Hilton Garden Inn LAX El Segundo

Everything about the property was excellent. The beds were very comfortable, the room was very clean and spacious. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the shuttle. The earliest available (6 am), without paying $15/person, was on the tight side of getting to the airport for a 8 am flight, especially since an additional stop was made, resulting in an overfull bus. Luckily for us we were the first stop at the airport. Adding a 5:30 am shuttle time would make this perfect. The $15 fee is crazy since we Ubered back from the airport for $15 for 4 of us.

Typical airport hotel, with a nice outdoor pool and hot tub. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. I would advise those who would like to use their hotel shuttle from the airport to be aware not to take the shuttle with the big Hilton sign in blue letters, as many of us passengers did, because that will take you to the Hilton Los Angeles Airport, which is a different Hilton hotel, and either leave you there or take you back to the airport. Big confusion and inconvenience for many of us. Otherwise, it's a good hotel and I would stay there again.

Everything was as advertised, very easy to use the shuttle. Pool and hot top on point!

Good location for LAX airport. Room was spacious for 3 adults and 1 child. Would consider again if need a hotel near LAX. We had to leave for LAX at 4am hotel shuttle doesn’t operate at this time. Uber from hotel to airport was around $20 usd. Something to consider if you need the hotel shuttle before 6am

Great property and we had an amazing stay. Only thing would be that more parking is needed as it was often hard to find a spot at the end of the night. But definitely recommend.

Hotel is nice, it offers jacuzzi, swimming pool, and free pick up from/to LAX airport. Room is clean and spacious. Room cleaning service is every other day, unless requested 24 hours in advance to clean the following day. Parking is $20 per day. I've zero complaints about this hotel.

Overall this hotel has been wonderfully renovated. I hope that they will eventually renovate front desk staff. They were not very friendly or welcoming (specifically the men who I encountered at the desk). In my opinion, the parking is overpriced ($25 per night) for an unsecured parking lot.

Hotel was undergoing a remodel so it was a mess. Restaurant, gym and pool was closed. This was a reason I was staying there. Hotel had a bad smell. I was first given a room that was very far from elevator and lobby with a very bad odor. I was finally moved to a closer room that smelled a bit better. It was very disappointing and I won’t go back.

Quiet weekend stay. Metro is nearby. Room was very clean and bed comfortable!

Rooms were ok. There was hair on the bathroom walls and door. There was old flooring, toilet etc in the parking lot in the back lot, where we had to park.

The room smelled of dirty drainage. Needs the be serviced. Evert towel had hair on it.

The hotel was very clean and the room very comfortable. I appreciated that parking was secured. Unfortunately, the noise of other occupants kept me up quite a bit. Luck of the draw in room location I suppose.

The location was convenient, and check in was easy, but I've had better stays at other Hilton hotels The room we were given smelled strongly of mildew and set off my allergies for the whole stay. There was also an extremely loud vibrating sound that went on and off at odd intervals. When we called the front desk about it they stated they would send someone up to check on it but never did. When we called again they offered us ear plugs and laughed at our complaint. The following day a maintenance worker we encountered in the hallway asked if the sound was continuing and told us it was from the main air conditioning unit. The beds were ok, the decor was dated, and the staff were unhelpful. I'd recommend staying elsewhere

This place just fine. But cleaning is terrible. After two nights, we found out that bed sheets were not washed at all. I reported this and I just got an I'm sorry.

My room wasn\'t clean when I arrived. I asked for housekeeping and after they came (next day) the carpet still had not been vacuumed and the bedside table still had sticky dirty rings from some sugary drink. Toilet seat was dirty. I asked for some disinfectant wipes and was given a washcloth to clean it myself. Housekeeping came again the next day but still didn\'t vacuum. I stopped asking. There is limited food service (no lunch, dinner 5 nights) and you have to walk at least a half mile to the nearest restaurant, which I am capable of doing, but when you only have an hour for lunch (I was there for a training) that is challenging and not relaxing. I reserved a shuttle to the airport ahead of time for 5:15 am (not free at that time of the morning but I agreed to pay the $15) and when I checked out was told that had not been arranged, and the man at the checkout desk was apathetic. I ordered a Lyft and while waiting the shuttle DID arrive. It was too late to cancel the Lyft but fortunately a family was having similar difficulties and took the shuttle and I took the Lyft. The morning restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful, but the breakfast "buffet" was disappointing for $12. The hotel has HVAC problems - it was too hot/too cold in halls and meeting areas. AC in my room rattled. My room looked out on the parking lot where some kind of construction was happening, and the hotel is right next to the light rail, and twice there was a protest outside, so it was noisy.

The hotel is located next to a metro train stop. Although car traffic is lighter at night, the sound of trains arriving at the station can still be heard from the room. Additionally, the walls between rooms are quite thin, so conversations from neighboring rooms are audible. However, I found out that room service is not provided daily—it’s available only on certain days.

I had a fantastic stay at the Hilton Garden Inn LAX El Segundo! The hotel is clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable and pleasant experience. I stayed in a suite, and it was spacious, with the bedroom area offering plenty of privacy—a great layout for relaxation. The bed was incredibly comfy, and I slept well each night. The staff here are wonderful—very friendly and attentive. I also enjoyed the food at the on-site restaurant; everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay near LAX!

i liked that we could hardly hear planes from inside our room. i did not the worn out carpets in the hallways some places were bad enough to be tripping hazards.

The hotel room condition was excellent included bed and bedsheets and pillows. One thing that bothers our family is the sound of air conditioning is really loud and it keeps turning on and off all night long!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The place was clean, but every inch of carpeting and lobby upholstery needs to be replaced. We could hear the metro, every movement in the hall and thr tvin the room next door. The pool was nice.

Not to far to airport with a discount price. Stayed in the suite and it was big, clean and comfortable; although the furniture, carpet and walls look old and need to be refurbished. Free continental breakfast wasn’t a big deal, the usual poor quality and minimum choices, only had the fruit with yogurt. Complimentary airport transfer is good, works by request. On the other hand; amenities nearby are null; prepare to use taxi/rideshare or have your own car to get around in El segundo.

The young gentleman who checked us in was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean. The bathroom needed some updating (cracked floor tiles etc), but was clean. We actually thought the window was open because of the level of noise coming from the neighborhood.

I liked the efficiency of the shuttle. But the receptionists never make eye contact when you enter. So you stand in front of them waiting to gain their attention after they've treated you like a 3rd class citizen. They also don't look up to say goodbye when you leave. It's a 3rd class emotional experience. No issue with the room except one tile was broken and cracked in the bathroom and there are no towel racks. Lucky for us, we were on the 3rd floor away from an awful smell of mildew on the ground floor. Finally, as long as I was there, both visits, no one ever vaccumed the hallways. They were filthy. So was the elevator floor. At check in, the agent should explain the breakfast policy. Had no idea I had to pay for awful eggs, potatoes and even worse coffee. They should also explain there will be a charge for parking the car. They answer "yes we have parking." is insufficient when, upon check out, you're unhappily surprised by the parking charge on your your bill. All in all, the hotel is convenient, the beds excellent but I don't think this place is managed well. The slovenliness is a discredit to the Hilton name.

Staff was super friendly, and was able to help us find a suitable location for dinner for our large picky party. And was able to help with our luggage.

Chose to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn due to needing to fly in and out of LAX for a quick trip. Their airport shuttle is not 24/7. I landed at midnight the first night and then 2 days later, flew out at 6:00AM and spent $100 in Uber's going back and forth between this hotel and the airpot because their shuttle service was not available. When I asked if I could get a shuttle for my 6:00AM flight I was met with a short "we don't start until 6:00AM" and no solutions. I had to ask if I was going to need to walk to the airport or if they could help me figure out an option. When the first receptionist ignored me, the second was kind enough to point to a taxi QR code nearby and told me to call a cab. I wish I'd known a shuttle wasn't available to, it's the only reason why I booked this hotel. At the very least, they could have been kind enough to help me with some solutions so I wouldn't be stranded at 4:00am.

The shuttle service was outstanding and on time. We had requested a wake up call and we never received it.

The front desk staffs wasn’t friendly, I’ve extended for 2 days and they made me pay for 2 bottles of water and told me this is what Californians does. I will never return even the rooms are excellent

The overall was good enough, buy I was charged twice for a dinner. When I realized this fact, I sent a message via Expedia and after two weeks another email, but I haven't received any response yet. Moreover, the assistent at the reception has been very hasty with us, giving very poor info, both at the check in and the check out. For these reasons I must give a low evaluation.

Great location right next to LAX and the Metro. Quiet, clean, well-kept at a low price.

I have stayed here several times for various travel into the LA area from San Diego. This hotel is nicely located near LAX, shopping and restaurants. The location has less traffic than other areas and tends to be on the quieter side which is nice. Clean rooms, small on-sire restaurants makes it a great choice.

It was located in a nice quiet area and facility was clean and well maintained. The shuttle bus to the terminal was 10 mins ride and very convenient.

Stayed here while attending an event at SoFi Stadium. It’s not too far for ride sharing. The front desk staff were friendly and our room was clean. We got a good night’s sleep. For the price, this place is great for a one or two night stay.

Hotel location is very convenient to LAX and getting on the freeway to explore Los Angeles. The service was ok and the hotel needs to be updated. The walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors through the day & night. The bathroom was fairly clean, however house keeping never came to clean during our 3 day stay.

Very noisy outside with the train being right at the property line and the area felt unsafe. The property and hotel was nice. Unfortunately first off I didn’t realize I had booked accessible and it meant it was for disabled and secondly, the shower was set up as such and was not appropriate for fully abled persons. The elevator backed on to the room and made for a very noisy room also.

House keeping support to clean the room every other day. They came to clean and replace the towels on the forth day only after we contacted the service desk. The hotel did not provide shower cap. I used the one I brough but the staff through away mine even I left it on the shelf. The breakfast did not have much selections. If you ordered sunny side eggs, you cannot have scramble egg. If you ordered bacon, you cannot have sausage. The quantity of food are in small portions. The breakfast was included in the hotel cost otherwise I will go somewhere else. The location is remote. It cost me a fortune to get a cab or Uber to go down town or the breach. Approx. $100/day for transportation. I don't think I will ever come again or recommend to my friends

Great service. Friendly and super helpful employees. Quiet room. Got the free breakfast buffet which was super delicious and freshly prepared! Free shuttle to and from LAX.

I came to the Hilton as part of my El Segundo high school reunion party. The hotel rooms were clean, modern & kept up. Staff was excellent, kind, quick to help with any kind of needs. The food in their dining area was delicious. Didn’t take long to get your order. Overall, I would return and highly recommend the Hilton Garden Hotel to any travelers.
