept to eat later was thrown . Housekeeping kept knocking at 9 am to check if we wanted the room cleaned ! The 1 day we did eat breakfast there , the staff seemed fed up and the trays and bowls had not been refilled . Not staying here again Will not be staying

The jacuzzi didn’t work, the fridge in the room didn’t work. One lady at the desk had a bad attitude & the other one was a lot nicer . The pool was kind of dirty & there was BROKEN GLASS in front of the pool area that we had to pick up before letting the kids have there fun

We called prior to our travels about the airport shuttle, they said to just call when we arrived. We tried calling for an hour and the hotel never picked up!!! We ended up having to take a bus to a different lot and the then pay $25 for a 2 mile taxi ride! My husband had gotten very sick while traveling so it was extra frustrating. What should have taken 2 minutes took close to 2 hours! And even at the hotel, they were so understaffed that when I called the front desk I couldn’t get an answer, so I had to walk down to the front desk (to ask for bedding for the pull out bed). The hotel was very nice. The room beautiful, but so understaffed. Incredibly frustrating!!!

The hotel is in a good location and has good parking. Housekeeping staff let the place down repeatedly however. From not leaving refreshment supplies to leaving cleaning equipment in the bathroom. The final nail in the coffin was the pool - it was so filthy we could not see the bottom. So disappointing as our sone really wanted to take a swim there.

Nice clean room. It was supposed to offer 24 hr shuttle service…wrong! We had a very early flight and had to leave at 5 am. No shuttle service. They gave us the name n number of a third party. The cost was $15/adult, $10/children. So disappointed. They needed more than one person at check-in. Two people ahead of me and I waited over a half hour because one person had a reservation that somehow got cancelled. Two people would have been great!!

Everything was good except the pillows. They were very flat and small. I usually see extra large or even body pillows in hotels. But the ones at this hotel were very small and very flat. They provided little to no support. I didn't have the breakfast, didn't use the shuttle, and the staff was very friendly. Terrible pillows though.

Usually I wouldn't write a review but my experience at this Doubletree was so bad. First, usually my stay at a Doubletree includes one of their famous chocolate chip cookies at check in but I wasn't even offered one so that was already a sign that we were going to have a bad experience. Secondly, the walls and windows are not insulated from sound so you can hear everything happening around the room. I would have expected being in proximity to LAX airport that we'd get airplane noise, but thankfully that was not the case. Instead we had the following two situations which made our stay challenging. Our room was situated on the second floor, directly above the event room where on Saturday night (8/23) there was a retirement party with amplified music and karaoke happening after we returned to our room at 8:30pm after a long day out. We were told by the hotel staff that it would stop immediately at 11pm but it didn't stop until 11:30pm since we had to call again at 11:10pm asking why the party hadn't ended. We were not given any heads up that a party would be directly beneath our room with the bass coming from the music impacting our quality of rest. We were also not given any compensation or offer to move rooms due to the noise. On the following evening, a car in the parking lot decided to play "And the beat goes on" by The Whispers (ironically) on repeat more for over half an hour. It took another call to the front desk to call security and address.

Our shower was very hot, too hot to use at times, and the water pressure was basically nonexistent. The ac was also having trouble and not staying on, so it would get very hot at times. The sheets and blankets were also full of stains and there was something that resembled blood stains on the curtains. The staff were kind but the whole overall experience could have been better.

Walking distance to supermarket and eateries. Bed super comfortable, quiet rooms, with a small empty fridge. Nice lap pool but didn’t get to use it. Close to LAX, lots of gas stations. The only complaint I have is the bathroom light on the mirror which is motion detected. It can be manually turned off after it has been turned on but it turned on by itself again after a min or so. It is a nuisance going to the bathroom in the middle of the night! No way to turn it off completely.

Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. However the building seem bit old, the AC was noisy (turn on / off during the night), bathroom fan did not work (smell stayed in bathroom), and some small minor inconveniences. Nothing like a dealbreaker, was a reasonable value when stopping between two flights, very close to LAX with free shuttle is added value.

The hotel itself was nice, but during our stay they ran into power issues / leaks leading to the following problems for several days / nights: The hallway lights were completely out Most of the outlets in the room were out The wifi was out The TV was out The fridge melted There was no hot water for a night All of the elevators were out The washing machine / drier were out (despite the card reader still running) The lobby bathrooms were out These issues were mostly just unfortunate timing for things going wrong, and was not the fault of the hotel itself.

I am writing to formally report a serious incident that occurred during my recent stay at Doubletree from 11/26-11/29 in room 430. On the night of 11/26, at approximately 11:00 PM, a member of your staff entered my room without knocking, announcing himself, or providing any identification. He later stated that he believed my door was “slightly open,” but regardless of his assumption, entering a guest’s room, especially that late at night, without attempting to knock or verify occupancy is a violation of basic guest safety and privacy protocols. Upon entering, he later identified himself as security. At the time, I was in my undergarments, and as a woman traveling alone, this unexpected intrusion left me startled, uncomfortable, and feeling unsafe. This experience falls far below the standards I expect when staying at a reputable hotel, and it undermined my sense of security for the remainder of my visit. I made my way downstairs to speak with the host to report the incident. I was immediately informed the hotel doesn’t have onsite security. The fear in my mind began to race as I questioned who was the man that just entered my room? As I begin to describe him, I was informed it was your building engineer. Given the severity of this incident, I am requesting compensation in the form of a refund for that night’s stay, or an equivalent accommodation. I believe this is a reasonable request considering the distress and breach of privacy I experienced.

I was surprised that my reservation was not honored because I opted to pay in the property. So, we didn’t have a room when we get there. I wanted to commend Daniel, who tried his best to get us a room and we were upgraded. It’s my first time in my whole life of booking and when I get to the hotel, I was told we don’t have a room. It was a very sad experience because our flight was delayed and we arrived in the hotel at midnight and no room for us.

Everything is fine except your service. Front office girl was rude and clearly didn’t want to help when I asked her where the pool was located. By the way, she’s the one that checked me in and took no time explain where everything was, so we had to figure stuff out. After we spent some time in the pool, we did our best to dry off and my daughter dripped a little water on the floor on the way to our room and a girl that was setting up for a party asked in a snarky way, “you didn’t find the towels?” She’s 7 years old. Rooms are clean at least, but the building is dated and the service is the worst I’ve ever had a hotel.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton LAX – El Segundo, and this place is awesome! First off, it’s super close to the airport and conveniently located right next to the Mattel Corporate offices. The area and parking lot both felt extremely safe, which was important to me. I rented a car and parked on-site — parking was $35 per day. There are plenty of food and coffee options nearby, including Raising Cane’s, In-N-Out, Starbucks, and Ralphs — all within about a 10-minute walk (0.3–0.5 miles). I also noticed a Metro station just a short walk away, which could be handy for getting around without a car. The room was clean, and the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. While the hotel isn’t right next to major attractions, I didn’t mind driving — I chose this spot mainly for safety and convenience. It’s about 30 minutes to West Hollywood, 40 to Pasadena, and around 50 to Disneyland (depending on LA traffic, of course). The town of El Segundo itself is great — only 3–4 miles from the beach. Lastly, I have to give a huge shoutout to Edgar — he was a total rockstar! His customer service went above and beyond and really made my stay stand out. 100% staying here again

The staff was wonderful. Very friendly. My primary complaint is that the elevator situation needs to be fixed. It’s quite inconvenient for guests and for your maintenance and cleaning staff. Also, please make sure the pricing on your menu is updated. What I was charged for breakfast is higher than what was on the menu that’s posted. The hotel website states that there’s room service, but there isn’t.

The server at the restaurant kept ignoring me for a long time. I couldn't wait anymore, then I just left. This happened twice. The sink in my room stinks and the washroom water kept running making a noise. There is no toilet paper, the plastic bag for the trash can was not set. It was not a pleasant stay to be honest.

Stayed here the night before we flew home out of LAX. Check in was quick and staff was friendly and there are welcome cookies! The room was clean and comfortable and the window opened to enjoy the breeze and fresh air. The pool was clean and enjoyable. Breakfast was delish and our shuttle to the hotel was safe and convenient.

First stay at this location. The staff was very congenial and helpful. The cookie was delicious! I also enjoyed the bar and restaurant for dinner and breakfast buffet. Good fresh food and well prepared.
